This is an email I received today. I've copied it here. Take a look. It ain't pretty.

Be aware of what lies ahead.--Here is a little bit of the bad news.
    Read it and weep!
Then be sure to get out and Vote in November so we can get rid of this POS!!
Please for the sake of many good people. . . ..be informed please .
YOU ARE NOT GOING TO LIKE THIS...Vote
At age 76 when you most need it, you are not eligible for cancer treatment page 272
What Nancy Pelosi didn't want us to know until after the healthcare bill was passed. Remember she said, "We have to pass the Bill so that we can see what's in it."
    Well, here it is.
Obama Care Highlighted by Page Number
    THE CARE BILL HB 3200

JUDGE KITHIL IS THE 2ND OFFICIAL WHO HAS OUTLINED THESE PARTS OF THE CARE BILL.
Judge Kithil of Marble Falls, TX - highlighted the
    most egregious pages of HB3200
    Please read this........ especially
    the reference to pages 58 & 59

    JUDGE KITHIL wrote:

    **
Page 50/section 152: The bill will provide insurance to
all non-U.S. residents, even if they are here illegally.

    **
Page 58 and 59: The government will have real-time access to an
individual's bank account and will have the authority to make
electronic fund transfers from those accounts.

    **
Page 65/section 164: The plan will be subsidized (by the
government) for all union members, union retirees and for
community organizations (such as the Association
of Community Organizations for Reform Now -
    ACORN).

    **
Page 203/line 14-15: The tax imposed under this section
will not be treated as a tax. (How could anybody in their
right mind come up with that?)

    **
Page 241 and 253: Doctors will all be paid the same
regardless of specialty, and the government will set all
    doctors' fees.

    **
Page 272. section 1145: Cancer hospital will ration care
    according to the patient's age.

    **
Page 317 and 321: The government will impose a prohibition on
hospital expansion; however, communities may petition for an
    exception.

    **
Page 425, line 4-12: The government mandates advance-care
planning consultations. Those on Social Security will be
required to attend an "end-of-life planning" seminar every five
    years. (Death counseling..)

    **
Page 429, line 13-25: The government will specify
which doctors can write an end-of-life order.

HAD ENOUGH???? Judge Kithil then goes on to identify:

"Finally,it is specifically stated that this bill will not apply to
members of Congress. Members of Congress are already
exempt from the Social Security system, and have a well-funded
private plan that covers their retirement needs. If they were on
our Social Security plan, I believe they would find a very quick
'fix' to make the plan financially sound for their future."

    - Honorable
David Kithil of Marble Falls, Texas

    All of the above should
give you the ammo you need to support your opposition to
Obamacare. Please send this information on to all of your email
    contacts.

TIME TO GET ALL POLITICAL IN THIS BITCH!

And I am here to provide that information.

Cancer seems to be the go-to disease when you want to sway people in your direction. Now I don't know what act this guy was reading but I'm reading through the PPACA right now and there's nothing on this page that has any reference to cancer.

The actual quote is "we have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it, away from the fog of controversy", and she's talking about all the lies and false rumors that were spreading about it. Things had gotten so absurd that by this point many had given up on trying to have an honest dialogue about it, since people kept worrying about things that had no basis in reality. Pelosi was simply trying to say that once the bill is finalized and passed, then everyone can look at it and see, without question, what is actually in the thing

Actually, there are multiple parts of the bill that specifically state that the recipient of tax credits and other good stuff must be a legal resident of the United States. And while the bill doesn't specifically forbid illegals from buying insurance or getting treated at hospitals, neither did the laws in the US before the PPACA. So even at worst, illegals still have just as much trouble getting medical care as they used to.

Just checked the document to confirm this and I have not found anything that suggests it so I'm just going to disregard it at the moment.

Haven't found any reference to this either and I'm starting to believe that the person who made this email didn't do their research since section 164 isn't anywhere near page 65. Section 1303 is on page 65. ._.

On 6/28/12, the Supreme Court ruled that the act was Constitutional, as long as it was considered a tax on the uninsured and not a penalty for not buying insurance... nitpicking about wording, mostly, but the long and short of it is it looks like this was accepted by the courts BECAUSE IT WAS TREATED AS A TAX!

Incorrect. After 2015, a doctor's pay will be determined by the quality of their care, not how many people they treat. I personally don't know the full details of this part of the act yet so I suggest reading this to clear things up.

Have found no reference to this as well.

    Or this.

    Or this.

OH COME ON! NOT EVEN THIS! This page is actually the part of the bill where health care quality improvement are stated. xD

Not true. Members of Congress won't have a health insurance plan funded by our taxes anymore and will instead have to use the same health insurance that any normal citizen would have access to.

I thought something was fishy about this so I decided to do a little research, more like a little Google search, and I found that the bill being referenced in this email isn't even the PPACA, the actual basis for "Obamacare". It was instead the America's Afforadable Health Choices Act of 2009. Y'know...the bill that was never passed in Congress. Thus many of the references in here are irrelevant, outdated or both.

I'm just going to vote for the candidate who will not ruin America. By that, I mean I'm not going to vote.

If you don't agree, that's fine, I'm just putting this out there. However, I see no reason for the discourtesy. I was not rude, neither was the email I quoted. I am open to civilized discussion, in fact I love debate, but I do not feel obliged to speak with someone who feels the need to be insulting, seeing as I did nothing to warrant it. You may or may not be right, I may or may not be wrong, but if you want to discuss it, lets keep it clean.

There's a very simple answer to all of this. You're both wrong because no matter what happens in this election, we're getting a horrible president who will bring America down and flee to some obscure European country before he has a chance to take the blame.

You can always simply respond to the points that he raised. Honestly, I didn't find his post rude, but that may just be me. The email you quoted was not rude, but it was obviously sent as propaganda with very little truth to it. You believed it and you spread it even more. There really isn't any "may or may not" be "right or wrong" when the email you quoted is wrong by saying "Page ### says this" and you can actually look at the page and see that it doesn't say that.

I apologize if you felt insulted by my response. My intention was not to insult you. If there was anybody who I would insult right now, it would be the person who originally wrote this email. I've seen things like this so many times before that I've become sick of it and it just irks me that some people can believe some things without really reading things first and getting the facts straight so if I see any misleading information, I try to get it out of the way so a real debate and civilized discussion can take place.

    Well aren't you optimistic?

Who? I'm sorry, I don't politically support anyone. Obama is a cool guy, but he's still a bad president. Romney seems like a dick. Ron Jeremy is a politician like the rest of them, so that makes him a lost cause. Hedgies are cute, but they lack the cognitive ability to lead a nation. Actually, that probably makes them the best choice. Edgar for president!

Ok. I'm sorry. The trouble with typing is that it's easy to misconstrue what is said. I agree with you about getting facts straight, but I honestly don't have the time to trawl through the Bill, because my schooling is really starting to pick up. However, I've heard things from reliable sources about the age cut off for care. This email tallies with what I've heard. We can agree to differ, you have the right to your opinion, but I reserve the right to try and change your mind. :)

Dude, voting is an amazing right. Even if you have to vote for a person you don't like, even if you're only choosing the lesser of two evils, you should. You're doing no one any good by not voting, and your candidate may surprise you. I can't vote this election, and it's driving me spare, so count your blessings!

Out of curiosity, did anyone here actually watch the RNC?

Well in this election, I won't be doing any good by voting anyway. My plan is skip over voting for people and focus on the issues that are on the ballot. That way I can avoid being part of what will definitely contribute to our problems while contributing to what will probably help fix our problems.

Sounds like the Democratic party except with Republicans instead of Democrats.
