Pandgea, a world whole, undivided by the powers of darkness. Even in the peaceful world darkness gripped the hearts of many but it's power was yet to be discovered, it was as innocent as light in the eyes of the people around, nothing to come of it. The world was at a peaceful and prosperous time but with the prosperity came greed. This greed built in the hearts of many but no one knew how much it would effect them, not just yet. The world was about to change, not for the better and with it the dawn of a new era.

The young teenage girl bundled herself up as she got ready to go home. With a quick scan of the area to make sure none of the clingy guys that went to her school where around, she started off back home. Hopefully no one would follow or try to talk to her so she couldn't have to deal with her brother when she got home. The trip home wasn't a long one for Dawn, especially when she walked at a brisk pace.

Arriving at her house she didn't even have time to put down her bag before a wooden sword was tossed at her. Dropping all her books instantly Dawn caught the sword and glared at her brother. Of course he wanted to spar, he wasn't one for taking a break when it came to training and he never let her take a break either.
"Fine whatever lets get this over with." Dawn sighed opening the back gate to go into their backyard/training area. It was pretty much always was like this. Dmitri trained Dawn daily to protect herself, and trained by himself even more to protect her. She didn't quite understand why he was so protective of her. Anytime a guy even talked to her in his presence they where either chased away or challenged to a duel to prove their strength to him.

Dmitri Asphal paced his front lawn impatiently. His sister Dawn was supposed to be home five minutes ago at least, where was she? He didn't want to think what could happen. Wood creaked in his hand as he gripped the two wooden swords tighter. His other hand slowly moved back to the sword by his side gripping the handle ready to search for his sister, she knew better than to be late, something could have happened.

Before Dmitri got a chance to go anywhere he saw his sister coming up the road. The grip on the handles loosened and Dmitri lowered his hand from his sword. The moment Dawn was on their property he tossed her sword at her.
"You're late, come on lets go, training begins now." Dmitri turned his back and walked towards the backyard leaving the gate open for Dawn. "You haven't been letting guys get to close to you have you? You know the rules."

"I know Dmitri, class ran late. I kept my distance as always." Dawn sighed in reply.

Dmitri's eyes studied her close then he seemed to relax slightly as he got into his fighting position waiting for his sister to do the same. "You start." Dmitri told his sister getting ready for their spar.

Sweeping through the streets the young maiden was on her way back to her house. She wore a long white sweeping dress that looked particularly stunning on this late spring day. She looked rather innocent so no one questioned the information she was asking for but her intents where not so innocent. She needed that information for plans that she had later that night. At this point she just had to wait until the cover of night. Paige placed her hand on the door of her small house but instead of going in she turned around, it was a nice day out and she didn't need to be anywhere until later, so why spend the day indoors. Lowering her hand she turned around to go for a walk. Her job was a dangerous one where she relied on the shadows, but when she wasn't doing her job there was no reason to hide away. No one knew that her pretty face was what was behind the assassinations, and no one would know, she was one of the best after all.

Sleeping, there was a single boy who was lying on the grass in some sort of park type area. The wind had created a slight breeze that made the fields of green sway, alongside the boy's hair. As the sun shown brightly on him, he seemed to be completely relaxed. Not a care in the world. Eyes closed, he just lied there, sleeping in the middle of the day. The boy continued to lie there, only for his face to wrinkle slightly as a drop of water hit it. He quickly went back to his relaxed state, only to be irritated by another few drops of water colliding with his face. While he seemed to be able to become relaxed once more, it took longer this time. After returning to his relaxed sleeping state, he lied there for a few more moments, the scene returning to normal. Then, with a sudden jolt, he awoke as a large bubble of water seemed to come out of nowhere and break against his face. With an annoyed expression on his now wet face, he simply said, "she is so dead."

There she was, the girl with a cheery smile on her face that had absolutely no ill intentions behind it. She was sitting there, probably for about a few minutes befoe needing someone to play with. And thus, she flung water at the sleeping boy's face. As he stood up he shouted, "Lapis!" The girl, Lapis, watched as he turned around, looking every which direction for her, until he finally saw her. With a sour expression on his face, he marched over to her and glared at her. "What. The hell. Are you doing?"

With an innocent expression on her face, Lapis looked upward and away as she said, "well, I was bored because there wasn't anything to do. Sooooo," she started to make droplets of water in her hand and seemed to be juggling them, only to flick them at the boy's face saying, "so I woke you up!"

Wiping off his face, his annoyed expression perpetuated as he glared at her. "Ya know, when most people want to wake someone else up from their sleep they, oh I don't know, don't throw giant orbs of water at people. Besides," he looked over to where he was sleeping then back to Lapis, "usually when people are kind of just peacefully sleeping they don't want to be woken up."

With a look of fake concern on her face she said, "oh no Orby, ending it all here is not the way."

With a blank expression on his face he said, "I hate you." After stretching himself out and calming down a bit, he looked back to Lapis. "So, we doing the usual again then?" With an ecstatic grin and nod from Lapis, he sighed and then said, "I don't really know how you're going to learn from just watching, but whatever." With that, he started to make the wind stir around him, only for Lapis to clap and cheer him along with his use of magic.

Dain was bored. Very bored. He was at his friend India's workshop, and he was simply laying on India's couch, and waiting. What he was waiting for was simple. Dain was waiting for India to finish either his research, his studies, or reading his dirty novel. He really didn't know which it was, because he didn't care all too much about his friend's research. A low rumbling sound came from Dain's stomach now, indicating that he was hungry. He had raided India's fridge about three times now, and yet no food magically appeared there. Dain could create wind from nowhere, India could use lightning, and people around the world could use magic of other elements, yet nobody had figured out how to simply magic food into existence. Dain couldn't help but wonder how long it would take before India came up with it. Damn, he hoped it was soon.

Rolling over onto his side, the boy stretched out his legs and decided to finally do something in an attempt to get a reaction from India. "India, draw me like one of your french girls" in a very sarcastic manner. After a second of staying in that pose, he gave up. Getting an angry or annoyed reaction from India was impossible, the guy was just too mentally sound. His stomach rumbled again. "Seriously, how long are you going to spend reading? Just look out the window at how lovely of a day it is. Bright, sunny, people are bound to be out there. Which means we can beat someone up, take their munny, and get something half decent to eat. Hell, maybe we'll get to send someone home with a broken bone or two. Can only hope, right?" Dain asked, getting impatient.

Alastor Nex was someone who, like India, had his nose stuck in a book. He was at his home, alone, and trying to at last make some progress. Hundreds of notes lay scattered about his desk, each on a different spell that had different elemental properties about it. The man had spent half his lifetime trying to discover the secrets of magic, the reason they could create it, and what other spells they had yet to discover. He had made great progress over time, but he was in a bit of a rut at that time. He had hoped simply going over his notes would provide some insight, but apparently not. Perhaps he had a book that would help. He had read each of them dozens of times, but perhaps it was the spark he needed to get the gears going.

Standing up, Alastor turned around to look at the huge bookshelf behind him. Reaching to the top left, he grabbed a book from the shelf. The furnace within: The secret of fire magic was its title. Flicking through a few pages, yet nothing got his mind really moving. Placing the book back in the shelf, he grabbed the one next to it. The shocking truth of thunder magic was the name of this book. Again, flicked through a few pages, and again no results. He put it back in its place with a huge sigh. Well, there was always the other option, wasn't there?

Stepping away from his bookshelf, the man reached towards the wall and grabbed his blade, which was neatly hung up there. Looking at it for a moment, a small smile came across his face. Nothing got the mind moving like a good test of his own abilities. Maybe they'd actually be a challenge, maybe they would force some new spell from him that he had yet to discover. He severely doubted that, although the light thump of a body hitting the floor was something that really got his creative juices, for some reason. Walking over to the door to his home, he gripped the handle and opened the door. The blinding light poured through the open doorway, and Alastor had to shy away from it instinctively. He hated how bright and cheerful everything was. Both figuratively, and literally. Hope, happiness, it was all things that distracted the mind from its true purpose: adaptation and evolution. Stepping outside, he carried his blade close. He would take away that happiness from one person before the day was done, of that he was sure.

In a fairly secluded area the sounds of metal hitting metal could be heard. The source of the noise was coming from a practice match between Valken and Sirin. It was part of the usual routine that they had started doing as of recently. Under normal circumstance a once revered warrior such as Sirin would likely not be training with someone such as Valken. Despite this he managed to convince her though a series of begging and taunting. Like the saying goes, "The end justifies the means". A few more minutes has passed before they had stopped in order to take a break, which prompted Valken to fall on his butt in exhaustion. "For once can you take it easy?" He asked between breaths.

"Oh come now, you can't be tired already?" Sirin replied. While she had the advantage of years of specialized training and combat experience, she definitely wasn't going to let him use that as an excuse. "You can fight with two swords at the same time and you can't match someone who only uses a lance, what a shame."

Valken sighed as he got back on his feet. "First off, half the people I faced aren't as skilled as you. Second, considering how little you wear its not all that shocking that you have less of a burden to carry. Then again" His eyes drifted towards her chest. "You do have quite the burden on your chest." Now Valken wasn't a perverted man, but he make a comment along those lines every now and then. That comment in particular had not only granted him a annoyed look from Sirin, but she along threw her lance at him which just barely missed his head. It was her way of saying that she was ready to resume the match whether he was ready or not.

Elsewhere yet another person currently had his attention focused on a book. That person name was Xross and despite only having one functioning eye, it didn't seem to hinder him in anyway at all. At a distance it would look like he was ready a book on top the roof of his house without a care in the world, but in reality not only did he have some cares for the world, but some of his more favorables ones were recorded in the book within his grasps. Xross has spent a good while flipping and scanning the pages for anything that was of interest, but with a unsatisfied sigh, he closed the book.

Nothing but old, outdated or uninteresting information. It would seem that he would have to find some new things to record, which also meant that he would have to interact with people and that was something that he always tried to avoid if he could. Mentally he was partially torn between these two options. Ah why couldn't things be simple...simple to him anyway. The mental debate was getting him nowhere so it was soon put to an end, just in time for the sounds of people sparing. Dmitri and Dawn to be exact. How did he know their names? Where he house was compared to their along with the fact that he generally hung out on the roof allowed him to overhear them while they were sparing.

With Xross living in a some what rural area, it wasn't all that hard for him to identify the source due to how often it has occurred so it wasn't long after his realization that got on his feet and started to turn away. At first he was planning on heading back inside when an idea dawned on him. He needed something to observe and there was a perfect test subject nearby. The issue of interacting with people wouldn't be that big of a deal in this instance for if his idea worked, then there would be less talking and more action. This was going to be a fruitful endeavor that was for certain. He held up his hand with the aid of his space magic, he formed a portal take would quickly take him to the ground. Once his feet were on the ground, he briefly dusted off his jacket. If he was going to pay his neighbors a visit, then he would have to look his best.

Today would be like any other day for Jian. Or at least that was how it seemed when he had his skull smashed into a concrete wall. He had walked into someone's territory again, god forbid there be any territory claims at all, and he was told to leave. He had kept on walking and that resulted in this squabble.

There was a crowd surrounding them, enjoying how this fight was going. Jian wasn't losing or anything, his opponent had gotten lucky getting a hold of his head. He blamed his hair mostly for that problem. Jian and his opponent were fighting hand-to-hand rather than with weapons, and Jian was certain if he pulled out his scythe and fought he'd win in a heartbeat.

Jian grabbed a hold of the opponent and spun him around so the opponent was against the wall. Still a bit winded, he delivered an uppercut with seemed to hurt Jian's fist more than the opponent. He then quickly grabbed hold of his neck, and the opponent did likewise. Both found themselves strangling each other, and waiting for the other to loosen their grip.

Jian was the one losing now.

He gasped for air and found himself losing feeling in his arms and they dangled to his sides. The opponent grinned and spoke, "This'll teach you to mess with m-"

    "HEY!"

Wattana found herself walking to the middle of the circle, her axe was in her hand and her face clearly showed she meant business. She looked at the opponent of Jian's and smiled at him, "Let him go before I count to three."

The opponent laughed as he continued his business, "And what is a little girl like you going to do to m-"
    "One."
The opponent strangled Jian harder causing him to no longer be able to make noise. His air was fully cut off. The opponent kept his attention towards Jian without focusing on Wattana in the slightest.
    "Two."
A couple of members of the crowd whispered amongst themselves while staring at Wattana. The opponent began to raise Jian higher in the air was was prepared to either snap his neck or slam him on the ground.
    "Three."

Wattana turned around and began to run away. The crowd watched in disappointment and the opponent snickered,
"Such a nuisance... counting down and running off when we expe-"

An axe went flying at the opponent cutting their arm. They let go of Jian and clutched their arm in pain. The axe went flying back to Wattana, and she caught it and ran at the opponent. She jumped up to slash at them, but they dodged and ran for it. Wattana threw the axe towards their feet, which made contact, causing the opponent to fall. Wattana waited for the axe to return to her before she ran at the opponent and grabbed their hair and pulled their face up and in her direction,
"Now, I counted down, and you didn't believe I could do anything. It would be a shame if anyone in whatever group you worked for found out you had your ass kicked by a little girl wouldn't it?"

Wattana waited for a response before she forced them to nod. She smiled sweetly and continued,
"Great. So why don't you run along now and do something better with your time?" and she smashed their face into the concrete before turning around and walking back to Jian. She grabbed his arm and pulled him up scolding him, "Don't get yourself into fights you can't hold yourself out in. Jeez."
"Hey I tired him out for you, if it wasn't for-"
"Yeah sure whatever makes you function. Now shut up while I try to get you somewhere a tad bit safe, k'kid?"
    "Whatever..."

    - RENNA -

Renna had floated into the room where Dain and India were. She was practicing her gravity magic again and had quite a few books and other things floating around her. As Dain began to bug India she gave him a small frown and began to float above him, turning her body upside town to look at him from the front, "Would you quit bugging him? He'll be done when he's done." Renna then turned back upright and sat in midair by Dain, "Besides, you're the one who ate all the food, so why don't you go grocery shopping yourself...?" She nagged as she suddenly plopped onto the ground with a thud, "Ow!"

Her magic had run out and Renna frowned, "I need to find a way to make my magic last longer..." She said, rubbing her butt from the sudden drop to the hard floor. When she stood up she looked over to India and hovered over his shoulder trying to see what he was doing, "So, what are you doing?"

Samantha Pleygian was inside her home with her older sister. They'd decided to sit down for an afternoon snack; sandwiches that Alexandra had made them. Grabbing the plate off the counter, the nine year old girl carried it over to the table and placed it on top of it. Her eyes shifted now to the chair that had been neatly tucked underneath the table. This was going to be a challenge for her, and Samantha really didn't like challenges. She gripped the side of the chair with her right hand, her left hand already occupied by holding onto her stuffed bear, aptly named Mr. Bear. She began to pull on the chair, moving it bit by bit, but it was going on a weird angle and not straight out. Letting out a sigh, Samantha prepared to grab onto the other chair leg and pull, but before she got the chance to a slender hand reached over and pulled the chair out for her.

The hand belonged to her older sister, Alexandra Pleygian. The older girl had stood up from her chair, stepped over to Samantha's, and quickly pulled it out for her. She looked down at her younger sister, so helpless but determined to do everything herself. Or at least, everyone except for her saw it as by herself; Samantha herself seeing it as her and her stuffed bear working together, as best friends did. Alexandra wanted to simply pick her up and place her in the seat, but her sister had stopped wanting that at a very early age. Alexandra adored her sister, and loved her dearly, but at times it seemed as though Samantha didn't share that close bond with anyone except Mr Bear, and that bothered Alexandra a lot.

Giving a warm smile to Samantha, Alexandra decided to speak. "Sammy, if you put down Mr. Bear for a couple of seconds it'll be a lot easier for you. He might even help you pull out the chair all by himself, wouldn't that be interesting to see?" she asked, trying to sound as nice and friendly as possible.

Samantha, or Sammy as her sister called her, rolled her eyes a little and clambered onto the chair her sister had pulled out. Samantha was naturally a very sad little girl, and didn't experience much joy, and the reminder that she couldn't do everything on her own only made it seem worse to her. Once she had sat on the chair successfully, she put Mr. Bear on her lap carefully. "If I put Mr. Bear on the ground on his own, Alexandra, he'll get scared, and he won't be able to get up here. So he stays with me. He helps me do everything, he's my bestest friend" the little girl said, as though she was reassuring herself of the friendship between her and her bear.

Alexandra frowned a little. There she went again, placing her bear on a higher pedestal than anything else in the world. It shouldn't have bothered Alexandra so much, but she could hardly help it. She wanted to be close to her sister, especially now that her parents were gone. Taking a bite of the sandwich in front of her, Alexandra decided to make one more attempt before calling it quits for the moment. "I really wish you wouldn't call me that"
    "Call you what?"
    "Alexandra"
    "But it's your name"
"I'd rather you just called me Alex, or have you forgotten?"
"No, I'm just calling you what Mr. Bear calls you"

Alex gave up. There was just no reasoning with a nine year old, especially one that was as stubborn as her sister. "You wanna go outside and play?" she questioned the child. A shake of the head was the answer she received from her sister. She wasn't done just yet though, there was no way Sammy was going to best her twice in a row. "Oh okay then. I guess Mr. Bear didn't want to go for a walk then? I remember he used to like those" she said, a sly smile at the corner of her mouth. Bringing Mr. Bear into the mix was something she didn't like very much, but it was a surefire way to get Samantha to agree to something usually.

Samantha ignored her sandwich, picked up Mr. Bear, and walked over to the door. "Okay fine, Alexandra. Let's go take Mr. Bear for a walk. But we get ice cream when we get home, or else Mr. Bear is going to feel unloved" she huffed.

The older sister walked over to the door, opened it, and then held out her hand for Samantha to take. After a brief moment of hesitation, Samantha took it, but the look on her face made it very clear she hadn't wanted to. Still, it was a step in the right direction. The two sisters set off.

With the hustle and bustle of the town, that probably had a name but who actually knew what it was, there were people of all kinds in there. There were those that would simply go to school and live out there days like ordinary people. There were those who shirked all responsibility and lazed about. There were even those who just raided the pantries and other storage areas of their friends and other associates, stealing all the food that they could. Then there were the people who were actually mattered. The ones who wanted to try and prove themselves, to make themselves worth something in this world of theirs. Sombra was one such person. A person who was going to become one of the strongest there was in this god forsaken world. And then...well who knew what would come after that. And so, she was ever vigilant, on the lookout for anyone she would deem to be strong enough to challenge.

As she roamed through town, her eyes swiftly went to look at a girl in a long flowing white dress. She briefly felt the urge to challenge her, but dismissed that seeing as the woman seemed harmless enough. No, instead she knew just who her opponent for today was going to be. Gripping onto the practice weapon that she toted around, she knew just where her opponent was. Hanging outside, drinking some caffeinated beverage at a table outside the local overpriced coffee shop, she pointed her weapon at the man.
"Azra! Man of the Light!" Her voice was loud and her declaration was to be clear. "I challenge you to a duel of warriors! How shall you respond?" The best ways to start a conversation was one thing that was not found in this town.

India sat in a chair, very into his work. A lamp shed a dim yellow light over his desk so he could see what he was doing. He didn't even begin to turn around as Dain said to 'draw him like one of his french girls'. He knew the man well enough to know he was only trying to get a reaction out of him. Then he suggested they go out and mug people for their money so that they might be able to buy something that could pass for edible. Not want to leave his project nearly finished and just walk away, he opened the drawer of his desk and pulled out a sandwich wrapped in foil which he had been saving for his lunch and tossed it over his shoulder to Dain.

"That ought to tide you over for the moment. Besides, I'm nearly finished. Then I'll accompany you on all the pillaging you like. Not that it'd stop you if i stayed here." He commented, picking up a screwdriver and tinkering with something while looking back and forth between it and the book he'd been reading on the concept of the device. The device itself was an established concept, but he was making adjustments to it to suit his own individualized style of it. That was when a more feminine voice rang through the air. It began nagging Dain to fix the food problem himself, as he had been the one to eat all of it. It was more or less true. India didn't eat much. Mostly just what was required to survive. If Dain hadn't been visiting his home so often, he either would've had a lower base food supply due to not buying more, or the food he did have would've gone bad from him not eating it.

Not turning around to see the source of the small thud, he began tightening in the last screw. The girl named Renna leaned over his shoulder and asked what he was doing. "Well, i'll show you in just a moment...There we are." He said, finishing tightening it in. He set down the screwdriver and picked up what appeared to be a small disk about the size of his palm. Pressing the center of it with his thumb, three blades sharply sprung out, curving around it in a circular motion. "If you're unfamiliar with this design of weapon, it's called a Glaive. It's generally a thrown weapon, akin to a bladed boomerang. However, i've made a few adjustments to this particular model of it." Summoning up some of his magical energy, blue sparks of electricity emitted from his fingers, tracing along the blade and arcing outward in many directions shortly before being drawn into the blades, giving them a dim glow of the same hue. Small sparks appeared on the blade occasionally and ran to the edge before fading one more. "You see, i designed this to work especially well with electricity based magic. It draws in the energy from it, serving multiple purposes. First, by manipulating the flow of the current, i can theoretically manipulate the path it takes in mid flight. The severity of the path change has yet to be tested though. Second, it can conduct my magic, and act as a catalyst from a distance to increase the range of a bolt of lightning, even causing it to disperse into a small area of effect around it if i desire. And lastly, i could absorb the energy it's taken in to act as a reserve mana supply. I'd suggest this to remedy your...Predicament, but i'm afraid with any element aside from thunder it wouldn't work overly well."

Finishing his explanation as to how the weapon worked, he turned his chair around to face the girl who had inquired about his work. "Now then, i believe it's my turn to ask you a question. How do you know where i live?" He asked calmly. He had seen the girl before around the town and knew her name, even spoken to her on occasion, but he wasn't overly acquainted with her. Certainly not enough to invite her into his workshop. He was just collected enough to not get upset over a to an extent unfamiliar person entering his domain. On the off chance she was hostile, he felt he could handle himself. and if not, Dain was right there. He was the muscle of the two. He'd never let him take a beating before, and he didn't imagine that he'd start now. He quickly glanced her person up and down to see if she had any weapons on her. She wore a dagger on her belt, but that wasn't uncommon to carry for self defense. For the most part, the world was a safe place, but one could never be too careful. He looked her in the eye with an unreadable expression, awaiting her response.

Sitting at the table outside of the local ungodly overpriced coffee shop, Azra sipped his drink. It was quiet. Well, until someone approach him anyway. They were a loud and boisterous woman, immediately challenging him to a duel. A small smirk appeared on his face as he put down his drink and took up his sword. The sheath was still on, held onto it by a mechanism, undone by a small switch near the handle. "I accept your challenge, Maiden of the blade!" He said, standing from his seat. He had never been one to turn down a friendly challenge, and he saw no reason to deny her the right to a test of skill between them. "I give you the honor of the first strike."

    - RENNA -

Renna looked at the glaive with a rather curious expression, which soon lead to be quite impressed. She listened to the explanation of the device and got a bit confused but simply nodded as he went on. "That sounds useful."Renna said. As India turned his chair to look at her and ask her his question, she only gave him an irritated huff and put her hands on her hips, "You're the one who told me to come here, remember?"

Renna began to dig through her bag and pull out a broken device and showed him, "I asked you if you would be able to fix something of mine and I guess you weren't paying attention cause you had your face buried in a book... But you told me to come here and bring you what I needed to be fixed. So here I am. I've been waiting here for the past hour and a half while you were fiddling with that thing and watching your friend raid the fridge."

Renna stood there with her arms crossed, giving the young man an irritated look. She then sighed and handed India the device, "It's a gravity magic enhancer... But it kind of broke whenever I first tried using it." She pouted a bit as she looked at and felt a bit embarrassed to admit that he had broken it. Renna then looked back up at India and pulled out a small pouch with Munny in it and held it in front of him, "So are you gonna fix it or not?"

Immediately after the stalker finished her response to India, Dain strode over there at a casual pace. "Firstly...India, that weapon looks like it'd cut people open really quickly, and you're going to have to make me one of those things. Less magical though, that stuff fries my brain faster than you can pick apart peoples' minds" Dain started. He then turned to look at Renna. "Secondly, he never invited you over. The only thing broken around here is your sense of time! Little liar, you got here not even five minutes ago, floating in with an excuse made up that'd let you get into India's pa- India's house" he said, quickly correcting himself.

He took a step closer, standing next to Renna now. For a brief moment he considered shaking her around checking for weapons, she was certainly short enough to do so. Then he had a much better idea. The best opponent to fight, armed or not, was a distracted one. Attack their weak point and get them to lose focus. It was also kinda fun, so there was that too. "India, she looks harmless enough. Only weapon she's got is a small toothpick and a huge lady boner, neither of which I think she knows how to use" Dain said, a smug smirk appearing on his face as he said so.

    - RENNA -

Renna just stared at Dain and then clenched her fists as he accused her of lying. "At least I'm not the idiot going around making false accusations! How dare you accuse me of coming here for nothing!" Renna's blood began to boil and she was getting quite fed up. It was true that she came here after India had told her where to go to get him to fix her gravity magic enhancer; and she certainly hated being falsely accused for something such as lying. "India, she looks harmless enough. Only weapon she's got is a small toothpick and a huge lady boner, neither of which I think she knows how to use."

    Oh, that did it.

The moment Dain said that, Renna gave him a glare, "Is that supposed to be an insult you pathetic oaf?" She took a step forward and as she did, she swung her leg upward and kicked Dain in his lower areas where she knew it would hurt.

India raised an eyebrow as she pulled out the device, telling him that he had instructed her to come there. He didn't recall doing that. There was a possibility he had simply forgotten about it, however unlikely it may be. He decided not to pursue to subject and simply let it drop. He took the device and glanced over it, and immediately he knew what was wrong with it. "Well, you're lucky you came to me. I shouldn't be long." Placing it on the desk, he picked up his screwdriver and readied it. With his other hand, he summoned up bolts of blue electricity as though he were about to perform an incredibly delicate procedure on the device. He made a concentrated face for a moment and finally fixed the device. He put his finger on the switch, turned it off, then turning it back on. Immediately the device powered up. Placing the screwdriver over it, the simple tool began to float with the anti-gravity device.

"I believe that should fix your problems. If you have any further trouble with the device, let me know and i'll fix it free of charge. I guarantee quality with my work.
" He said in a somewhat sarcastic tone. He handed her back the device with a smug look on his face. That was when Dain began talking about how she looked harmless, only being armed with a tooth pick and 'lady boner'. Well, that was one way of putting it. He was decent as reading people, so it wasn't exactly difficult to tell that she had some attraction to him. However, he didn't say anything in response to it. He'd leave that up to them. Dain seemed to be having fun teasing her. He stood, grabbed the munny pouch, and walked to the door. "Dain, you wanted to get something to eat when we got some munny correct? Well, we've got it. Renna, you're welcome to come along if you like." He invited her for two reasons. First, her destroyed ego would need some tending to. Second, the first reason was made pointless by the fact he was somewhat enjoying the banter between Dain and Renna, which would result in her ego being further ruined.

As Azra stepped out of his chair, he seemed ready and willing to accept the duel of honor between the two. "Very well then!" She was now given the first move and had readied her practice blade to strike at once. As she prepped herself, the townsfolk seemed to be, not so much confused as intrigued, at the spectacle that was about to happen. It was more or less commonplace for fights to break out between people in this town. And so Sombra paid no mind to the crowd, as they would merely be the audience for this performance of theirs, and nothing more. With both hands on the wooden blade, Sombra quickly took off from where she was and brought the blade down on her opponent. After the attack went through, she pulled back her blade back and then went in to strike at him once more from the side.

Dawn held her wooden sword out in front of her ready to fight, well sort of ready. She really didn't want to fight her brother today, she didn't want to train, all she wanted to do was relax after an abnormally long seeming day at school. Even so she knew her brother would not comply and instead force her to train. Dawn knew this fact and eventually accepted it. With those thoughts out of the way she prepared herself to actually fight. "Dmitri lets just get this over quick, okay? I have homework to do" With that Dawn lunged forward to do a multi hit quick attack. Fast and accurate was her style of fighting in comparison to her brother who was slow but a lot more calculated, planning out every attack and predicting what his opponent will use in order to counter them. Soon the duel would begin. As soon as it did, Dawn was tight in it gaining her fighting spirit back full force, letting go of the stresses of school.

Dawn was noticeably faster when it came to attacking and dodging the attacks of her brother, but Dmitri was more skilled. Time and time again Dawn would try to jab at her brother only to be met with him blocking. He wouldn't even try to move out of her way nor did he attack back, he was toying with her.
"Dmitri it isn't much of a fight when the other person isn't fighting only blocking. Come on, at least try."

Dmitri smirked. "Just remember, you asked for it." He warned. His stance changed, Dmitri moved his feet closer together and brought his wooden sword down beside him instead of in front of him. One could see in his eyes that he was becoming a lot more focused. "I won't hold back just because you are my sister." He informed her. Despite being ready to attack he didn't make the first move, he waited for Dawn to run towards him one again ready to jab him. From the position he was in most would think that he wasn't ready to defend, but that wasn't true, Dmitri had a trick or two up his sleeves. Knowing his sisters speed and tactics from many friendly duels with her, he planned out his moves. He waited till right before she would strike and disarm her. As she got closer he began to raise his arm but hesitated a slight but didn't move till her sword was inches away from his chest. He swiftly brought his arm up hitting her sword up and back with his own before. He then continued to counter by using the butt end of his sword to hit his sister in the chest.

Dmitri's sudden deflection of Dawns attack made her arm fly up in a weird way causing pain in her should. She was too focused on this pain to realize and stop his counter. Dawn fell to her knees with one arm clenching her stomach. When he said he wouldn't hold back, he wasn't kidding since he put a lot more force into both of the blows then he knew he needed to in order to beat her. Dawns wooden sword lay five feet behind her, and she wasn't really in much of shape to continue fighting. She looked up at her brother standing over her. "Okay I give, you win." She said. You could hear in her voice that she was in a bit of pain. Dawn got up, picked up her sword and began to walk towards the house.

"Where do you think you are going? It isn't over yet. A fight doesn't end till someone delivers a fatal blow; neither of mine where and you couldn't land a hit on me." Dmitri approached Dawn and put the end of his sword to the back of her neck. "You aren't going to let me kill you this easily now are you? You would be shaming the Asphel family name." He removed the sword from the back of her neck and stood prepared to fight once again.

Dawn shook her head. He had got her there. Their family was never one to back down from a fight unless they had been dealt a fatal blow, even in a friendly duel. Dawn was forced to wield her sword in her left hand instead of her right as she prepared to continue the duel. Her reflexes weren't nearly as good with her left hand but she would find a way to fight him till the very end. All she needed was to break his defenses once, all her blows where aimed to be fatal.

Paige continued down the street until something caught her eye. A girl walked straight up to a man at a coffee shot and challenged him to a duel. With the threat of a fight breaking out Paiges fingers curled as she started to reach down but stopped herself. This fight was none of her concern and it was a weird sight to see if someone saw her lift the helm of her dress so she could grab the daggers strapped to her legs. Paige instead just continued to walk away from the scene, it was stupid to fight in public anyways, if you wanted to fight or kill you do it in cover of night somewhere no one would see you and you wouldn't get a reputation, that way you could go about normal life still do what needs to be done. You wouldn't have to deal with people running from you and hating you, that is what Paige loved about her job. She could get what needed to be done done and still go about everyday life seeming completely innocent.

    ~Analise~
Scared and running from her drunk father Analise had run from the outskirts of the town into pretty much the center of it. Around her, so many people went about their every day life, not bothering her, but at the same time just being around her. She didn't like people, they legitimately scared her. Having a panic attack Analise ran into a dark ally where she could be alone and calm down. Hopefully she could stay there until her dad calmed down and no one would find her. She sat down on the ground near the center of the ally, breathing heavily trying to catch her breath from running too far and from her freaking out.

Dain doubled over in pain as Renna's foot collided. He remained doubled over for a good minute, every bit of him just wanting the pain to stop, and then after what seemed like forever it did. He got up slowly, before glaring at Renna. "Even more stupid than I am huh? Can't realise an insult and have to question it?" he taunted. He watched as India walked to the door with the munny pouch. Thinking quickly, Dain used his magic and sent a small gust of wind beneath Renna's feet, causing her to fall backwards onto her backside.

Stepping over to her, he broke into a laugh, before deciding to say something. "Thank you for visiting India Corporation. We accept your fee for his..technological genius, figuring out that which you could not; how to turn a switch from off to on" the boy said, the words feeling very unfamiliar to him. He didn't like speaking in that way, but if it made Renna feel a little worse, then it was all worth it. "India corporation: Destroying egos with love" he said, sarcasm dripping from his words as he turned and walked over next to India. "Food sounds great. Are you sure inviting her is a good idea though? She might not know how to close a door behind her" he said, speaking in such a way it made it seem like he was genuinely worried, when in all honesty it was the complete opposite.

Alastor Nex watched from above as the girl entered the alleyway alone. The scientist had been watching from the rooftop nearby for some time, using his Vanish magic to render himself invisible from all below, ensuring he was not seen. The man was many things, but stupid was not one of them; he knew he wouldn't be able to handle the situation should people come to check what he was up to. He was standing on top of the rooftop, hidden, for good reason. Having done this many times, he knew that the best way to get a reaction from somebody was to make them feel as unsafe as possible, and having it look as though he had simply appeared from nowhere would help plenty in that regard. He could have stayed invisible in the alleyway, but due to him needing to stand still it was very possible the girl would have bumped into him, which would ruin things. He had to do things properly.

Deciding now was the prime time to make his move, Alastor leaped from the rooftop and descended to the ground. Landing on the ground as quietly as he was able, he moved swiftly. Due to him scouting ahead earlier, he knew the layout of the area and was prepared for any attempt at an escape. If she thought that Alastor would be distracted from the landing long enough for her to escape, she was sorely mistaken; Alastor was always on duty, ready to show the girl she should never underestimate the power of the assassin's code.

The second he landed, Alastor decided to make things far scarier for her than he had initially planned. "I wonder how you will react" he said, emotion void in his words. As the girl spun around to see who was there, he used his vanish magic and rolled to the side, before de-activating it. To her, it would look as though he had simply teleported there. "Will you scream?" he asked, once again emotionless. Repeating his vanish trick, he 'appeared' to her left. "Oh I love it when they scream. It brings out the true humanity within" he stated with a cruel chuckle. For the final time, he vanished and appeared just behind her. "It's a shame nobody is around to hear you. You're all alone, just you...and me" the scientific assassin spoke, chuckling once more before revealing his sword in plain sight now, leaving no doubt of his intentions to Analise.

    Thank you Cstar~

Renna stood there with a smug look on her face as Dain toppled over. But then she looked over to India and saw that he had simply switched it on and back off. She just stared at the device as India handed it back to her and felt rather stupid as she took the enhancer and put it on her wrist; looking away with a small blush. Renna perked up as India invited her along to go eat something, "O-oh... Uh, sure." She said. When Dain got up and taunted her once again, Renna said nothing but shot him a glare. She then noticed Dain use a gust of wind and made her fall. Renna let out a groan and then an aggravated growl as she stood back up.

"Are you sure inviting her is a good idea though? She might not know how to close a door behind her" Renna's fists clenched and she gritted her teeth together. She then quickly flung her hand in front of her, the device on her wrist glowing where a blue light was. As she did, she used her gravity magic and the door behind Dain flew open and slammed into his face, "Maybe you just don't know how to open a door!" She said as she walked over to the two, arms crossed with a scowl on her face.

Before Dmitri and Dawn could begin round 2 of their sparring match, they would be interrupted by the sounds of clapping. The clapping only got louder as the man behind it slowly approached the backyard in which they were using as a training grounds. "It must get boring to face the same person time and time again. Especially when said person could grow accustom to your method of fighting and turn the tables." Despite how he generally disliked speaking with other people, he did not have a stuttering problem nor did his mumble his words. Xross spoke in a clear tone that would definitely reach them loud and clear. "It would probably be in your best interest to find a more capable opponent to face." This was directed towards Dawn, knowing that Dmitri would hear and likely act within Xross's predictions.

Dawn gripped her sword tight in her left hand trying to think how she could combat her brother. She was fast sure but she couldn't break through his defenses with her right arm, how was she supposed to wield her sword with her left hand and expect to win the duel? It was not possible to do. The only way she could be able to do it was outsmart him in combat which wasn't particularly her specialty. She was plenty book smart, one of the top in her class but when it came to fighting sense her brother had her beat, then again her brother was also seven years older than her, far more experienced. Dawn focused on calming her breath before going to attack once again.

Before she could make a move clapping echoed through the air slowly getting louder. Dawn lowered her sword and looked at the source. A young man started to approach them, talking to her. He mentioned how it gets boring and how she could turn the tables by learning his moves better, and then how she should find someone better to spar with.
"Oh and I suppose you would be better." She commented before shying away due to the glare that Dmitri was giving her. Dawn took a few steps back and shifted uncomfortably as she waited for her brothers reaction, she knew it wouldn't be pleasant.

After giving Dawn a look to tell her to back down and not speak Dmitri took charge as he walked closer to the man who stood on their property. Dmitri's hand slowly lowered to his real sword which was strapped to his belt, but he had yet to pull it. "Get off my property. You have no right to be here and no right to be talking to her." Dmitri indicated to his sister who shifted her weight uncomfortably. "I will tell you this once. Leave, before I make you leave. Don't talk to me and especially don't talk to her. Our training is none of your business got it?" Dmitri scowled at the man. He didn't scare him nor did Dmitri see him as a threat at all. The only thing that Dmitri saw when looking at the mans face was an annoyance. He had training to get back to.

Dmitri already completely wrote off the man as anyone worth even talking to his sister but even so he enjoyed a challenge, so he figured he would propose the same deal he did to any poor young ******* that came to his door looking for Dawn.
"Beat me in a duel and perhaps I will let you talk to her, or run. Choice is yours, either way the results will be the same and you won't be stepping foot on my property ever again." Dmitri was over confident when it came to fighting and he wasn't afraid to show it.

As Paige continued to walk she came to a more quiet part of town. It wasn't long before she passed a young man with his face smashed into the ground, curious she continued walking to see what the cause might have been, who had done it. Not far from the spot she heard voices. Paige didn't approach right away but instead hid around a corner and listened for a moment.

"Don't get yourself into fights you can't hold yourself out in. Jeez."

"Hey I tired him out for you, if it wasn't for-"
"Yeah sure whatever makes you function. Now shut up while I try to get you somewhere a tad bit safe, k'kid?"
    "Whatever..."

It seemed the boy on the ground had what was coming to him. Walking around the corner to put a face to the people who where speaking she saw both seemed rather young. "Aren't you two a little young to be getting in fights like that? You could have killed someone and trust me, you don't want to live with that guilt." She warned the two of them. "If they started the fight then maybe you should stick around safer areas of town, keep yourselves out of trouble." Paige couldn't help but think of the guilt she had felt since she had first killed and didn't want anyone else to have to feel that. She would take the burden alone if that is what it took in order to make the world a better place, free from the corrupt. She was an assassin, she lived to kill, that didn't make it easy though. "Trust me, you don't want to get into too many fights, it might just ruin your life. Now then, you think you can make it back to the safer part of town without getting into any more fights or will I have to escort you." Paige realized she probably didn't seem too threatening to these kids nor did she have any power over them, but it was worth a try.

    ~Analise~
Analise had curled herself into a ball on the ground trying to comfort herself, trying to find some sort of security, and it worked slightly, she was alone and it was quiet. No one was around, she could relax slightly, or that was what she though until someone landed by her. Analise stood up and turned around to face the man who was talking, but as soon as he finished talking he seemed to teleport somewhere else before speaking once again. The tone and the words he was saying where something worth fearing because just the fact he was there didn't scare Analise enough. All it took was one unfamiliar person and she would panic. The man finally stopped teleporting around her and instead showed her a sword. To her she could only compare it to a giant kitchens knife do to her minimal exposer of the real world, it was very rare that she ever left her house and when she did it was almost never to go into the city but instead to a secluded area away from her father until he calmed down. Even still she knew how much knives hurt and this frightened her even more. "G-g-get away from me.... L-Leave... leave me alone...." She managed to stutter before trying to take off running. Analise only managed to more one stumbling footstep before the man grabbed her arm and gave her a wicked smile. That was the last straw before Analise's poor damage mind snapped. "I said get away!" She screamed out in anger before trying to push the man back and starting to throw punches at him the best she could. She also kicked him in the shins a couple times before aiming one for the crotch and then turning to run once more.

The two had stopped and listened to this woman. Wattana seemed to be doing most of the listening but by her second statement Jian was zoning out. He reached into Wattana's bag and pulled out a potion. Wattana mumbled under her breath, "Come on that is my last one..."

He used it up and when Paige finished talking he stood up on his own without Wattana's help and scratched his head,
"Boy, I didn't expect to be preached at today of all things that could have happened."
"Shh be respectful she's just trying to-"
"I don't care what she's trying to do. She can't tell me how to live my life." Jian waved uncaringly at the two and started to walk away saying, "I'll see you at home."

Wattana watched Jian walk away for a moment and she bowed at Paige apologizing, "I'm sorry, Jian is a little... eh... he just doesn't respect people's advice like he should."

Wattana shrugged at her and continued,
"And as much as your advice is good advice, it's just the way things are around here. And we live here so we tend to slip into that mentality at times." Wattana let out a sigh and mumbled, "Even if I don't like to."

She cracked her knuckles and watched Jian officially disappear from view and she replied,
"I mean go ahead and escort us to a better part of town but I need to be back here in time for dinner."
