Video Game: Kingdom Hearts SOS: The Road To Light

“Yo.” Kel said in response to the surprise arrival of Steel had joined the crew at north side and since he was the last person out of their group that wasn’t here, that was a clear sign that they were almost done here. What further cemented that thought was how there was a solid one heartless left in north side. It had taken quite some time, but they were finally down to one heartless. It was a time of celebration…once that final heartless was dead and gone of course. Since there was only one heartless left, Kel decided to try and regain his keyblade from the wall it was stuck in for the past two posts. Outstretching his hand, he concentrated, visualizing the keyblade in his mind which had caused the keyblade to start to shake within the wall. His keyblade continued to shake within the wall the longer he concentrated on it until finally the keyblade had vanished from the wall and reappeared within Kel’s grasps.

Now that he was re armed with his keyblade, he had no use for the ice that was around his fist. The magic that was keeping the ice around his fist as well as keeping him from getting frostbite had stopped, thus the ice started to vanish. It had effectively dissolved away from his hand, leaving Kel with the ability to clench and unclench his fist to make sure that nothing was wrong with his hand. Just as he suspected, nothing was wrong with his hand. Now it was time to get rid of the last Lance Soldier standing. A quick twirl of his keyblade was made before he was holding it reverse style again. Following that, he positioned his arm, as well as the hand that held the keyblade behind him. To wrap it all up, he flung the keyblade towards the heartless, cutting it two upon impact as the keyblade proceeded to return to him. It had taken long enough, but they were finally finished with his mission.

Kross took this chance to wind down, those excessive attacks were killer on his stamina, but when he was ticked off, he intended to vent it out, bottling up emotions were not that great for him. He heard steps and he turned his head to see Ananta approach him. He straightened himself up and smiled in reply to her words."Don't worry about me."He stated and looked to see any heartless that were left. He turned fully to her and looked her over for a moment to try to spot any injuries."You're not hurt, are you?"He asked her. he had seen that she had healed herself prior to talking with him, but he was still concerned for her healthy. Healing magic was nice for getting one back on their feet but it was up to the person's natural healing rate that really made the difference. He turned from Ananta and eyed the remaining Heartless."Ananta."He said, taking his mages stance with his keyblade pointed behind him."Are you ready?"He asked her.

 

Allies were doing their part in taking down the thief of colors. The young boy named D'daear had found his chance to escape the phantom blot's clutches when Aden and Krowley intervened. Luna was looking pretty good herself at a glance. Everything they had worked so hard for was now riding on their victory here. While the Phantom was busy fending off one of the other party members, D'daear took this moment to take a breather and meditate, attempting to harness that power that had so been aiding him recently. Keeping right foot forward, legs shoulder width apart, he brought the keyblade in front of him, left hand gripping the bottom of the weapons handle tightly while right hand squeezed tight just underneath the guard of the mystical weapon. Eyelids slid over cartoony black speck for eyes as he fell into a state of completely focus. Blackness was all he saw. Ears perked slightly as senses became more aware, making up for the lack of sight. Noise waved over the area instantly, and constantly being emitted from the little to big things going on in the battle. Battle grunts, keyblade sound effects, magic, shouts, shoes scuffling against the floor, the wind that spirited through the area every now and then. Right foot slid a centimeter forward.

Collectively gathering his feelings, arms slowly guided the blade to the left, placing it to left hip while legs bend; forcing hips to unsquare themselves. Body became rigid, not too tensed, and not to soft. Breathing became calm, and steady as weapon lit up with a radiant aura that the Kingdom hearts universe closely related to the power of Light. Eyes opened up slowly when ready in order to lock on to the Phantom Blot. When all party members were of safe distance away from the villain, D'daear brought his right foot back, and swung the keyblade to the horizon. The blade carved a crescent wave of light that flew to the unoccupied enemy, and slammed into it which sent the now grunting Villain flying back a meter.

Luna felt an instant relief as Hikaru cast Cure on her as well as Aero. She stood up and turned toward Hikaru. "Thank You!" With that said, Luna summoned her keyblade and wind began swirling at the tip of her blade. "Let's get some defense going here!" Luna pointed her blade at D'daear and the wind that swirled at the tip of the blade danced their way toward D'daear surrounding his body with a barrier of air. Wind swirled around her blade once more as she pointed her blade toward Aden. "Defense!" The wind gracefully danced their way around Aden and surrounded him in a barrier for safety. She continued to do the same for Cailyn, Rain, and Hikaru. "Oh graceful wind, protect my friends with your divine defense!" The wind heeded to her call and danced their way to Cailyn, Rain, and Hikaru, surrounding all of them with barriers of wind. "That should do it for defense!" I'm out of magic for now!! Hurry and take this weirdo down!"

Phantom Blot: 44/300

 

It was apparent that the magic being used on the phantom blot was successfully causing damage, however, it still didn't show any signs of giving up though it did laugh time to time like any crazed villain would. The puddles of ink that it spewed all over the field made the fight a little bit more complicated since now there are three things to avoid, it's attacks, the ink, and the magic being casted by the others.
Up to now Rain has played it safe by keeping her distance from it and would only go near the blot if no one was in range of her fire spells. Though the moment she noticed that it struck Luna pretty bad to the point that she needed a cure spell was when she decided to step it up a notch.
"Don't think your going to get away with that you creep, Fire!"
She wasn't sure if fire was the most effective element but she kept firing it anyway. Just when waiting on her turn to attack, a blinding explosion of light came into view that weakened the Phantom Bots defense. Rain was too amazed at what D'daear had done to even notice that the Phantom had Been hit. Either way it was back up again on its attacks. Rain shot fire once more when she saw someone had used blizzard on its feet. When preparing to make another move, a gust of wind started to swirl all around her which boosted up her defense.
"Ah cool, I always forget about wind magic . . Thanks Luna!" Giving her a smile and turning her attention back to the Phantom Blot. Rain started to circle around it and as soon as she saw an opening, she casted blizzard.

Raisor heaved a deep breath now that they were finally done with the heartless. He knew it was partially his fault for going a little coo-coo for cocoa-puffs, but it was done. He figured they could get a minute's breather but unfortunately no such luck existed. Goofy and Pluto showed up and seemed to enact some kind of skit. He couldn't tell if Goofy was a genius, or just a plain old doofus. Then again, sometimes they coincided without anyone knowing. Though the bit about the Beagle Boys working for Pete and him wanting to take over the crown made Raisor roll his eyes a bit and almost made him shout "I COULD HAVE TOLD YOU THAT!". He was glad he didn't though, because it would probably have been one of the most embarrassing moments he would ever have had, and that's say a lot, since he's only done a few embarrassing things, each one more than the last.
"Well, if Mickey's in trouble, let's go save him first before worrying about the Beagle Boys or Pete. We can deal with them after we know Mickey's safe." He waited for the others to respond.

 

OKay, so Kel wasn't sure just how did Pluto find out all of those of those thing that Goofy had translated. It sure was a good thing that Goofy was a dog, thought somehow he got the feeling that that wouldn't have made any difference at all. So they now knew that Mickey was in trouble and, much like Raisor had said, they could deal with any Mickey was saved from his predicament. "Come one then, we don't have time to waste." Kel declared, going on ahead of the others.

Raisor nodded his head at Kel's response, and decided to walk away from the group so he could get started on looking for Mickey. After the first few steps he pointed his finger up as a thought crossed his head.
"By the way, where exactly is Mickey being held? We're not going to be able to rescue him if we don't know where he is." Raisor turned around and looked toward the group, mainly wishing that the dog Pluto understood what he said.
If that dog knew what was going on, maybe it was smart enough to start running in the direction they needed to go instead of them having to stand around twiddling their thumbs. One of the worst possible things to happen when you're in a hurry is when you don't know where to go, and you can lose precious time with that. Hopefully if they were lucky Mickey was trapped in a dungeon that had a single hallway with one door. Wishful thinking wasn't going to help anyone, but it made him feel a little better or the minute.

 

"Well Pluto knows, but I don't speak dog." Kel said in response to Raisor.

"BARK BARK BARK BARK BARK!"

Yeah, no idea what Pluto said, but he could guess that it was something along the "I'll lead the way." How did he guess this? Cause Pluto proceeded to run ahead of them. Man dogs really did seemed to be reliable. First Goofy in Camelot now Pluto here. Take that you mangy cats. That odd thign aside, Kel followed behind Pluto as he lead there to where Mickey was behind held.

The keyblade was used as a mere cane at this point while talk was had among everyone. The old adolescent leaned against the weapon all nonchalantly, becoming a part of the background while observation was had. Apparently the Blot was ranting on about something to which D'daear didn't feel like listening. The Phantom Blot had been defeat, so why even bother with whatever the villain had to say. After some words, the mad man was gone; only leaving behind an echo of a villain's trademark laughter. D'daear rolled casual eyes, not giving a - Hoot. Then Hikaru spoke up, which suddenly brought interest back to the scene. He had completely forgotten about Mickey. The mouse went to work at an explanation once put in the spotlight. At first it was thought Mickey wanted Rain, but it was quickly revealed that Mickey was referring to the keyblade. D'daear's eyelids raised themselves even further, going from relaxed to genuinely curious.

The mouse led the group to a barnyard, pointing at it.

"So... who wants to open it?" Hikaru asked.

"I'll give it a shot, if it's alright with you guys. I actually never knew we could do this sort of thing..." D'daear spoke up, looking to Hikaru first before expanding his line of sight to the rest of the group. A firm grip was held on the keyblade, ready to unlock the door. The question was, how would he go about it exactly? Tap the barn with his key? Slice the barn's doors open? Was there there a mystical ritual to be had where he did a bit of a flashy movement, and then aimed the tip of the keyblade at the lock which would result in a automatic beam of light to emanate from the said keyblade to unlock the lock?

D'daear just didn't know.

"Uh, there aren't any more heartless. They literally just finished them off!" Ananta said, chuckling at Kross getting worked up over nothing. Soon enough Steel was back over and they were all together again. Standing around for a moment, Mickey's friends and dog came along to greet them. Although it became rather apparent that Mickey was missing! Gasping, Ananta listened to Goofy questioning Pluto. Once it was settled where they would be heading towards, Ananta followed her comrades quickly.

Catching up to Kross, Ananta tapped his shoulder. "So what got you all pouty awhile ago, if I may ask?" she looked at him. Swinging her arms behind her head, she cupped her hands behind her head and kept walking. It was nice to just be walking and not really running along after this fight. They were walking rather fast, though, so it really was a moot point by then. They were getting close to their destination, Ananta could feel it, she saw some building in the distance and Pluto barking at them feverishly.

"BARK!"

Steel jumped down from his blade as he watched Kel destroy the final heartless. It vanished into thin air as he listened to goofy and pluto talking. He did not speak, nor did he make a show of any of his opinions... that is, other than the banner floating over his head stating "Kel for Country of Musketeers MVP!" and his pin saying "Vote Kel Player of the Month!"
Other than that though, nothing out of him. He walked after Kel as Raisor listed the concern of where they were going in the first place, and Kross went on acting as if he had purposely offended him with his joke. He himself was busy remaining silent as if he had committed some terrible atrocity against him. (He had definitely committed a few atrocities against humanity, but insulting Kross's intellect wasn't one of them.) It didn't particularly help that his madnes wasn't as methodical lately. he couldn't fathom why; It wasn't as if he had given any of them his... Oh shoot. His hand flew towards the pendant that should have been underneath his clothing. It was still there, wasn't it? Had it been destroyed? He couldn't remember. Not showing his panic, he tuned himself back into the conversation. He was going to say that they should just follow the dog (for if he knew that Mickey was in the dungeon, he obviously either saw him there or heard it, and the second was unlikely.), but it seemed that they had already covered that, so he just kept walking in silence.

Bored shitless, Glen decided to go off exploring in Disneytown. He hadn't seen much of it earlier due to waiting in the home, and until the others got back there wasn't much they could do. "I have three questions for you guys. Where can I find ice-cream in this place, how much does it cost, and who wants to come with to get some?" he asked. He wasn't usually one for company, but out of all the people he knew, there was no denying the group of people he was with at that time were the people he was closest to.

 

Even if Kel hadn't noticed the tall building that the group was approaching, Pluto's barking alongside his still heading towards there made it pretty clear that that was where they were suppose to be heading. "So Mickey's somewhere in there, it would definitely take longer to find him, let alone this place, if we didn't have pluto guiding us." His pace didn't falter one bit as he ran towards and eventually inside the building. Hang on Mickey, we're almost there.

"I'm sorry Glen I kind of had a nervous breakdown there it wasn't anything against you." Kaida genuinely looked upset over the idea she had once again let a friend down. Dang was she doing great at that. He mentioned a book they were after and Kaida just looked overall confused about what book they were talking about. Kaida grabbed her hair and pulled at it saying, "Ugh I don't like being left out of the loop, curse this job."

Glen arrived back asking about where to find ice cream and Kaida shrugged and replied, "I don't know where but I'd like some! I'll pay for you guys as long as it's not too expensive."

 

Upon reaching the dungeon in which Mickey was held, they now just had to find him in his massive place. Again reinforcing how good it was to have pluto with them who could guide them to exactly where Micky was being held. The place certainly lived up to its name with how dark and dreary it looked. Certainly not one place Kel would even want to end up. Fortunately the odd of him actually ending up in a dungeon were low as far as he knew, so he just pressed on into the dungeon.

"Wow this place is pretty scary." Ananta stated the obvious, watching out for rats and cobwebs as they descended into the dungeon. The stones were slick with water and it was pretty dark going down. The only light they had was from the door they just came from. It was quickly going out. Instead of letting them wander in darkness, Ananta grabbed an unlit torch and placed a fire spell on it to light it up. She held it high, giving the party some light so they may continue down into this dungeon. "I hope Mickey's okay." she said, staring down at the goop she stepped in. It was just some moss and water mixed together, but it sure was gross and squishy. Making a disgusted face, she wiped her boot on the steps as they walked down more.

"Ugh, okay, who was the one that had the bright idea of putting a dungeon in a place full of cobwebs?" Raisor looked around the area, making sure they were going the right way.
Ananta had grabbed a torch to keep the path lit, but the night was pretty dark in this area, especially with all the buildings blocking out the moonlight, and it felt like there was someone watching behind every corner. Of course, the place also looked deserted from the looks of it, so maybe it just had that kind of feel. He really didn't mind going through the dark areas, but the one thing he did mind was the cobwebs, bugs, and arachnids. He always felt like something was touching him and made him react like he was being attacked. It was a habit after what he'd gone through, but it was annoying nonetheless. The faster they got out of there, the sooner they could go clobber Pete. And Raisor had a special punch waiting just for bringing them to this place.
"So, anyone catch sign of our little friend? I'm hoping we can get this over with soon and get out of here." He tried to keep his cool, but no matter how hard he tried, places like these were one of his few weaknesses.
