They had all walked down the path that led to cornerstone hill. Everything had been going great so far. Distractions were key to keeping himself well. D'daear stood with eyes glued to the large massive crystal ball that surged with light. While Hikaru spoke with the character named Horace, the glass ball of light stayed itself on top of four wooden blocks, an attraction to anyone and all new to its existence. Hands pocketed themselves as the purple haired boy just kept to himself. Somber masked itself with a dull look while the boy immersed himself in ethereal words. "The cornerstone of light..." the boy uttered as he remained fixated. Just being near the thing made him feel awkward, like some reminder of the events he could not let go yet. The crystal ball, all he remembered about it was from the stories read to him when he was younger. So much was different from what he was taught, but perhaps that's what made it all so different, so hard to take in. A small sigh escaped from nostrils. The cornerstone of light is an ancient relic that supposedly could keep the darkness away. In the stories, it was supposed to be held in a tree, however, here it was obviously not the case. Averting eyes to the floor, he skidded the tip of his cartoon shoes against the dirt beneath them in contemplation. After letting himself settle down, he gave the dirt a nice kick before turning to Hikaru, just as he had finished his conversation with Horace. "There are some things I have to figure out for myself..." he thought to himself.

"So, guys, any preferences on where to start?" Hikaru asked.

D'daear gave a careless shrug, turning to Aden as the suggestion had emanated from him. "I'll go wherever you guys decide..." he simply said.

"Wow..." Cailyn gazed at the orb of light. "It's beautiful." She said. "You can just feel the light that radiates from it." She thought to herself, feeling a warmth inside her heart. Whether that was the comforting presence of the light, or the actual Cornerstone was questionable. It didn't matter though, it brought her closer to home somehow. She was in a daze, but then heard Hikaru and D'daear's voice break through her day dreaming.

"The Lighting Bolt does look cool, but whatever you guys want to." Cailyn told him, trying to readjust her eye's focus on Hikaru. "I feel like I'm kind of imposing on your group/team or whatever, so you guys should decide." She pushed a strand of hair out of her face clumsily. "Besides, I don't want to pick something that will drag us to our doom..." She whispered to herself.

Upon their arrival on cornerstone hill, her attention was quickly directed towards the glowing crystal orb that stood just a few feet from where they were. It apparently caught everyone else's attention too so for once she wasn't the only one to be amazed. It deserved all the gazes since it was quite a sight to see and even feel like a warm sort of fuzziness inside. "Whoa...it's something very special and beautiful, despite its black and whiteness. But still . . . Why of all places is this here? hm." She wanted to take a closer look at the magical orb but the last sentence that Hikaru said made her turn towards the group.

"Huh? Oh! Uh . . . " Her eyes darted around to look for whatever he meant even though she was practically starring at it the entire time."Uh which ever one I suppose?. We'll have to get to all of them eventually" Rain answered starring at the glowing windows then mumbles to herself "Were those always there?"

    Ananta leveled up! (24)
    Steel leveled up! (24)

Mickey and goofy had finished suiting up and joined the other six in their newly appointed costumes. "I knew we had what it takes!"
"Cause we're clever!" chimmed in Goofy.
    "And Brave!" Donald added.
"And together, we are gonna be great big heroes! Whaddya say men? hehe, and women!" Mickey, Donald and Goofy held up their swords in royal fashion prepared to make a vow of some kind. Since the rest of the group didn't really follow the protocol, Donald stepped near them and whispered. "We're trying to do the thing... You know! All for one-"
"And two for tea!" Goofy finished.
Donald slapped his forehead and looked at his ill-informed fellow musketeer.
"W-well... we'll work on it! hehe..." Always optimistic, Mickey and friends were prepared to move out to see what special assignment Captain Pete had prepared for them.

    Outside the courtyard

Captain Pete presented himself with great intimidation to all the new recruits. "Alright men! Are you ready to recieve your assignment!"
"You bet we are Captain Pete!" Mickey jumped.
"I bet you are," Pete teased as he chuckled. "Now your very important mission as recruits is to escort the princess on her royal errands. As you know, she was almost incompetently assassinated today, which means you need to have a keen eye out for any bad bad guys!"
"Don't you worry Captain Pete, with the 8 of us-"
Pete stopped Goofy before he could finish. "Whoa there doofus- I mean! Musketeer Goofy, ehehe.. That carriage is only taking you, the duck, and half pint. Rest gotta walk behind you!"

"Oh," Mickey said in disappointment. "Well, you guys won't be too far back, right?"
"Oh but I'm afraid they gotta be," Pete insisted. "Bad guys could be following from afar and you don't want anything to ruin today for the princess, do you? Not on the night of the Opera?!"

The camera switched from Pete, to a poster advertising the opera tonight.

Shifting back to Pete, he shoved Mickey, Donald and Goofy to load up the carriage, while he stared down at the keybladers. "You five wait a few minutes before followin, ya hear?!"

"Well, it's as good as option as any," Hikaru noted.
He turned to Horace and asked; "So how do they work?"
Horace chuckled. "Wow, you folks really are knew, aren't you? Well it ain't too hard to get the scheme of things. Some you can watch, and some you can jump in... But I'll let y'all figure out which is which."
Hikaru thought for a moment, but it seemed to make as much sense as anything else they'd seen thus far. "Fair enough. Thanks Horace!"

Per Aden's suggestion, he stepped in front of the 4th window and opened both doors to reveal a small curtain with a string. "Guess this is the one we watch."

Once everyone had gotten dressed in their new uniforms Mickey and Goofy had struck some kind of pose with their swords held up high. If not for Donald explaining to them what they were doing, Kel probably would've just assumed that it was something that only the three of them did. Goofy then then do what Kel could only assume to say the wrong line. Why else would Donald face palm? Well there probably could be another reason given that Goofy was chasing him around with a mop earlier so there was at least one other reason for Donald's face palm.

The group had then ventured to where Pete had told them to meet and waited as he gave them instructions. He was clearly trying to be as intimidating towards them as he possibly could, but after all those behemoth that Kel had both seen and fought, Pete was one of the last things that could intimidate him now. Their first job would to be escort the princess carriage and make sure no one attacks her during. Though Mickey, Donald and Goofy would actually be riding in the carriage while the rest of them walked behind. "Is this Opera such a big deal?"

While Kel wondered this, as per the requirement for Country of Musketeers the camera shifted back to the poster of the opera.

When it had moved back to the keyblade wielders, the carriage had already left a few minutes ago. It had appeared to have gone far enough so that it would be alright for them to follow. So Kel went ahead and started walking in the direction it had gone off in. "Well we can't wait around here forever, plus it would probably suck it we failed out first assignment."

After Mickey, Donald, and Goofy struck a pose, they listened to what Pete said. Walking after them, she stopped when Pete mentioned for the keyblade wielders to stay behind the carriage and try to pick off anybody that attempted to attack. Pete even mentioned some kind of play or whatever happening that the princess was going to. Off to the side, Ananta heard some kind of song playing at a poster of the play that the princess was going to. Crossing her arms and sighing, Ananta nodded at Pete and began to walk off with the rest of the group. "So we're escorting the princess to this Opera lay thing?" she said.

The poster way back suddenly lit up and the jingle could be heard again, although faintly, behind everyone.

"I'd rather not watch that, to be honest. I never really liked singing or plays. They never made any sense." she grumbled. Turning her head towards Steel, Ananta remembered that he wanted to talk about something. Walking over and with him, Ananta spoke up. "I remember you saying you wanted to talk, right? So what'd you wanna talk about?" she asked. "As long as it's not really personal I'll answer it." she nodded. "Unless you want to scold me."

Base stepped in. "For now, we're going to act like this thing never happened." He slipped by Glen to add, "We'll try to make sure you don't die in the meantime...or at least... I will... sorry for the tickling thing...", and he continued to address everyone else. "Come on, you're all acting like this is some kind of overly dramatic Soap Opera!"

The camera quickly panned out to a wall outside advertising the very thing he'd mentioned, accompanied by music.

The camera returned to Base, knocked a bit off topic by the sudden switch. "What just...happene-" He didn't even let himself finish the thought. He bombarded right into what he intended to say. "Stratos is right, except for what he said about me. After all, I'm just a comedic hero-type who's purpose in this plot is to- Why am I talking about myself as if I were a fictional character...?" He blinked. "DARNIT, BEUCE!" He sunk. His spiel was over. "Just stop being jerks to each other, please."

Everyone gathered with each other outside the courtyard, dressed in their new clothes and ready for whatever the Captain had waiting for them. Before they got started, Mickey, Donald, and Goofy thrust their swords into the air and shouted a catchphrase; though given that Goofy seemed to mess it up and Donald slapping his forehead, Raisor was pretty sure they hadn't practiced it much. It certainly wasn't something he was ever going to do; poses and such were not something that he enjoyed doing, or catchphrases for that matter.

They met up with Captain Pete and were briefed on the mission. They were supposed to escort the princess around, except there was a catch. The six keybladers were supposed to walk behind a carriage. There were two things that seemed to bug Raisor with this: the first was that how were they supposed to keep up with a carriage drawn by horses, unless they walked slow, and the second was that how were they supposed to help Donald, Goofy, and Mickey if they were attacked when the six of them were far away. Raisor wanted to just get on his keyblade glider, but figured it'd be best to just stick with the silly plan and see how it played out.

After the talk, Raisor was a little antsy about walking so far behind their three new companions, but it couldn't be helped.
"So we're supposed to protect a princess from afar while she's basically out of reach for us before she goes to an opera?" A second later, a strange theme played out of nowhere.

After the music ended, Raisor had a blank stare on his face, wondering when that music would stop coming out of nowhere. In the past few minutes, he'd heard it four times already, and really hoped that it wouldn't be a continuous thing while they were in this world.

"Then go right ahead and ask them all the questions you want. Wait around for that guy to return so he can tell us he knows nothing because lets face it nothing turns out they way it should. Nothing ever works out and soon you will find that all of your efforts are for nothing." Karina said rather sharply and bluntly. "You want to stick around and help be my guest, I will be waiting right there for everything not to turn out." Karina walked over to a near by box and sat down, it was a little wet but Karina didn't care. She rested her head on her hand as she sat down glaring at the group and Mickey. If they wanted to help they could but there was no force that could make her help, she just wouldn't leave yet so she could laugh in some of their faces when it all went down hill. Some people where nice enough here that she would keep her mouth shut, others not so inclined.

As Hikaru opened and began to play the memory, Aden was reminded of one of the moving pictures he'd seen once on DJ's computer in Central Haven. What was it he called it--a video? No, that didn't sound quite right...

He shivered, almost feeling the chill of the memory's stormy night. As the memory progressed, however, the chill permeated Aden completely and he watched in horror as Mickey's dog was kidnapped by a madman and the mouse was attacked by skeletons and slowed by traps as he tried to rescue the dog. Horrorstruck, he couldn't help but cry out, "Why would anybody want to relive this?!"

Fortunately, the nightmarish memory turned out to be just that--a nightmare--but Aden was still perturbed. "...Someone else can choose the next one," he muttered, moving closer to the Cornerstone of Light and letting its warmth soothe his heart.

It looked like everyone was ready to go. Kross was currently adjusting the tightness on his pants, sighing. He had to choose the pair that were too big for him. He turned and grinned as Mickey spoke."I'm ready to go."He said with a confirmed nod. His grin fading as they tried out a catch phrase, which Goofy seemed to mess up taking from Donald's reaction. As usual, Mickey's boundless optimism showed through and Kross couldn't help but smile. Pete approached them and began to give them specifics on what their mission was. Supposedly they were supposed to protect a princess..from far behind the carriage. As a mage, Kross could do long range magic, but he still found it strange that Pete would assign the queen's best protection so far from contact. What if something happened? As the group left, Kross stood there for a moment, his eyes narrowing into Pete's retreating back, before he slowly followed along, soon catching up with Ananta.

The theme song could be heard faintly behind him and he turned, expecting to see a chorus, but no one was there. He blinked and hurriedly caught up with Ananta again, leaning in real close."Ananta..don't you find this a bit strange? Why would the leader want us to be so far from the queen? It doesn't make any sense."He murmured so he wouldn't look so conspicuous to anyone else.

While Kel had continued to walk in the direction of the carriage, he made sure to keep an eye on how fast he was going. Not solely to keep up the same distance between himself and the cart, but also to make sure that he hadn't gotten to far ahead of the others. It wasn't like he'd gotten that much of a head start, it was seconds at best. If he focused on maintaining the distance between him and the carriage, then he could unintentionally leave the others behind, not saying that they wouldn't try to keep up. Point is that Kel was trying to keep and equal distance between everyone else, himself and the carriage.

Raisor started walking behind the carriage, way behind for that matter. It seemed like while they were waiting, the carriage had become the size of a small dot in the distance. It wasn't really the case, but Raisor was trying to think of a good way to emphasize his point on how far they seemed to be. It didn't sit well with him that they were walking at such a distance, and if anything happened, what help could they give at the needed time? Raisor began to groan a little, and bit his lip. Missions like these always made him antsy, even when he did jobs back in his own world, and when he was stuck doing it a different way when he knew what was better, it just annoyed him and got on his nerves. Normally he'd just outright complain and moan the whole way, and other people would keep their distance from him, but he was over that; well, mostly over it anyways. He kicked a small stone that was in front of him and wondered how long these errands would take. Hopefully not too long, because he couldn't keep himself in check like this for too long.

Steel walked with the group as they followed the carriage from a long distance. He could only chuckle to himself: things would certainly be interesting here. As the group walked, Ananta and Kross began to talk a bit. Kross seemed particularly suspicious of Pete. "Shh!" Steel exclaimed. He then looked left and right as if to see if anyone was listening in. Satisfied he would not be heard, Steel leaned in and gestured for Kross to do the same. However, he didn't really wait for the boy to do so.

"It doesn't matter how suspicious we are; we can't change the plot." He whispered rather loudly. He then stood straight and began talking in a loud voice. "Ah, yes, Ananta. I believe we were going to talk about ... uh... that thing! The thing that happened in Cen... Central Haven!" Steel cleared his throat before continuing the on the topic. "You remember that, right?"

Eon stood in Castle Oblivion, alone and unaware of who he was, what he was doing there, why he had a purpose at all. The white rooms went on and one and on with no end. His memories continued to fade every time he entered a new level. For some reason if he backtracked he would regain the memories lost. He came into a room and finally remembered one of the supplies he obtained in his journey. It was a mirror from beast's castle. He couldn't remember his friends names but he could in fact remember their faces and the time they spent together.

He pulled out the mirror and began to look into it, concentrated on the faces of those he once knew. He missed them and wanted them to be together once again. There was hurt in his heart as he tried to remember their names but couldn't. The mirror showed different worlds and different people he knew all going through one by one. While he spent his time in this lonely prison known as Castle Oblivion, he could hold onto one thing that would never go away, his connection with those he had come to know as friends. His heart still longed for them. If only he could find his way out. It was probably assumed he was dead.

Frustrated, Ananta was about to ask Kross to go somewhere else while she had a talk with Steel. Then Steel hushed him and talked quite loud. Covering her ears, she gritted her teeth and turned her head to Kross. "Go away for a minute, I have to hurt Steel." she said. Her head turned to Steel and she raised a fist. Clenching the fist, she punched Steel's arm as hard as she could. "Don't yell at people!" she huffed, continuing to walk beside Steel. "In any case, why the heck did you act that way back in Central Haven? You were doing the exact opposite of what we need to do. We gotta work together, we're the only friends we have in battle that we can trust with our lives." she said, staring at the ground. "I don't want our group being full of people that hate each other..." she sighed. "Just tell me what's wrong."

Kel had managed to stay within earshot when he hear Steel yell from behind him. When he turned around he saw that Ananta had already punched him in the arm. He had no idea if that would actually do anything, but he left it up to her. Whether that was a good idea or not, that was up for debate, Either way he just kept on walking.

Captain Pete clopped along the now empty battle grounds where the musketeers trained, giggling villainously as he went into the shadows to meet with his shady underlings. "Alright beagle boys, this is the only other chance you'll get, so don't screw it up like you did last time!"
The three he spoke to consisted of masked robbers with dark uniforms and brown hoods. "But we did just like you said and dropped ze safe on ze princess!" the shortest one claimed in his high pitched french accent. Captain Pete merely gritted his teeth and sighed. "I didn't say DROP a safe, ya dolt! I said KEEP her safe!" He grabbed the shortest and picked him up by his hood.
"Well that's good... cause we missed her!" The second beagle boy spoke. Being one of the two taller ones he fashioned a cockney accent. Dropping the beagle boy back onto the ground, he began to grow infuriated. "Listen you mutts! I gotta plan, see? AND IT AIN'T TO KILL THE PRINCESS! It's to kidnap her!"
"Huh?" the three asked in unison.

"Da Opera... It's tonight..." he reminded them.

"The Princess has gotta be GONE by then! Or I can't become king!" Captain Pete's plan was now revealed, with no one to witness the devious intentions behind his actions.
"Oooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhh!" They understood as they held on to their sound of understanding.
"I... don't get it," the shortest added.
"Oh! Oh! Wait! I do!" The third exclaimed in his deeper cockney voice. "We follow them musketeers, right? Cut em off at the pass and then snatch em whiles they on route!"
"Finaly some competence! Now that that's all understood, think you might have some spare time to go and snatch da princess?" he asked in a sweet and sarcastic tone.
"Yeah, I think," the shortest checked his watch.
"Well quit thinkin' and do it! The opera's tonight and-"

Captain Pete blinked as that was the second time the camera moved from him. Choosing to ignore it, he continued to scold the three. |The job's gotta be done by then, remember?!"
"So what do we do when we've got her?"
"I want you to grab her, find a remote tower somewhere and lock 'er away for ever so knows one can ever find her again! Yah got me, dinkbats?!"
"But uhh... what about them other blokes?"
"Yeah, now it's eight against three! And it's unfair if they the only ones that are cheating!"

"You leave the extra punks to me! When dey first showed up, I discovered some little critters that followed that have apparently taken quite da likin' to me!" He turned around and yelled out. "Hey small fries! Get in here!" As he beckoned, soldier heartless appeared before him from the voids of darkness.

"Blimey... what the heck are they?"
"Who cares! They listen to me, see? So go cut em off before yah miss em!"
"Sure thing boss!" they saluted as the three left off to leave Pete with the heartless soldiers.
"And you guys get movin' too! Grab ll your little buddies and cut off those key wielding nimrods so theys can get da job done without any interruptions!"
The soldiers nodded and faded back into darkness to leave the Captain to chuckle in his villainous plot.

Mickey gazed over at Karina who didn't seem to be interested at all in helping his cause. Not that he could blame her, he still wanted to show that they were no hard feelings. He looked along the ground as he thought in his head what might cheer her up, or at least gain some form of favored forgiveness. His eyes lit up after having thought of something.
"Your name's Karina, right?" he asked, having overheard her name being thrown around. He tried to keep his face straight, so he didn't come off more happy than he usually was. She seemed to frown more than his master ad he wanted to keep things serious. "I'm awfully sorry you were put in that situation and I thank you and your friends for helping me out back there... I just wantya to know... that you don't have to help if you don't want to... I mean you've already done more than enough already." He gave off a weak smile before continuing.
"Ya know... I'm trying to be a keyblade master too under the teachings of my master. I don't really know if I'll ever get as strong as you..." His smiled faded a bit before growing bigger at the thought of something happier.
"But that's just something else I can work towards! Being strong so I can protect the ones I care about!" He turned to the others to announce his course of action to try and find the other spells.
"Using Master Yen Sid's spell book, I can open up portals for you to find the missing spell pieces. I've already got the first one!"

    MISSION COMPLETE!

    Stratos leveled up! (22)

"There are still six more that I need to find. Normally Master Yen Sid would open the world, while I travel through it, but I hafta keep the world open now it seems..."
He ran to the bookcase to find and opened a book entitled "Fantasia" and began to move his hands as if was conducting a symphony.
A small portal opened with the image of lilypads on a pond waiting on the other side.
"Once you've found the piece, just return back so I can open the next one!" he turned to Karina. "Of course, no one has to help if they don't wanna, hsha!" He tried to make sure she knew that he was fine with her lack of participation. "I'm just happy to have people helping out... I would be glad to have any one of you on my team!"

"Protect the ones you care about huh?" Karina said quietly to herself after Mickey mentioned that is what he wanted to do. "That is a good noble goal Mickey, never stop trying." Karina said as she put her hand on his shoulder and walked past him. "Perhaps.... It would be easier if I had anyone to protect. A reason to fight..." Karina spoke back to mickey as a way of saying she was willing to help a little more despite everything. Although Karina was not in a good mood it was hard to be mad at Mickey, there was just something about him. That didn't stop her from being sad however. Even with the attitude she had show Mickey still had a soft heart towards her, spoke to her nicely, thanked her and was understanding, something she didn't get as often as you think she should. The feeling someone cared. Karina glanced over at Stratos and then Beuce, they had both cared for her, but why? She couldn't return the feeling. She couldn't comprehend the idea of caring for anyone else any more, the concept had become so foreign to her. "Lets get going we should fix the mess we helped create." Karina said trying to sound like what Mickey had said didn't effect her at all.

Karina entered the portal and found various objects such as mushrooms moving around her to the beat of the music. She was forced to jump out of the way of them a couple times, stumbling back to the beat of the music. Karina found herself at a loss for words as leaves fell past her and mushrooms danced at her feet. This world was incredible. Karina felt a little more calm now than she had before, though Mickey mouse's words also calmed her. It occurred Karina standing in a world that helped her find a sense of peace, realized that she had over reacted to Glen and drowning him was not the best thing to do. He didn't understand her, did that really mean he had to die? A pang of regret hit Karina as she pushed it aside. There was no changing her actions at this point and that was just something she had to accept and move on from.

Glen was dripping wet from the attempted drowning, and was still having trouble breathing from it, but for some reason he wasn't strange. Mickey had some weird spell that he must have been using that made it impossible to be mad. Glen was certainly still annoyed, but was he mad enough to confront Karina over it? No, not at that point. They had a job to do, and he was going to get it done. "I'll help you, Mickey. All I've done since I joined these guys was cause trouble for them and make a mess, so it'll be a nice change of pace to actually do something helpful for once" he said, laughing a little bit at the end of that statement.

However, as Karina spoke to Mickey about having something to fight for, Glen decided to say something. Damn Mickey and his friendship magic. "Karina, I don't know why I'm saying this, but I'm sorry about the comment about your home. I didn't know you'd be killed if you returned, and if I had I doubt I would've said it. But, even if you don't have a home anymore, you seem to fit in with the others fairly well, or at least better than I do. The other keyblade wielders, they look at you like one of their own, like you're part of their family. Fight for them. Use that ridiculous strength of yours to keep them safe. Protect your family, in the way that I was never able to. You fit in here, it's me that doesn't belong here" Glen apologized, Mickey causing things to happen that normally wouldn't and making Glen's writer unable to hate Karina temporarily.

He then looked at the portal that had been made. "So, this portal..we just go in there and find this piece and then get out? Sounds simple enough. Last one to get their piece and get back is a crippled shadow heartless!" Glen shouted before diving into the portal.

The first thing Glen noticed when he landed in a small clearing was that he had background music playing. That was....very strange. The second thing was that he was tiny. Bushes, flowers, everything around him was either hugely overgrown, or he'd shrunk. He was still wondering what was going on when the area lit up for a split second as several multicoloured lights began circling around him. Upon closer inspection, Glen could see that they were fairies. Fairies were magical, Yen Sid was magical, this was one of Yen Sid's spells created from his books, so..maybe they knew something about Yen Sid! As the area consistently began lighting up and then going dark, the fairies circled faster and faster around the boy. Not long after, he saw a light blue fairy fly away from the group. "Hey, wait up!" he shouted, running after the small creature.
