In The Times Of Fairy Tails

The girl had decided to join up with a certain team. This team consisted of Thomas, Gaius, a giant bird looking thing known as Ra, and a very enthusiastic girl who liked to yell justice for no reason. She couldn't recall if there was anyone else on that team or not so she just brushed it aside. Now that things were settled in the guild hall and she some how was made a member, she was sent off on a mission with the entire guild to defeat the leader of the group that destroyed their guild hall. It was nice to be thrown into a battle but it also scared her to be thrown into such a high ranked mission right off the bat.

She waited for the battle to commence from the leader of the opposing guild who could only be assumed to be very powerful given the number of people against just him. Dawn's role right now was to be a healer of the team she was on. No matter the case, she would heal her teammates from any injury endured. She just hoped Gaius wouldn't scold her for healing him if he got hurt, so far her impression of him was terrifying.

 

"Hmph. You are wise beyond your years, master. Humans are weak creatures by nature, however, relying on eachother only proves your weakness. True strength means the lack of need for others. There are those destined to rise, and stand head and shoulders above the rest! It is not the great who are strong, it is the strong who are great! If you are destined to wield power, then it will be yours. If friends are where you draw your strength from, then it is not truly you who is strong." Ezekiel said in debate with Evanora. However, they were not here to exchange words. "I will not turn back. And you will find i am not so courteous as to let my enemies escape after i have set my mind out to destroy them. You will die this day, Sapphire eclipse. I shall see to it." Ezekiel's words were serious. He had every intention of slaughtering the lot of them in cold blood. If they couldn't defeat the arcane being here and now, then all hope was lost. They would die at his hands.

He looked over the small crowd which had gathered to face him. "Only Twenty Nine of you? How disappointing..." There were two in particular that caught his interest. The first being Ra. Ra would be the last to die. First, he would watch Ezekiel destroy the rest of his guild, knowing that he brought it upon them. The second was the man who brushed past him in the guild hall, Leviathan. His life had been saved once before by Ra's intervention, but this time there would be no saving him. "If you value friendship so highly, then i shall just have to show you the folly of your beliefs. You cannot fathom what i am. My power has reached the levels of a god." The way Ezekiel spoke wasn't as though he were gloating about his power. No, the tone was matter of fact. As though it were a simple truth that one just couldn't comprehend, yet he tried to explain it nonetheless. He truly believed that with all of them together, they stood no chance. For all anyone knew, he may well have been right.

"This time, no surprises will save you." Ezekiel lifted his hand, and from the sky, a blast of arcane energy shot down into the members of the guild, scattering them with the explosion. However, one in particular was in the eye of the blast. Leviathan was knocked high into the air, his clothes burning as he was raised up. Ethereal chains wrapped around him, ready to detonate upon contact with the arcane energy Ezekiel wielded. The end came to him quickly. What could one expect in the face of such power? A burst of arcane energy much like the one he had fired at him earlier erupted from the man's fingertips. This time, there was no saving him. The scorpion flail was reduced to ash, and his body was blown apart. In a matter of seconds, where Leviathan had once stood, there was nothing. Not a single trace of him remained. It was as though he'd never existed at all. "Escaping my wrath a single time is a feat rarely achieved. The boy was blessed with the devil's luck. However, there is no second time."


For a moment, Ra was unable to speak. He knew very little about the man, but he had saved his life back in the guild hall. That man had fought with them to defend their guild, and he was one of them. When Ra looked over at Ezekiel, his piercing red eyes radiated anger. There was bloodlust on face. His hand, decorated with an ornamental claw pushed himself off the ground. "Ezekiel, you have made your final mistake. You attack our home, make us fight for our lives, and now you have slain one of us. You have invoked our tempers far more than a wise man would dream of. Now, you must pay the consequences." Ra stood up to his full height. Standing at 6"4, he was high above most there. His shining armor glistened in the light of the sun. Dressed completely in pure gold, he radiated with rage. His hair in the midday light almost seemed to glow, as though it were ablaze with a glorious golden flame. Right now, in this very moment, one could mistake him for a god. The embodiment of the sun itself.

He pointed a clawed finger at his brother. "Ezekiel, it is time your spark was extinguished!" He yelled out. ​

Gaius stood still as Leviathan was disintegrated, too shocked to do anything. This man, this monster, he had to be stopped. The time for jokes had passed, Ezekiel was going to suffer. He hadn't known Leviathan very long, he didn't even know the guy's name, but he was still a member of the guild nonetheless. It had only been a few days since Gaius had gotten there, but the place already felt like a home to him, and the people there were already starting to feel more like a family; the family he had never had. S

Cracking his knuckles, Gaius took a step forward. Aside from Ra and Evanora speaking, nobody else had made a move, so Gaius would be the first. If anyone was looking at Gaius, they would see that the fire mage no longer had the cocky, friendly grin on his face, but rather a very serious, grim look instead. There weren't very many things that made the red headed wizard get serious, but the death of an innocent person was one of them. "So, you're the big guy everyone else was talking about? You made a mistake attacking us, you made a mistake killing him" Gaius said, gesturing towards the scorch mark that was all that remained of Leviathan, "and I'm going to make sure you're never able to hurt anybody again!" he shouted, rushing towards Ezekiel, fist raised as he went in to attack the mage. If Gaius had been able to hit spirits, he figured hitting energy would probably work too.

"Levi!" Calxiyn cried. Her voice was filled with tears, she cried out, screaming in pain. She had to cover her mouth, she threw up on the ground beside her. One of her Guild Members, gone before her eyes. And she just stood there. She felt like a coward. She was on her knees, tears streaming down her pale face. Her blue eyes were filled with sadness, and pain went through her body. It was like her heart had broken in pieces. She clenched her fist. She couldn't just let this coward go free "Forget it! There's no way you're taking my family away from me!" She screamed at him in pure anguish. "What I do, I do for friendship. Even if I die today, that's a price I'm willing to pay!" Her Keyblade appeared in her hand, and she ran up to Ezekiel, and used Quick Blitz. "You will pay, Ezekiel! You will feel pain like you've never felt before!

 

Having been challenged to a fight by the weird magical guild master person(?) Lucia and crew had moved out to begin their assault on him. Once there, all he could was spout things about how weak they all were, how strong he was, and how utterly screwed they were. He then demonstrated his own power by obliterating one of their guild members. She was stunned at the sight of the smoldering pile of ash that used to be...that person. She actually had no idea what his name was, however he was still another human being. She turned from the ash pile and listened to Ezekiel rant about how he was on par with a god. Clenching her fists and grinding her teeth, Lucia's expression had turned from one of stunned surprise to seething rage, as a hate filled glance was directed towards the arcane being. Before she could say anything, the blonde haired girl who was always taking about justice pointed her sword at the man said, "vile scourge of the earth. Your existence is a very blight upon this world!"

Lucia then spat out, "and if you're willing to play god, you sure as hell better prepare yourself! Because we're going shatter those dellusions of yours!" With that, Charlotte jumped forth with her blade at the ready, and Lucia jumped with her knives at the ready. The two girls used Quick Blitz.

After Gaius attacked Ezekiel he felt the hit connect, but his opponent didn't flinch in the slightest. In fact, he began retaliating with his own attack. Seeing Ezekiel charging up an attack, he leaped backwards and away from the mage. However, he wasn't quick enough to avoid the blast that came swiftly. The blast of pure arcane energy struck him in the back, knocking him forwards and sending him sprawling onto the ground. He tried to get up, only to hear another blast of energy sound. However, he felt no pain, which meant he wasn't the target. Pushing himself up to his feet, Gaius stood straight once again. If the others were getting involved with the fight, then how could he possibly stay down?

His back burned from the blast he'd taken, but pain was nothing new to him. He showed a slight grin at the memory of being hit. "Looks like he ain't all show. Guess we'd better show him that we aren't either" he said quietly. The injuries would take their toll, but if he stopped fighting for even a second then more would be hurt. Rushing straight towards Ezekiel, his fist began engulfed in flames as he created a small fireball and attempted to throw it at his target at point blank range.

Ezekiel barely even flinched to their attacks while his attacks on the other hand had done quite a bit of damage to them. Despite that, it wasn't going to be enough to stop him, so he aimed the palm of his hand towards the ball of energy and fired off a fire spell towards him.

 

Dawn decided to use Blizzard. She needed to conserve the MP for Cure.

Scarlett barely even flinched at the total annihilation of Leviathan. Well, at least on the outside she didn't. On the inside, it was more like total panic. Holy ****, holy ****, holy ****. That guy just freaking eliminated that dude in one shot. How in the hell are we supposed to win over this guy? He doesn't exactly look like the flirty type, so thats out of the question. Sheer force was about the only option possible at this point. Besides, we outnumber him a lot to just one. So, we just wear him down and kick his extremely magical and all powerful ass. Damn. Alright. That is how it is gonna be then. Scarlett took a small step back and let out a calming breath before launching into a quick blitz attack.
