Rhysand Rouge the VI, king of Kaynta, road onward towards the titan ahead. There were two warriors with him, one to his left, the other to his right. With a nod the king signaled the two other riders to split off, surrounding the titan on three sides. Rhysand bared his elongated canines, snarling at the beast. It was threatening the scout corp who he had sent out and he was not willing to lose men fighting this titan. It was one of the bigger ones, and it was starting to get a little too close to Kaynta, a city his ancestors build and he worked to protect. This titan wouldn't live another day. Though the scout regiment could handle the fight on it's own, especially with Drake leading, he still wanted to deal with this one himself.

Simultaneously three sets of maneuver gear went off, piercing into the Titan. Three bodies were soon swinging around the Titan as it swiped for them. Rhysand let his two men distract as his maneuver gear let go from the titan and shot towards a tree behind the titan, across from where he was. As he flew towards the end of his line, he drew his swords, slicing a piece out of the titans neck. He then braced himself as he hit the tree legs first absorbing the impact. He then descended to the ground, mounting his horse once again and looking over to his companions he fought with.
    "Good work." He complimented them.

Riding back the Fae warrior stopped by the leader of the scout regiment he was sending out, Drake Famoye.
"Good luck out there today. The titan is clear but I have no doubt that you will run into more. If there is too many send a runner back here and I will send aid. Also keep an eye out for my daughter would you. She is supposed to be out hunting today but she is a wild spirit as you will know. I don't doubt she has been going further and further away doing some scouting of her own on top of hunting. Just if you see her, either try to send her home or take her with you. Perhaps you can soften her heart and get some sense into that brain of hers." Rhysand said with a sigh. It was no mystery that he wanted his daughter to marry Drake. Drake was a strong leader, one that would be good for helping Amber rule one day. Amber wasn't as keen on the idea of getting married. She was still young and wild, but if Drake could get into her heart then maybe....

Rhysand watched the scouts off, heading towards the walled city to check out what was going on there, reports before had said there were signs of it being attacked by titans, Rhysand wanted to know the full details of it, and he had no one better to send than Drake. Once they were gone and out of sight Rhysand turned back and started to climb the set of stairs hidden in a nearby tree that lead to their city in the tree tops where he would go around checking up on the other regiments and perhaps even help with defense.

A young Fae female used her maneuver gear to swing from the tree top city to the ground below. Her red hair billowing behind her revealing her delicate pointed ears, one of many sure signs of a fae. Hitting the ground she used her magic to transform into her alternate form, a leopard. In this form she was more agile and hunting became easier, not that her fae form was not a good at hunting. It was actually great. Fae were like humans but better in almost every possible way. Even then she still liked the feeling of being a leopard and running and pouncing on her prey, the speed was even greater than that in her fae form, which was impressive.

Out of the corner of her eye, through a set of tree's she spotted the scout regiment about to set out. Oh she was going to have a lot off fun. Flame took off ahead, sprinting through the tree's creating a large gap in space between her and the city. Instead of stopping to hunt the prey she passed, Flame wanted to have some fun first. Scaring the crap out of the scout regiment was certainly that. Afterwards then perhaps she would do her job, that wouldn't be too hard.

Once out of the tree's and into a clearing, Flame sank down on her haunches as she searched for a good place to hide. She soon then crept forward into high grass, her pelt blending in well with the yellowing grass, she stared out waiting for the scout regiment to pass. She was crouched as though she would be waiting for a prey, but right now it wasn't to kill, only to play. Later she would kill. She would bring back what she could for the cooks to make up for the meals. As much as Flame was free spirited and wanted just to have fun, she still understood the importance of her role in society and took it seriously eventually. Though the whole being a princess part of it... well that was hit or miss whether she took it seriously. She tried to be a good leader, but she didn't want to be all serious like her father, that was no fun, no fun at all.

Adelina stayed behind at the city most days. She was not much of a fighter so she had to be careful. Unlike the Fae, or elves, or even humans, fairies were not built with a very strong frame. Unlike rumours and some species of fairies she was tiny, or thumb sized. She was certainly smaller than most here but not that small. She was about 4'2" with delicate wings spreading from her back. The young woman was a beautiful gentle creature, and due to this not many of her kind had survived over the years, just the few that had made it to Kaynta.

Adelina was hunched over a stove working on food for lunch that day, not long ago had she finished preparing food for those who would be out hunting, scouting, or fighting today, now it was time to make the food for the rest of the city. Adelina hummed a pleasant tune as she worked steadily on her food preparation. She could only focus on lunch now, dinner would have to wait until the hunters were back, and given Flame was out today, who would know how long that would be. Even so it didn't matter. Adelina was not one to worry too much, instead being pleasant in nature and always seemingly calm about most things. She was one of the lights to a city who could often be so gloomy, given all the death that was a constant companion.

Nope, it wasn't working. Hunter was pretty annoyed to say the least. Word apparently travelled very fast, because he had heard of a titan being killed without him. Pretty close to Kaynta, too. And he hadn't even been invited to go hunting. His name was Hunter for god's sake, and he was a soldier. What part of that screamed 'no we don't need him'. And he was the best soldier there, totally. Except maybe...no, he was the best. And so he had spent the last fifteen minutes simply sitting hanging over the edge of the canopy, swearing and yelling as many curse words as he could possibly think of, but it just wasn't doing the trick.

So, he'd have to find something else to do. Standing up with a slight groan, Hunter began walking towards the kitchen. He needed to put someone down to make himself feel better. What had the world done to such a man to cause him to act that way and to be such a colossal dick? Nothing, he was just born that way. All natural, and he was proud of it. Stepping into the kitchen, he found the fairy maid sandwich maker thing. "Food. Now" he demanded, pointing at a plate just in front of him.

Akari was sitting down inside of her home at her work, tampering with some of the 3D maneuver gear she'd been given. She couldn't remember who had actually given her it, but she did remember they'd only given it to her the day before. The hooking mechanism was busted and apparently hadn't been firing properly, so she'd been given it to fix. That was a piece of cake, it'd been fixed in about an hour and a half yesterday. Today was a little more fun. With her goggles over her eyes, she was hard at work messing around with the thing. "Just a little more....turn it right here....aaaaaaaand done" she said proudly, pulling her goggles back up on top of her head as she held up the hookshot in the air. It was a work of beauty, if she did say so herself. And she did. But...it needed something more. What was it?

Drumming her fingers rhythmically on the desk, she had an idea almost immediately. Ideas were her specialty; she couldn't stop having them even if she wanted to. "Ah! Of course, it was so damn obvious!" she said, before pulling out a paintbrush. She painted red flames along the sides of it, before putting it down once more. It was perfect. Speed flames to make the hook shoot faster. Now if only she had an invention that let her remember who gave her the thing...

Drake Famoye smirked slightly at the king's words. Drake wasn't a particularly overconfident guy, but if there was one thing he was sure he could do it was a scouting mission. "I'll scout it out and be back before you know it. If a titan gets in my path, I'll take care of it. And if Amber gets involved, I'll make sure no harm comes to her. Besides, if she shifts I think it's the titans that will be the ones screaming in fear" Drake said, a light joke thrown into the mix. It wasn't as much a joke as his tone made it seem though; if there was any one female in Kaynta that Drake feared it was Amber. Her determination and drive to succeed in everything made even his pale in comparison. Maybe that's why he enjoyed her company; it was good to have a little competition once in a while.

With that said, Drake turned to his little band of scouts. There were only six of them, but it should be enough to get the job done. Stealing from the walled city wasn't too difficult, it was getting back with the stuff that was the hard part. It was a good thing he was experienced with it. "Alright, lets go. We'll get the stuff, then get back from the city before Adelina's finished with dinner" Drake stated. He trusted the scouting regiment and got along with them pretty well. However, there weren't that many of them that joked around with him on the job. While Drake was fairly easy-going, that could change in a heartbeat if titans showed up or anyone was put in danger; and that included them starting a fight with one another. They then departed, setting forth from Kaynta with the intention of going to the walled city.

Tessa let her legs swing out over the ledge, looking down at the ground below. There were no titans in the area, yet. But she figured they must be nearby. They always seemed to be nearby, and it would be too much to ask for a break. Trying to take a positive outlook on the day, she looked up at the canopy of trees. At least the weather was nice. And there were no titans close by. Her feet dangled in free fall as she gently touched the 3D maneuvering gear with the tips of her fingers. It had been a gift to all the cadets on their graduating day, when they had finally been able to choose where they would work in this society. She had chosen the Scouting Regiment, had her heart set on it since she had been younger. Of course that meant that her friend Zack followed her too.

She smiled as she thought of her older friend. He acted very much the older brother around her. While it was sweet, it did get a little annoying. Speaking of Zack, she sighed, standing up. She was supposed to meet him for lunch. Since they were both newly graduated cadets, they weren't sent out on any missions just yet. She knew that it was because they needed to be watched and protected by veterans in order to keep them from being torn apart. It was annoying, and yet, she felt relieved, in a way. She wouldn't have wanted to go on the mission today. She hated raiding the city, and taking from people. It just didn't seem like a fair way to live. They did alright without stealing, didn't they?

Zack looked up at the sky and sighed. He was on the very edge of the town, watching between the trunks of the trees for any sign of movement. Could be a deer, something he could kill and bring back to the kitchens, or it could be a titan, something he would very much need help with. Had he been a big younger, he would have said he needed an adult, but now, Zack was very much an adult. And he was expected to act like one. Which was why he was out here, when he could have been getting a drink, or better yet; lunch.

Shit. He was supposed to have lunch with Tessa. He looked around, feeling guilty for some reason. It wasn't like he was getting paid to be here, and he most certainly wasn't on duty. But all the same, it felt like he shouldn't leave. Well, when there wasn't a logical reason for it, he didn't listen, and turned, walking along the wooden pathways with his hands shoved into his pockets. His 3D maneuvering gear bumped along his hip, a reminder that he was freshly graduated from the cadet school. He smiled proudly at the thought, the expression tempered by the reminder that neither his mother nor his aunt had showed much excitement. Granted, they were worried he was going to get hurt, or worse, killed, but he had confidence in his abilities, and those of his friends. As long as they stuck together, he was sure they would maker it through.

Veera hid her bored expression as her leader and commanding officer, Drake, bantered with the king. She had no interest in the leader of their city, or honestly in any of his concerns. Her only concern was the titans, and making sure they didn't hurt anyone ever again. Except for the bureaucratic stiffs back at the city. They could be torn apart limb by limb and devoured by a titan and she wouldn't bat an eye. She had only been thirteen when they had evicted her, among others from the city, with the mission of trying to bring back supplies for the townspeople. Right. Without any weapons or support from the military. The reminder was still a bitter pill to swallow, and she grimaced, wishing that they could just get on with this. She dearly needed the distraction from her thoughts.

As though her mind was read, Drake bid farewell to the king and turned back to them, surveying the group with his sharp eyes. "Alright, let's go. We'll get the stuff, and then get back to the city before Adelina's done with dinner." She swore she could have heard some chuckles from her teammates, but she remained solemn. Her nerves were stretched and her body tense. She hated going back to the city, even if they went to part she had never explored as a child. With an exasperated sigh at herself, she followed her leader out into the wilderness, forcing her mind to focus on their surroundings. Even the smallest of distractions was dangerous when the titans were involved. And she would not make herself easy prey.

Flame waited and watched with a stillness and patience that rarely was achieved by the human kind. They phrase used to say that it could only be achieved by immortals, but over the centuries the fae powers had been lost and watered down, magic was not as abundant as it once was, the immortality of the fae race ended allowing them to age like humans. Same went for any other immortal race, though she supposed that was good, Flame couldn't imagine having to find something to keep her life exciting for hundreds or thousands of years. But if they were immortal then perhaps she could have remembered a time from before the titans or see the day when they where all eradicated. A day where her life didn't consist of hiding in the tree's from titans and humans alike. However Flame highly doubted that she would live long enough to ever see that day.

As the scout regiment moved in close Flame was ready. When they were in range she jumped. Leaping into the middle of them and their horses she started to run in a circle attempting to scare all the horses before setting her eyes on one of the most serious of all, Drake. She pounced at him, though her claws were not out, no harm should come as her paws hit his shoulders and she growled a bit, a playful growl. Oh this was fun, especially after seeing how uptight one of the scouts he was taking along was. They could use a bit of a fright.

Knocking on the door before entering the house, King Rhysand entered the house and workshop of one of their best technicians, Akari. "Sorry for interrupting you during your work, but have you finished with the repairs and new equipment I requested of you yet? There are a few new scouts that need something to do, so I figured a little training and testing of the new equipment was in order, as long as you are finished of course." The king told Akari as he leaned against the back wall, his arms crossed in front of his chest as he took in his surroundings, how Akari chose to decorate her house, as well as the tools that were scattered around as well. "Of course you may come to watch and search for ways to make improvements if you wish." He also offered the girl, hoping to get her out of her home a bit more than she normally was. There was nothing wrong with staying inside but it could get a bit much, so perhaps she would take him up on his offer.

"My apologies, but lunch won't be ready for another hour yet. You will have to wait until then like everyone else." Adelina told him as she danced around the kitchen, going from one end to another preforming various tasks for everything she had going at once. Her gold gown flowing behind her as she did so. "If you wish to eat sooner, perhaps you can help me with the preparations, however that is not required of you." Adelina spoke calmly and gently, not faltering as she continued to cook, seemingly not minding Hunter yelling at her. "If you do not wish to help please step back out of my way, lunch will be in the dining hall in an hour. You will be fed there." She continued on, hoping that the man would listen to her.

    Griffin's pov:

He was sitting in a house in Keynta. He remembering to put on his outfit. He remembered what happened yesterday. He had made the mistake of going outside with out the covering. A near by person screamed and dropped dead on the spot. Sadness filled his eyes, he would have to do some recon today. He looked into the mirror making sure everything was covered. He walked out the house keeping a eye out for anything unusual. Nothing odd yet the rumors of titans on his mind. He walked around Keynta without seeing anything. He quite like this outfit he could stay in the shadows and help people without them dropping dead. The was a nice café in town, but then he remembered that he could not eat without people seeing the real him. He let out a sigh. Forever the curse of being ugly.

Standing as tall as he was able, Hunter towered above Adelina. She had suggested he helped, and while he was hungry he wasn't that hungry. "An hour? What the hell am I supposed to do until then? You're a fairy, go and magick something up for me. Some kind of big sandwich or a steak or something like that. It should be easy, I mean that is your job right?" he asked, getting straight to the point.

Akari stopped what she was doing immediately when the king walked in and jumped a little, nearly dropping the equipment on the ground. "Your majesty!" she exclaimed. When he spoke and explained what was going on and then asked if she wanted to see the results for herself, Akari listened closely. She had respect for the king; something she didn't have for a whole lot of people. "Hmm, sure! Field tests are a great way to see what I have to do to improve it. I'd love to see it" the girl responded at last.

It was at that moment that Akari remembered what exactly the king had requested. He'd asked for some kind of equipment that could help the scouts stay safe from the titans. That was her project, her baby. Luckily for the king, she'd been thinking of something like that for quite some time. "One moment" the tinkerer said as she turned and walked into her room. She emerged only a moment later, carrying a grey cloak. It looked like a typical cloak, but within it there were tiny nanomachines; it was a work of technological genius, really.

"Looks like just a regular cloak right? I've had this thing being worked on for about two months now. Had the idea when I was watching how the titans act. They seem to go off of sight and not smell, so why not take away their sight? This thing messes with the light around the person when they activate it. You press this little button here" she said, pointing to a button on the inside of the cloak, "and it'll start doing its thing. To any of us it'll only look like there's a slight distortion, like a blur almost but only if you really focus on it. The titans aren't the brightest though, so you'll be completely invisible to them. It's stretchy enough so that it can expand to cover your entire body when you push the button, then when you push it again it'll de-activate and retract back to where it was before. Pretty neat huh? It's only a prototype though, I haven't tested it against an actual titan yet. If it works, I could probably have another one ready in about...hmmm...a week? How's that sound?" Akari asked with a toothy grin. The girl was proud of her work and it showed.

Drake was walking along when suddenly the horses began rearing up as a huge feline appeared in the center of their group. Drake managed to hold onto the reigns, not falling off of the horse despite its panicked movements. Glancing around to make sure his scouts were okay, he noticed that about half of them had fallen onto their butts. Nimbly Drake hopped off of his own horse and landed on the ground before turning his attention to the fae before them. He recognised her immediately. "No need to panic, guys, she's not going to bite. Well, not much. Get back on your horses. Veera, you know where the walled city is, right? How about you take point for the moment? Give me, oh I don't know, five minutes. I'll be right with you" he stated. He hated the idea of sending Veera to lead towards the city given how uncertain she always seemed, but of all the scouts he led she was the one he trusted the most. She'd proven herself several times and she could keep focused on the objective when it was required; she was a natural leader in his eyes, really.

Alright, lets see if you can beat me this time he thought to himself. He didn't draw his sword, simply watching his opponent. Circling around her a little, he waited for a moment for her to jump. The moment she did, he rolled quickly to the side, but apparently she'd seen it coming for he felt her paws on his shoulders as he was forced to the ground. He hit the ground with a light thud. "Well, all you had to do was ask" he said, before quickly realizing what he'd said and causing his face to turn a bright shade of scarlet. Pulling himself together he summoned all of his strength and rolled the great cat off of him, before continuing the movement and turning the tables so it was he that was pinning her down. "You're going to have to be quicker than that, your highness" he said. Though Flame was his friend, Drake knew when formalities were in order, and in his mind they were almost always needed unless she insisted otherwise.

Tessa wandered along the boardwalk with her hands behind her back, humming in a carefree manner as she headed for the dining hall. Room. Whatever. Stopping on her way, she spotted a rather small, oddly shaped figure. "Griffin?" She recalled his name after a moment's hesitation, strolling towards mysterious person. "Hey, how's it going today?" She asked cheerfully, clasping her hands tightly behind her back. For whatever reason, Tessa always felt the need to hug Griffin whenever she saw him. She always mentioned to withhold herself, sensing that perhaps the other person didn't like their personal space to be invaded.

Zack bolted along the walkway, certain that he was going to be late. Tessa would never let it go if he was. They always had lunch; always. He skidded to a stop before the dining room and halted, trying to catch his breath before entering. He scanned the room, taking a small breath of relief before settling down at one end of the long bar. It was then he noticed Hunter pestering Adelina. "Hey man, lay off her. At least she helps out around here." He commented, leaning on his elbow and resting the side of his face in his palm. "It wouldn't kill you to actually make an effort to do something."
Hunter didn't scare him like he scared Tessa. The man was one of confrontation, and while Zack didn't seek it out, he didn't shy away when it presented itself. Like a challenge, he decided as he watched through half lidded eyes, waiting for the other man to make a move.

Veera reined in her horse, managing to keep her seat as the leopard attack their leader. He seemed rather calm about it, and ordered her on ahead. She grimaced for a moment before smoothing her facial expression into one of nothing. "As you command, sir. Squad, resume formation around me." She commanded, turning her horse while keeping one eye on the leopard. Although the two never involved outsiders in their little battles, she wanted to be ready for the day when they did.
"Follow my lead." She commanded the remainders of the squad before turning and kicking her horse into a gallop. Most likely Drake wouldn't catch up with them until they reached the city, and while she hated to wait and put the rest of the team in danger, she knew that if she spearheaded the raid itself, it would be a disaster. She simply wasn't the tactictional type. And that was fine by her. She left Drake and his leopard princess behind, her eyes set ahead and her brow furrowed in concentration, as if by staring hard enough she would be able to see the giant wall that kept everyone in, and them out.

At the sudden appearance of the leopard, Gale tighten the reins to keep himself from falling off it. It wasn't long afterwards that his horse had calmed and replanted it's front two legs back on the ground. One his horse was completely settled, he noticed that while the leopard had pounced on their leader, it wasn't attacking him. Weird, but as weird as it was Drake had still calmly ordered Veera to take point towards the castle, which she did. Thus there wasn't much else that Gale could do other than to follow behind Veera.

As Drake pinned her to the ground, a flash of light enveloped the leopard before it faded to show, not a leopard, but the fair face of a young fae woman. "Your highness? Please, you should know better than that." Flame said as she shoved Drake off of her and laughed slightly still laying on her back. Before Drake had time to get up however she rolled over and pinned him to the ground. Baring her teeth slightly. "As for you getting lucky. You might have a chance, if that wasn't what my father wanted. But I don't feel like being in a very cooperative mood today." Flame pretty much flirted with the man. She highly enjoyed doing that but she would shut anything down before it would start because she knew it was exactly what her father wanted and well... she didn't want to let him think that he could control her life. "Perhaps next time pretty boy." Flame said as she patted his face.

Soon after Flame got up allowing Drake to get up as well.
"Well it has been fun. See ya." She stated as she started to walk away, hips swaying and knowing she was looking good. "Unless you can offer something more fun then just hunting." Flame said over her shoulder offering Drake a wink. Surely that would make him blush more. It was almost cute when he blushed and got flustered. It was one of the best parts of her day when she did stuff like that to Drake cause of his reactions.

"No need for the formalities Akari." The king stated as the girl jumped and greeted her. That was one thing that his daughter got from him. He would rather be out in the field treated like anyone else than held too much higher and treated differently. That being said he knew the importance of good leadership and his role int his society, he didn't take it lightly. The king focused a lot on surviving while keeping as many others alive as possible. Yes he had a successor but Amber was still wild and unpredictable, not quite leader material yet, and with her no desire to find a mate yet, well.... that could cause issues.

Rhysand listened closely to what Akari was explaining to him with the cloak.
"That is very impressive Akari, since the fading of magic I didn't think achieving invisibility like that would be possible anymore. Good work." He complimented the girl, examining the cloak as she demonstrated what it did. However checking the time he realized it wasn't the best time for a field test. "Shall we head towards lunch soon and I will round up the new graduates there for some field training. They are both young, I am sure they will be there to eat, and it is easier than tracking them down in this city of ours." The king stated in a light hearted manner before heading out the door and towards the dining hall.

As he walked he passed one of the people he was looking for.
"Ah Tessa there you are. I could use Zack and your help today with some tests after lunch if that is alright. Akari here has made us some incredible new gear that we would like to test out." He told her before looking at Griffen. "You are welcome to join as us well if you wish. After all you never know what could happen when on the ground around here, some extra strength might be good." He told the boy. "Anyways this will not be until after lunch. I will see you both there I assume." He waved at them before continuing on.

"I don't have that kind of magic. Magic has been limited over the past few centuries and you know that." Adelina said as she did her best to stand up tall to Hunter, showing no fear or sign of backing down, though she wanted to make herself small and timid. "You can wait for your food like everyone else." She then stated once again to Hunter. That was when another man arrive to help her out, defending her. "Thank you young man." She said to him with a sweet smile before once again focusing on Hunter. "I guess if you really need something now I can get you an apple or something." She finally said as an excuse to get away from the possible arising conflict between the two men. She usually wasn't good at saying no to people, so why today? Perhaps she was just too stressed, her help didn't show up today, rumours said he died hunting the day before, so she had been trying to do all the cooking by herself that day, and perhaps that just put her on edge. Usually she would just make Hunter something quickly and be done with it, but today she didn't have time for that. As she reached for the fridge door to get the apple Adelina stopped as tears welled in her eyes. She was having a difficult time today, it was just all too much, but lunch was supposed to be served in half hour, and it was still nearly and hour before it would be done and now she had to deal with Hunter and the possible conflict between him and Zack too. It was all too much. Adelina wiped a tear from her eye and grabbed the apple, waiting to listen for a conflict before heading back out.

    Griffin's pov:

    griffin baner.png

He has been walking for some time thinking about titans when a woman came up to him. It was strange in of its self. No one ever came up to him and when they did they just wanted his name to think him for whatever he had helped them with. He never gave out his real one, he could not do that people would find out how ugly he was or something. He always responded with Griffin. He had to keep his distance. He could not do that to people, he could not let them get close. If people found out... He did not know how much longer he could put up with this if someone found out the real him. This woman knew his name, perhaps someone told her or something. Then she asked how to was. How was he? He was miserable all the time. He had to hide all the time. He never said much and when he did he liked to keep the mystery of himself a secret. He had no clue who this woman was or how she knew his name, but whatever. He never paid much attention to names anyways. He would met someone and for the most part never see them again. Then some man came up to them and said he need some help with something. It had something to do with testing something to do with some new gear or something. That was interesting. What could this new gear be? This man called the woman Tessa. What was with people today? He liked to keep his distance and in a manner of seconds there were three people right on top of him. If they go to close they might find out, nah it was to unlikely. This guy that wanted Tessa, Tessa herself and some strange woman that did not say anything yet. He guessed her name was Akari, because the man called her that. He walked to a tree and stood by it with his arms folded. He looked at Tessa. "It looks like you have to go to work." he said. He was a man of few words and liked it that way. Perhaps he could follow these people if nothing else he could hide in a corner in his animal form if need be.

    "That should do it."
A bottle lid could be heard snapping, a witches cauldron centered in a room with a girl standing over its edge holding a bottle. It had been around a week since she had closed herself into her study to develop a new potion to work against the Titans. "I'll just have to find a guinea pig to use it" She stepped away from the Cauldron, her feet clicking with the wood underneath her.

The girl with white hair had moved to a window and opened it, only to have flies swarm around her. There was around a dozen or two now buzzing their wings as they swirled around. She looked in shock and then lifted her arm up to smell the crevice between her shoulder and arm. A quick look of disgust and her face moving away completely was enough to show she did not smell well whatsoever.
"I guess I forgot to bathe again. It's only been two days hasn't it?" She looked to the calendar to find out it had been around a week since the potion had begun to be brewed.

A long sigh escaped her lips. Now that she thought about it, she only slept for two nights which is what gave her the impression of it being two days. Her hair was oily, her teeth slightly discolored, as well as her skin covered in stains. If she left the house now, people would definitely point out that she was the stereotypical witch. she snapped her fingers thrice and then held her fingers to point like a gun towards the side of her head. She released the gun and some magic was sparkled out to clean herself from such dirt. Once after that, she threw a small white ball out the window with the flies following it in haste.

"Okay, Olivia. Next time for sure practice proper hygiene while working. Titan's'll eat you but smelling bad offends people. We wouldn't want that noooo, that'd be rude." Her voice was completely sarcastic into talking with herself. Really all that stuff about hygiene just got in the way of research but people were so strict about such things.

She looked back to the Cauldron and then looked away, heading towards the door. Her gaze looked down at the bottle she was carrying.
"Now who is dumb enough to use this..." Really it wasn't a question. She already had her answer. "Stefano. Definitely Stefano. The guy is too easy to trick really. Well, time to go see the big lug."

Olivia placed the bottle in a ring to act as a holder for the potion before floating over to wherever Hunter was. If she knew him, and the time of day, he'd be begging for food from someone. If she had to guess, it would be the fairy girl. The poor girl didn't need to be pestered by him. Adelina's shouldn't have been too far. Nowhere was really that far in this small village. After all, they only had a finite amount of space to work with. Olivia hurried over there.

After arriving, Olvia could hear the voices from within. Things were going to get crazy given the people she heard. Olivia took it upon herself to walk in and enter the kitchen to where they all were.
"Oi, you all better be playing nice, at least for Adelina's sake.'

Hunter just kind of stood there for a moment. He'd been about to push the issue of food further when Zack had turned up, then when Adelina had offered to get him an apple to tide him over that witch chick he could never remember the name of had turned up and said he'd better not be causing any trouble. "Nah, there's no trouble here. Well, not unless this guy here keeps butting in. All I was after was some food and he just rocks up and decides to be even more of an ass than me, and that's saying something" he said, jerking a thumb in Zack's direction. "Besides, it's not like you don't crave trouble. You thrive on it, witch. Can't tell you the amount of times you've tried to pull a fast one on me, so don't make yourself out to be some kinda saint. The only one here even close to that would be Adelina, but even then that's only because her cooking is pretty darn good" the man said, defending himself like a boss.

Akari flashed a grin towards Tessa and Griffin as the king left. She was in a pretty good mood after finishing her invention, or at least making some good progress; she always was. The fact that the king himself had complimented her cloak in a big way certainly didn't take away from it either. "I sure could use the help. The more people I can test this thing with, the more accurate my results will be and the easier it'll be to make the necessary changes. I don't know about you two, but I like the idea of being able to hide from the titans. Oh, where are my manners" the girl said, before wiping her left hand on her shorts slightly and then holding it out first to Tessa and then to Griffin. Once the customary greetings were done, she retracted her hand. "Akari Hirano, best tinkerer in the village. If you guys ever need something, I'm your girl!" she exclaimed, before glancing in the direction of the king. "I really should be getting going though. If you want to help out, meet us at the training grounds after lunch! See you later!" Akari said excitedly, only moments before she raced off towards the king to follow him.

Drake did blush a little when Amber spoke to him like that. He couldn't deny that he found her attractive, but he wasn't entirely sure anything would ever become of them. As she was walking away, Drake remembered what he'd been told by the king. However, if he told her that it was specifically the king that had sent her back, she'd never go. "If you want something more fun to do, I've got a couple of ideas. You could always join me on my mission, we're supposed to go and scout out the walled city. Could be a little dangerous and exciting, and there might be a titan or two in the mix. I'm pretty sure your father would kill me if he knew I'd just invited you to that instead of sending you back, but what do you say?" the scout leader asked. He hated the idea of inviting Amber to a dangerous situation almost as much as her father did, but if she was interested in messing around with people she wouldn't go straight back to the village, so the safest solution was to take her with them. Besides, he was fairly sure he could handle a couple of titans. If he'd managed to do it at 15, he could sure as hell do it now.

Tessa shook Akari's hand with a bemused look. Do we get a choice in helping? I thought the king pretty much commanded it. Still, it would be good to show off what she could do. Then she wouldn't be stuck here while the others went out on raids and missions and tactical strikes. "Sounds like you have work to do." She turned to Griffin as Akari ran to follow the king, shrugging. "I guess I do. They did invite you too, after all. She let her hand rest on the 3D maneuvering gear strapped to her waist. "Although it's a bit more nerve wracking testing out new gear instead of just fighting." She had a sudden image of crouching in front of a titan, only to have the cloak fail and her position be revealed just as the titan reached down to wrap its fingers around her waist. She shuddered and turned away from Griffin, schooling her face into a less frightened expression.
"So, I'm supposed to meet Zack for lunch. You could always come with. I gotta go tell him about the training grounds, anyway." Even though she knew, deep down they wouldn't be facing anything too challenging just yet, she still felt the little tremor of fear that always appeared when the thought of battle came into her head. With a soft smile at Griffin, she turned and headed towards the dining hall. If he wanted to come with, she was sure he would follow.

Opening the door, she blinked at the sudden dim of the room, letting her eyes adjust to the contrasting light levels. Spotting Zack slouching at the bar, she sighed and walked over to him, hands on her hips as she heard Hunter speak. Totally ignoring the other people, she smacked Zack across the back of the neck. "Starting fights?" She asked demandingly.

Zack blinked as Olivia walked past, but didn't make any comment. At least if Hunter started something, he didn't have to take the sole blame. Then again, the other man seemed to be content with the offer of food, any food. Zack wanted to reply, but the door swinging open cut him off as he immediately sensed his impending doom. He hunched over as tiny footsteps crossed the room, waiting for the pain that was sure to come as Hunter finished speaking. Sure enough, Tessa smacked him across the back of his neck, inducing a stinging in the skin as he turned, shame faced to look at his much smaller friend.

"Starting fights?" She asked him, hands on her hips and a frown on her face. Shit. "No." he muttered, rubbing the back of his neck to ease the sting of her slap. "I was just trying to help Adelina."
Tessa glanced at the mentioned girl and her frown deepened. Uh oh. Zack quickly scooted over as Tessa pulled herself up to the bar, glancing from Zack on her one side to Hunter on the other. She waved distractedly at Olivia before crossing her arms over her chest. "You both are stupid." She announced.n "You." She turned to Zack. "Adelina didn't ask for help. And you made her cry. So apologize to the lady." Just as Zack opened his mouth, her eyelid twitched. "I'm sorry, Adelina." He said quickly, sitting up straight.
" And you, quit being a bully." She pointed one finger at Hunter."More girls would be interested in you if ninety five percent of your dick didn't disappear into your personality. Leave Adelina alone, or else I'll find a way to put laxative in your food."

"Hi, Olivia, Adelina." She greeted the girls. Zack pressed his forehead against the table for the inevitable Hunter blow out. It appeared Tessa had lost her fear of the other man, somewhere on the board walk here. He turned his gaze and noticed her hand clenched in her lap. Or maybe not.

Veera was riding along, trying to enjoy the horse ride because there was nothing else her writer could really think of doing. She felt uneasy, and it wasn't just because Drake had put her in charge, or wasn't yet here. No, this was the uneasy that had helped her survive longer then her thirteen years. This was the uneasy that told her there was a titan somewhere nearby, and she urged her horse on, not daring to slow. If the creature was indeed close, and had already sensed them, it would only be a matter of time before the monster burst from the trees and tried to scoop them up. She glanced back at the scouts behind her, wondering if she should let them in on her intuition. It wasn't like she had a reputation as a leader to worry about. She held up a hand, using the signal that indicated they needed to be wary (because this writer doesn't know what that might be) before dropping her hand to her 3D maneuvering gear, making sure everything was in place. Of course, she could be wrong. She hadn't been before, but at this point, she would rather be wrong for the first time, then deal with whatever might be coming her way.

And that's when eight titans, none of them more then sixteen feet, burst from the trees.

Apparently Akari Hirano, was the best tinkerer in the village. Akari wanted there help with something. 'The more people I can test this thing with, the more accurate my results will be and the easier it'll be to make the necessary changes. I don't know about you two, but I like the idea of being able to hide from the titans.' For all he knew that thing could turn his clothes invisible, then they would see the real him he was not going anywhere near it. Anything that would send people running from him he did not like. He would put it on and the next thing you know ugly was looking at them thanks, but no thanks. He did not need that. He somewhat wondered what elce she could make but said nothing on it. Akari wanted a hand shake, yea no thank you there was several things he did not like people getting close to him and people touching him. Maybe by some odd thing they would be able to feel the ugly. Akari left following the man the left earlier. Tessa said, 'So, I'm supposed to meet Zack for lunch. You could always come with. I gotta go tell him about the training grounds, anyway.' The trainning grounds seemed kind of interesting. He wathed as Tessa tremored of fear. Could somehow see through his outfit his protection from all those that looked down on him? If she could somehow see him he could not say that he blamed her. It was the choice of many when they saw the real him. They scream, run, hide or die or and commination of them. Then then decided to head to some café or something. He entered and found the darkest corner he could. He stood in a spot that so he could leave easy. Looking around the room he spotted some people he had met earlier. If need be he could sneak out go back in the café in his animal form and remain unseen. There was sum people that he had no clue who they were. More people he let out a sigh. Maybe he would have a better chance watching from somewhere else. The roof sounded like a good place.

While his senses weren't as tuned as Veera's, Gale too had an uneasy feeling as they continued on their path. His horse was the second furthest one out, only behind Veera. Veera had signaled them to be careful, which only strengthened the uneasiness that he was experiencing. As he continued to ride, Gale took in a deep breath to try and calm his nerves. It had worked for a second, but almost immediately afterwards six titans had appeared from the trees.

The tremble that had followed after the six titans had simultaneously placed their massive feet on to the ground had cause the horses to scatter, though that wouldn't be much of an issue for them at this point. The moment that the titans had appeared, Gale wasted no time using his 3D Maneuver Gear to get to the nearest tree for one of the titans had started to reach out for him. The red haired teen had managed to get away from the titan, but his horse wasn't so fortunate for it had been knocked aside.

Gale wouldn't let the loss of his horse be in vain, for with the position that he now had, he had a perfect shot at the nape of the titans neck. With both blades drawn, he pushed himself off of the tree he was clinging to via his maneuver gear and descended towards the titan. Once he neared the kill range, he begun to spin around to give his strike more force and it cleaved through the nape, taking a chunk of meat off the titan as he landed back on the forest ground.

His stop on the ground was short lived as flew towards another tree with the aid of his Maneuver Gear. Again making sure that he was out of reach of the titans, he looked down at the ongoing battle. As to be expected of the scouting regiment they were able to hold their own against titans. However they still couldn't get careless, which was exactly what Frank had done. Frank had successfully managed to cut the ankle tendon of the titan, bringing it down. What he didn't do was move out of the way, for his attention was focused on something other than the now falling titan. Frank must've thought that it would've landed in a different spot than were it did, cause where it did land was right on top of him. Instantly crushing and reducing him to a stain on the grass.

Seeing his comrade be reduced to nothing more than a stained had filled Gale with rage towards the titan responsible for his demise. Once more Gale had pushed himself off the tree he was on and sent off towards the titan, this time just more gas to lessen the time to get to the titan and dealt a swift blow to its nape as well. After that blow, Gale needed to eject the blades that were currently in his grip and switch them out for one of the reserves that were attached to his side.

Veera didn't panic as she felt the footfalls of the titans, and her horse neighed nervously. She reached to her left side and grabbed the flare gun that was always attached to her hip, raising it up into the air and firing the purple flare. As the smoke fired up into the blue sky she stood up in the saddle, finding her center and using it to balance as the horse galloped onward. She heard the scream, and the sickening sound of a body being crushed. Veera didn't look behind, didn't check to see who was no longer riding.
"Spread out!" She yelled, firing her 3D maneuvering gear and caught on the nearest tree. As she was yanked backwards, she spun, the silver of her blades sliding out as she was pulled over the head of the second titan. In the back of her mind she noticed with satisfaction that Gale had already taken one down. Good.

She cut the line on the right side of her body, leaving the one on the left. It pulled her body into a spinning whirlwind as she curled up her legs to avoid being caught in the line. She used the force of the spinning to cut into the back of the titan's neck, cutting a large chunk out of its neck with a sickening, yet successfully sounding crack. As the brown colored titan fell, she fired the device again, zooming towards the next tree and out of a reaching titan's grasp. Using the tree, she turned, pressing her feet against the trunk before rebounding towards the titan, cutting a branch from the tree out of her way.
Seconds too late, she could only watch as Carla was yanked out of the air, the titan grabbing the wire that nearly could have saved her life. The woman's shriek was still echoing in her ears as the body was chomped in half. Blood splattered the air, spots of it landing on Veera's hair and face as the titan swallowed the second half of her comrade before turning a grinning face to Veera.

"Not today, Satan." She whispered as she redirected the hook to dig into the side of the titan's face; a risky move. As she swung around the back and released the mechanisms, causing her to free fall, she landed on the back of the titan's neck, stabbing down with a scream of anger. It took two criss crossing blows before she cut into the core, and the titan began to fall. Veera jumped up, pressing the mechanisms once more to hook into the tree above her. As she hung in the air, she noticed a single figure below the falling body of the titan, yanking erratically at his foot, trapped underneath a fallen branch. The branch that she had cut out of the way in order to save Carla.
"Bill! MOVE!" She screamed, cutting the line and dropping to the ground faster then was safe. Even as she was falling, Bill's eyes looked up to meet hers, before being completely covered by the titan's body as it crushed to the ground. She had the presence of mind to start the 3D maneuvering gear, hooking onto a tree near where Gale had stood. As he pulled himself back to battle, she rested on the tree, standing with her feet spread in a battle ready stance. The only survivors besides herself were Gale and Susanne. She loaded her flare gun, and fired it once more, purple again. If Drake didn't respond to this, she would fire blue, and get them the hell out. Leader she may not be, but she didn't want anyone else to die today.

That was before two more titans appeared. Noticing at the last second, she felt her line yanked back as one of the titans, grinning maniacally. She cut the wire, which was on her right side, and fell to the ground, rolling a few feet before standing up. The two titans, not more then twelve feet, approached her as she gripped her swords with renewed purpose. She might be at a disadvantage, but she wasn't out, not yet.

The idea of making her father flush with anger made Flame very happy, on top of that there would be titans to fight. "Alright fine, you still aren't getting lucky though." Flame told Brake as she turned back to him. "Perhaps we should-" Flame stopped mid sentence as her Fae ears twitched. She couldn't quite fully hear exactly what was going on in the distance but she knew that it didn't sound good. "Lets go!" She demanded before shifting in an instant to her leopard form. She didn't give Drake a chance to respond before taking off herself, towards the sound that she had heard.

It didn't take long before Flame arrived at the cause of the noise. Well Drake did promise titans but this was a bit much. Three people were already dead, three still fighting. Well this was not good. As she was close enough to do something Flame switched back to Fae form, shooting her 3D Maneuver gear at a tree behind one of the twelve foot titans that had recently appeared. Her swords made a clear cut through the nape of it's neck. Before it could fall on top of one of the scouts, Flame shot her maneuver gear the other way and flew back kicking the titan so it fell another direction.

As she made contact with the titan she let her maneuver gear go and fell with the titan, jumping off right before it hit the ground.
"It is going to be alright." Flame shouted to the remaining scouts. She wasn't fast enough, she let some of them die, damn it, but twas the way of life here. She wouldn't spend to much time mourning there lost, after all she didn't have time to mourn her own mothers loss due to having to continue on with their life as she was told. She wasn't going to mourn the loss of the random people. It may have seemed cold but so many people died here that she didn't have time to mourn the loss of every single person that they came across.

Flame didn't take much of a break on the ground before moving onto the next Titan that was running towards Gale. She transformed to a leopard for quicker and swifter movement as she dodged around titans, dead titans people and anything else in order to get towards Gale and the titan behind him. She used her long claws to scratch at it's ankle causing it to stumble only slightly before turning to Flame.
"Hey there big guy." She said as she flashed, becoming fae once more and shooting off into a tree high above. She circled around in the tree's keeping the titans attention on her, and when he was nice and confused she dropped down taking the appropriate chunk out of the nape of the titans neck. With that one down and Gale safe, Flame couldn't help but steal a glance to see if Drake had made it there and if he was safe.

Adelina hardly paid much mind to everything that was going on. She couldn't dare to think of anything besides her cooking. She had to get it done and she needed to keep her mind off of Issac, her helper. Adelina did wonder over to the end of the kitchen in order to give Hunter his apple. She heard someone call out to her, to say hi, but Adelina barely glanced up. "He didn't make me cry, it is nothing. Zack was just trying to help." Adelina said. "I am just upset cause well.... the loss of Issac has me a bit shaken and a bit behind with my prep. I guess I am just stressed. Don't worry about me." Adelina told them before turning back to her work. "Lunch will be shortly." She continued to inform them.

King Rhysand walked into the dining hall and sat down at a table. Though there seemed to be a lot going on around the kitchen, he knew better than to stick his nose into everything. He would just wait for lunch and let those people sort it out themselves. Rhysand didn't have much left to do until after lunch so he looked over at Akari searching for a topic to speak about. He had no idea what he was supposed to talk about to this person so he just looked at her. "So are you working on anything else interesting?" He asked trying to make conversation.

Akari sat down on the opposite side of the table to the king. She was a little surprised neither of the two they'd run into had followed, but she could deal with it. "Heck yeah I am. I was thinking of messing around with the gas canisters used for the 3DMG when the scouts get back to see if I can't reduce the rate they burn through their gas without reducing the propulsion they get from the release of it. Then it got me thinking of what they do when it runs out. Their mobility is considerably lower when that happens, but I was thinking that if they had some way to get higher it'd help a lot. But without gas they can't do that right? So what I was considering was making a pair of gauntlets for each of the scouts to wear when they go out on a mission, and then by moving their hand in a certain position it'll cause a tiny hook to fire. It won't go very far, it'll be only about this distance" Akari explained, holding her hands less than a metre apart to show the distance.

"It'll be pressurized normally so that the moment they do the movement it releases that pressure and then retracts when they do the movement again. The hook will stab into whatever surface they're facing at the time, then when it retracts it allows them to re-position their hand to repeat the process. Effectively, it'll give them the ability to climb walls, buildings, trees, heck even titans if they wanted to. It'll just take a bit of practice, then they'll be flying up walls like they didn't even need the 3DMG to begin with!" the girl exclaimed excitedly. It wasn't hard to tell she liked talking about her ideas, not when she did it as much as she did. "That's the theory, anyway. Putting it into practicality might take a bit" she added with a quick laugh.

"Wasn't planning on it" Drake said quickly, before he heard the sound of a flare being fired. Spinning around quickly, he saw a purple flare in the sky. Purple...that meant an emergency. That wasn't good in the slightest. He quickly ran over to his horse and got on top of it. "Amber, wait here, I'll be b-" he said, shortly before the princess turned into her animal form and dashed away. Spurring his horse onwards, he began hurrying in the direction the flare had come from, the worst case scenario already playing out in his mind as he approached the area quickly.

Well, it wasn't the worst case scenario when he'd gotten there, but it was by no means good. Out of the seven scouts that were there counting himself, there were only four standing. Knowing what his scouts were like, that meant that they were dead. The princess was fine from the looks of it and fighting fiercely, but gods...three of them were dead. Plenty of titan corpses around, with only four standing. Since when were titans co-ordinated enough to plan an ambush of this magnitude? "What the hell happened here?" he asked. The friendly tone he'd been speaking to them in before was gone to be replaced with an incredibly serious, demanding tone. He'd lost three people, three comrades, three of his friends. He should have been with them. It'd been a mistake to send them off on their own. They were good, but he was supposed to be their leader..how could he lead if he was going to send them off to their death?

Drake gripped his dual swords tightly and fired a hook straight at one of the titans. It was too late for Frank, Bill and Carla, but he could still save the others. He would save the others. The hook stuck straight into the shoulder of the nearest titan and immediately Drake dove off of the horse and began retracting his hook slightly, swinging straight towards the titan. He let it go loose a little as he neared the titan, before swinging underneath its huge armpit and upwards on the other side, before de-activating his 3DMG's hook and causing the device to snap back towards him as Drake launched himself skyward. He got a good vantage point from the air for a few seconds, taking in the positions of the four titans, only moments prior to gravity taking hold and dragging him downwards. The leader of the scouts hurtled downwards at a frightening speed, and as he neared the titan he spun with both of his blades, cutting straight through the nape of the titan and slaying it.

Stopping spinning for a moment, he quickly got his bearings and fired the hook straight into the front of the neck of the titan. He immediately retracted once more, flying straight towards the titan. Lazily the titan nearest to Gale swung his arm out, to which Drake responded by de-activating his 3DMG just a little too late and slammed straight into the titan's hand. The titan then closed his hand around Drake and began trying to crush him, but the leader wasn't beaten. He stuck one of his swords into the inside of the titan's hand and stood it horizontally, preventing the titan from closing his hand entirely for the moment. He took a moment to catch his breath, and then he leaped upwards, giving his sword a swift kick and sending it spinning alongside him. The scout caught the blade in mid-air just as the titan finished closing his hand and swung at him once more, but the creature was too slow. Drake flipped himself over in midair and then fired his hook straight into the titan's eye. The titan recoiled, temporarily half-blinded as his opponent dashed along his arm using the hook to pull him forward. The hook then snapped back into the device that shot it as Drake got near and then swung one of his blades with a mighty blow, embedding it slightly in the front of the titan's neck. He then dove off of the titan and held tightly onto the sword, using it as a mobile handhold that went around the back of the neck as its wielder did, before Drake used his other blade to slice apart the chunk of flesh that served as the lifepoint of the titan, killing it.

With that done, the leader of the scouts fired his hook straight at the tree that Gale and Veera had used before and he himself landed neatly on the branch. "Keep fighting!" he yelled out, as though people weren't going to fight without the order. While he was getting his breath back, he looked forward at one of the titans approaching Amber and saw that Susanne had spotted the same titan and was headed towards it by foot. What was she doing? Sacrificing mobility like that was not a good idea, she should be using the 3DMG. Then he saw it. Dangling from her was a crumpled up set of 3DMG, presumably damaged from a titan attack. And she was still attacking. Drake couldn't be prouder.

Unfortunately, pride did nothing as the foot of the titan slammed straight into Susanne, sending her crashing away and into the base of the tree that Drake was at. He didn't need to look down to know that impact would've been fatal. The blood splatter on the ground a bit away as well as the sickening crunch had been more than enough of an indication. Bloodlust filled Drake's bones, and without a word he held up the part of his 3DMG that fired the hook and aimed it straight at the titan's skull.

Shooting the hook, it slammed straight into Drake's adversary's head and no sooner had that happened than the leader was flying straight at it, the anger evident in his face and easily heard in the triumphant roar he let out as he soared towards the titan. He landed on the top of its bald head and detached the claw, before driving both of his swords straight into the titan's skull. The titan made no noise, but it did move its hands up to stop Drake, and that was what the warrior had been waiting for. Pulling the swords out, he leaped up and above the arms and swung both blades down beside him, cutting off both hands and leaving stumps to batter him with. Following up the movement, Drake stabbed one sword into the skull and then allowed himself to fall forward, letting his feet hand off of the handle of the blade as he released a vicious slash that cut the nape of the titan clean off.

As the titan's corpse began falling, Drake quickly got himself up and onto the skull, pulling out his blade and glancing around to make sure everyone else that had been alive a minute ago still were. The corpse hit the ground with a thump and created a huge dust cloud. Everyone looked fine for the moment, but he was aware of how quickly that could change. Turning and glaring straight at the titan, he took aim with the hook and prepared to fire. If nobody ended the one remaining titan, he was going to end it in a way that would be bloody and gruesome enough many may be frightened of that side of him, he was sure of it.

Drake arrived. Of course he did, he always did. If nothing else, he was reliable. Veera had reevaluated her position after Drake had taken out three of the titans, including the one that had started towards her. Now only one remained, and as she ran towards it, trying to formulate a plan in her mind, her eyes darted to Susanne's body. Oh Susanne. The girl's body had been crushed against the tree, her back bent at an awkward angle, her eyes staring up at the sky. At least her last vision had been that of freedom. Determination filled Veera, and with a growl she launched herself into the air, sending the single hook she had remaining, into the titan's chest. As it pulled forward she was yanked closer, nearly losing her balance as she flew towards the titan.

Readying her double blades, she braced herself against the titan's stomach, leaping off before it had the chance to grab her, and grinning wickedly as its hand slammed into its own abdomen. The attack didn't seem to really phase it, even though its body bent nearly in two. But then again, she wasn't sure if she could believe that titans felt pain. As it straightened, she detached the hook and let it reattach into its face, swinging up and resting on its shoulder. Staring into its eyes for a moment, she tried to find a spark of life, of any kind of humanity. All that returned her gaze was the lifeless look of a zombie as it reached for her one against. She ducked and ran along the shoulder to the back of the neck, detaching the hook and slashing as she ran. "I don't think so." She hissed, digging in the metal of her blades deep before yanking out. She remained on the titan as it went down, bracing herself for impact by bending her knees. It still jarred her when the titan landed, and she hopped off, ignoring the quivering in her legs as she whispered for her horse, pressing her face into the neck of the animal and breathing in the familiar scent to calm both her emotions and her adrenaline. In the back of her mind, she saw Bill's face staring up at her, and she squeezed her eyes shut.

    It's all my fault.

As expected, they were arguing over something stupid. She knew of something that might get them on a different subject entirely. Although Stefano called her out, she ignored him. It wasn't worth the effort to amuse him right now. That would just end up in more termoil for the fairy girl. Although she was a witch, she couldn't agree with his rebuttal on her nature. However she was more witchl-like and wicked to him of all people only because it was far too easy to pick on him and use him for her own bidding.

"Alrighty then, how about a competition for the both of you. I know you both like to battle it out and I just developed a new potion so you both can test it out and compete at the same time." She grinned over at the both of them. There was enough for two really and perhaps this would get them to stop thinking about food entirely as well as settle the blights they had with one another.

"This potion is meant to make it so Titans don't notice you at all. You blend in and you will smell like them so they won't attack you and you could strike them as much as you like without any resistance. How about you two go a kilometer away from the ground, drink the potion, and then whoever comes back first is the winner. I'm sure though, Stefano here will win." This was her way of buttering up Hunter to actually attempt this as well as give Zack to prove himself and not lost to Hunter. However, what they didn't know, including Olivia herself was that the Potion was a failure and had the opposite effects of what she originally intended. A rare failure on her part. She put the bottle on the table and moved over to the other girls.

"Hey Tessa, hey Adelina. Its been a while. I guess I was in my lab for a week now. I hope I haven't missed much. Hopefully next time I actually keep track of time and recall to eat and drink. I'm just glad Eve remembered to feed herself. Sigh." She sighed in he own dismay about her poor self-keeping. As for Eve. every witch was given an animal, like a spiritual partner as they grew up. In this case, Olivia had a ferret as her partner. The little one was smart and loving but was also aware of not to bother Olivia while she was in invention mode.
