Akari shook her head in disbelief at Griffin's words, but as the king went to intervene she did decide to drop it, at least as best as she could. Everyone moved into a line and awaited her instructions. Here she was being waited on in a position of power, to an extent. Would her parents be proud of how far she'd come? Shrugging off the thought, she walked over to the side of the field and grabbed the cloak that I'm assuming was there, before walking back over to the line of people. "Alright, first you have to hold out your arms" she said to Tessa. She waited until that was done, and then simply dumped the cloak into her arms. "Now, put this cloak on. It should bend the light around you to an extent so that effectively you're invisible" Akari instructed. It dawned on her that the others would probably be expecting something to do, but what was there to give them? "Since this piece of equipment makes the wearer invisible, I want you to all practice looking like a ninja. If I can see any of you, you've failed. Okay? Go. I'll come get you when it's your turn" the genius instructed.

****, Flame was stabbed. She was stabbed and it was his fault. Getting a little closer, Drake hurled one of the 3DMG swords straight at one of the assailants. It didn't hit them, but instead landed nearby them. Using his remaining hook he flew at them at an angle, and as he got nearby them he kicked the sword up so that he sent it spinning straight at one of the attackers as the scout leader landed on the ground, skidding to a halt. As the blade spun towards the male, Drake tossed the other sword high into the air, before firing the hook of his 3DMG at it and latching onto the edge of the blade, something many had thought impossible to do. Drake wasn't finished though, indicated by him slamming his arm holding onto the hook downwards, causing the other sword to slam down at an incredible speed straight on top of the male.

Not too long after Gale had gone off in search of Veera and Flame he used in Maneuver Gear to launch himself up to up onto the rooftops. This would help him see what's going on below him much easier than before. His training back when he was a cadet, plus all the time he had to run away from other while he was a kid, really came in handy here as he swiftly moved across the rooftops.

After leaping onto a third building, he found both Veera and Flame, but not in the most ideal of situations. Flame was clearly holding her eye in pain while Veera had be injured in her arm. Drake had managed to arrive on the scene and handle the man who Gale could only assume had injured Flame. Their leader seemed to be in control of the situation with Flame as for Veera, the woman behind her, while clutching her stomach, had started to close the distance between the two. Gale quickly drew one of his blades and lept off the building he was standing on. His target was the woman planning to attack Veera. His decent to the ground had hit his target, landing square on the woman's back and pinning her to the ground. As an extra measure of security, Gale moved his drawn blade to the neck of the woman he had pinned. "Veera!? What's going on here?"

Tessa ran her fingers over the silky material before swinging it around her shoulders, all dramatic like, and fastening it around her neck. She closed it around her body, and then looked down. "Whoa." Zack muttered, hands dropping to his sides as his mouth opening slightly.

"My body's gone!" She exclaimed, a slightly British accent appearing in her voice before it was once more subdued by the constraints of time, reality, and the RP rules. "This is really cool,
Akari." She said before pulling the hood up and vanishing. It was strange, she decided as she stepped to the side. Zack's eyes were still on where she had been, the last place he had seen her. He couldn't see her. She stepped to the side a bit more, creeping closer. His eyes didn't move, though she could see the skin on his arms where is rippled with goose bumps. So he could sense her, but only with his instinct.

She bit her lip, wondering how this would work with the titan before stepping back. She tripped, a small movement and inconsequential, except that the movement jolted her hair forward, and a few strands left the safety of the hood. I'll have to tie it back. She realized grimly as she righted herself and moved to complete
Akari's instructions. The cloak took some getting used to, but in no time she was moving gracefully. The only issue was her hair.

After Tessa disappeared, Zack felt himself shiver and the hair on the back of his neck stand up. Tessa must be creeping around. He decided, eyes flicking left then right. He couldn't see her, except...there. A lock of brown hair flashed, and was gone. He turned to look at Akari, wondering if she noticed too. He couldn't imagine she wouldn't say something, she was the sharpest of them all.

Veera bit her lip, trying to stem both the pain and the flow of blood with her hands. Drake had come in and saved Flame. Good. She was safe. But the woman rushing towards Veera had death in her eyes. She was going to take down whomever she could, she had nothing to lose. Shit. Veera thought weakly, sinking to her knees. Just then, like an assassin from the skies, Gale dropped on the girl from above, stopping her in her tracks. She was kind of surprised the other female's back didn't break, but chose not to question it. Gale knew some scary things, it seemed.

    "Veera!? What's going on here?"
He asked, holding the woman captive. She opened her mouth to speak, cut off by a tickle in her throat. She coughed once to clear it before starting again, her voice slightly groggy. "Um..she attacked me, and Flame. It was a distraction....I failed..." Again. Bill's face flashed through her eyes, and she blinked to clear the image of his broken body. "We have to get out of here." She tried to continue, her hand clasping tightly to her arm, for the little good it did her.

Awkwardly, she undid the belt underneath her 3D maneuvering device, wrapping it around her arm just above the wound and pulling it tight with her teeth. She would need a helping hand to clasp it, however.

Flame gripped her sword tight as Veera got stabbed. It looked like it was up to her in order to protect them, which was hard due to the cash over her eye taking away vision in one eye temporarily. Luck for her however she didn't have to deal with it just yet as Drake arrived to finish off the man who had attacked her. Shortly after Gale arrived finishing off the girl. "Come Veera lets get you out of here." Flame said as she helped fix up the belt Veera was trying to put on her upper arm. She then took her sword and cut a clean chunk of her shirt off, tying that around Veera's arm as well. "Okay now lets go."

"Murderer!" The voice of the old man called out.
"And they have a fae with them. They are no scouts. They are not from inside the wall at all!" The woman who had shown her breasts before commented, her arms crossed. That was until she saw her friends dead body on the ground. "You b*tch!" She cried out at Veera trying to charge forward before the older man stopped her.
"Arrest them all." He ordered, thirty other men and woman appearing around them ready to attack, and capture small group.

"We can't fight this many, not in our current state." Flame said trying to keep her breath steady, not be scared. Flame lowered her one hand from her face, holding her sword with both hands. "But we are not going to let them take us." Flame finished, staring down the leader. "Leave no one behind." With that Flame stepped in front of Veera. "If you guys can get her to safety then I will hold them off long enough for you to follow." Flame ordered as someone dove for her, yelling something about her heritage. Flame bared her teeth at him, she hated people judging her based on her race. Flame ignored the blood dripping from her face and pooling on the ground for the time being, charging forward and hitting the man in the arm, forcing him to fight with his left hand. Turning around she noticed that someone else was going after Veera. Flame shifted into a leopard and pounced on him, though the shift hurt more than normal, the leopards eye also bleeding and cut. Flame mauled the man but again didn't have time to kill him before she had to defend herself from someone else, this time shifting back to fae form and slicing at him, receiving a cut herself but not a deep one. She wasn't going to die here, despite how unlikely the odds seemed. She needed to sort out some words that the lady said and she needed to protect her people. "Hurry." Flame urged as she began to be overwhelmed.

"I want them all alive, her especially. We will reestablish the cities fear and belief of these creatures. If she is here there is probably more out there. We hunt at morning." The leader demanded but Flame was not going to be captured so easily. She transformed and shook her leopard head and got blood in one persons eye before running off. gaining some distance. Meanwhile a good portion of the people surrounding them went after Drake, after seeing what he had done to the man trying to kill Flame, they registered him as one of the greatest threats. The least amount of people went for Veera, but that was partly because there was a fae warrior jumping around protecting her, mildly injuring a good amount of men, but nothing they couldn't deal with and still fight. That left about a quarter of the group after Gale who they were struggling to assess. The priorities however were clear. The two seemingly strongest. The Fae, and the man who seemed to be their leader.

    Griffin's pov:

    griffin baner.png

The king came over and told them to stop talking. That it was not getting them anywhere. This was not true everything had a reason or something. What better way to find out about fae then to ask question about them. They were similar to skin-walkers in a way. Some could change just like he could. Then the king said that 'Few of us can fly and we are far from free.' Not free? that few could turn to a bird and fly. Maybe he was unique in that way. He could turn and fly away, but he preferred to keep what he could turn into a secret. To say in the shadows and turn if he ever had to. He walked to his staff on the ground picked it up and walked to a near by tree and watched the training. Lately it seemed that being in a mask was as much of a curse them being without the blue outfit. He looked over Akari she had some sort of cloak. It should bend the light around you to an extent so that effectively you're invisible. He was question the usefulness of this invention. Sure it would help with the titans from seeing you, but what about the other senses? The titans probably had a strong sence of smell and even if they did not surely the titans would be able to smell you regardless. Maybe if you had that cloak on and some sort of smell away thing together it would be better for fighting the titans. Then he turned to start to watch Tessa first and what would happen. She put on the clock and disappeared. He did not know where she was, but then he closed is eyes. He could hear her move and first, but then lost her after that. He opened his eyes looing to the spot her could hear her from last. It was off from were Zack was looking, but he was sure she moved since then. If he turned to one of his animals could probably find her rather fast. That would involve revealing what he could turn into so he put the idea aside. Then a bit off from where he was looking he could see floating hair. So he was right that she move. One could not just use one sense, but all of them. Why was he doing this? It did not really matter. He was probably better off throwing himself to the first titan he saw.

"Get out of here, now!" Drake yelled to his friends and comrades. It wasn't a request, but an order. He parried a strike of one of the guards' swords with his own blade, before responding with a swift kick, sending the man stumbling backwards. He could have taken the opportunity to finish the man off, but just as he was about to strike he heard the unsheathing of another blade. Drake spun around and prevented the attack with a swing of his blades, before dodging and rolling to the side to avoid the attack. "If you even think of hurting them, I swear with god as my witness that I will cut down every last one of you" the man said through gritted teeth, bloodrage in his eyes. As one of the guards broke away from the mass around him and went after Flame, Drake hurled his blade at his enemy's feet, causing the blade to stick into the guard's foot as he yelled out in pain. Rushing over, the leader of the scouts swung the flat side of his sword at his opponent's skull, knocking the guard out as he ripped his sword out of his foot and turned to face the onslaught of attacks being directed at him. He had to keep them as focused on him as he was able to, to give the others a good chance of survival. He wasn't going to lose another soldier.

"Okay okay, you can take the thing off now" Akari stated, looking slightly unamused at the brown lock of hair and its owner enjoying it just a little too much. While it was amazing that the thing worked, it was still only a prototype and needed more adjustments. One of which was the weight of the cloak, or the clunkiness rather. Maybe it was just Tessa in particular, but Akari had noticed the time it'd taken to get used to it. Movement against the titans was the only advantage they really had, so it was one of the most important factors.

Tessa shrugged out of the cloak and handed it to Akari before tossing her hair back. "That's pretty cool." She complimented the other girl. "But don't the titans find us by smell too?"

Zack watched the exchange, his mouth pulled down in a slight frown. "I wasn't going to say anything, but you really do need a bath." He commented towards Tessa; his heart wasn't in the sarcastic response as he considered the implications of the cloak. And what it could do in the wrong hands.
"That could get a lot of the wrong people hurt if someone with bad intentions got a hold of it." He pointed out, thinking of one person specifically.

Veera stumbled to her feet after Flame helped her with the tourniquet and bandage. It was a temporary solution to a very serious problem. Her arm throbbed, and her fingers tingled as the circulation was cut off, making it impossible to hold a sword in that hand. She switched to her other, awkwardly handling the weapon as she pulled her arm in close to her body. "Go after Flame. They want her the most. Get her out." She said through gritted teeth to Gale as she turned to Drake. There wasn't much she could do without getting in the way, but she managed to stick her leg out and trip a scout running by before stabbing him with the sword. The world spun for a moment, then righted itself. She was not weak enough to go down without a good fight.

She prepared her body and ejected the hook from her maneuvering gear, swinging forward and slashing with most of her remaining strength, decapitating a second scout before releasing the hook from its hold in the wall. The awkwardness of only having one functional line left in her gear, besides her injury, sent her crashing to the ground. She rolled with the force of the fall and ended up back on her feet, sword held in front defensively. "Come at me, bitches." She hissed, eyes narrowing.

He signed as some girl wanted his help. Someone always wanted something. He quickly helped and cleaned all the dishes. "Dishes are done. I think I need to be at the scout meating but I'll be back latter." The person was going to make him late for the meating. He left quilky making his way to the place he needed to be when there was information about the fae reviled. Someone turning into an animal and some fighting going on. Something about the king wanting them captured and he didn't even do anything. He stood ready to run defend or fight at a moments notice. What did these people all do. Someone wanted everyone to protect this other person. Why?

    Karen's pov:

She had left Kaynta days ago. She was unsure if it was four days or five. It could have been more for all she knew. She had lost count after the third day. When she left Kaynta she had he arrow quiver full to the brim. All she had took with her was her weapons her 3d maneuver gears and some thing to start a fire. She also had something to make any water she found on her trip drink-able. The drinkable container she had was all but on its last use. She had left Kaynta with enough supplies to last a week or so. She could eat and drink on the go. She was by no means as good as a cook as Adelina, but she was able to get by so far. She could sleep in the trees just fine. She was in a forest in a unknown location. Her little trip to this forest was somewhat not at all that interesting in any way. She had gone off to find a destroyed town or anything. She just ended up finding nothing. The one thing that was for sure was there was nothing in this direction. Well that was if you counted a forest as nothing. There was no town no titans nothing but endless trees. She looked at her arrow quiver the supply of arrows was getting low. She continued to walk in the forest to she came to some sort of winding river. She looked at her reflection. Her face was smudged with dirt and mud. Her cloths clothes were all different colors from the days of wearing them. Her blue top looked a darker blue. The gold rim looked brown. She then looked to her hair. Her once blond hair was now a brown color and was tangled and just a mess. In short she looked bad. She took a look at her supplies. Her matches and water tablets were all but gone. She guessed she should head back to Kaynta. She could not stay out there forever. She came across some animal running in the woods. Taking out she bow she killed it. She then cut it up and carried it with her. She made her way to kaynta a tree she knew all to well not far off. She made her way to the tree see a man with a pointy hat leaving. She made her up the stairs. The café was oddly empty. "Adelina" She called. "Are you here?" She then put her kill on a table. A little blood getting over the newly cleaned surface. Oh well Adelina was sure to forgive her. She wonder if she would recognize her after all she looked like a mess. She had never seen the café so empty before, perhaps everyone was out.

What was a possible small incident turned into on that was much larger as more people had arrived. Thier forces were more focused at the larger threats and while that didn't include Gale, there still wasn't room for him to lower his guard.

Using his other blade, he deflected an oncoming attack before punching the assailant in the face. This wasn't a situation that he wanted to be I , but the last thing that Gale wanted to do was to abandon his comrades. His fist tighten at both Veera and Drake's words. His hands were tied, there was little choice. Just agreeing to this left a bad taste in his mouth, but with the aid of his maneuver gear, he grabbed Flame and flew away from the area.

Adelina watched the boy she asked to help with dishes run through and leave. Adelina just looked down slightly sad, again feeling like no one actually cared to be around her, except Zack apparently. Adelina went back to chopping her vegetables for dinner that night, the hunters still hadn't come back with meat for that night yet, though that was fine they still had time before they had to be back, that was when she heard the cafeteria door open. No one should be there, it was between meals, nothing was being served and it was too close to after lunch for anyone to be searching for a midday snack.

Adelina heard her name being called, so washing off her hands she walked out into the dining area to see a carcass on one of the tables, causing blood to be on her nicely cleaned dinning area. Adelina sighed, not looking forward to the extra work that cleaning up the mess would cause.
"Karen good to see you back safe, we were all worried." Adelina said as she approached the girl, hiding perfectly the slight annoyance for the extra mess and distraction from her work when she was short handed as it was. Adelina looked perfectly happy and perfectly fine to Karen. "I am rather busy with dinner preparations, but whats up?" Adelina asked, trying to indicate to be fairly fast with the conversation.

The king almost rolled his eyes when someone else showed up. He was not giving them something to do as well. He had set up a training session to keep the two newest graduates out of trouble, expecting everyone else to either be working or know what to do themselves. He let Griffin come just because he was talking to Tessa and it seemed rude to pull her away without saying something to him. But then he followed and only caused trouble making King Rhysand regret inviting him. Everything was just getting to be a bit annoying and a bit much for the king to deal with right now, but he would because he was the king and that was his job. He didn't however say anything to the boy that joined them in the training arena. If he wanted to train he could do it on his own.

Flame heard Veera order to get her out. "No, you have to escape. I am healthy enough to fight. It will be fine! Just get yourself out!" Flame ordered, but it was too late, Gale had listened to Veera and grabbed her as he flew off with his 3DMG. "No, as an order from your princess we must go back and save them!" Flame tried to order Gale as blood from the cut over her eye dripped onto him. "I am your princess and have more authority than either of them." It was clear that Flame wasn't thinking logically but instead letting her emotions control her. She knew that they were outnumbered and she had to live for the sake of her people. But still they were leaving Veera behind, and more importantly Drake. She couldn't stand the thought of leaving Drake. Tears formed in Flames eyes as she stopped struggling against Gale so much, this was mostly for the sake of her head hurt from the attack and constant shifting and struggling would only make it worse.

As much as they tried the people were not fast enough to stop Gale and the Fae from escaping their graps. However they were still left with two and the echoing of the fae girl yelling to let her go back. With their entire team to focus on two people they could easily capture them now. When the two were finally captured the leader turned to the rest. "Keep them alive for now. Perhaps our fae friend will return for them and then we can rid the world of another of her kind, hopefully the last. Or perhaps we will be able to convince our friends here to tell us where they have been hiding out, right Veera?" The man asked as he walked over, ripped off Veera's makeshift bandage and stuck his finger in her wound to cause her as much pain as possible.

Veera should have been ready. Knowing that they considered death kind and just for children, she should have known what would await her as an adult, should she ever return. But she wasn't. She hadn't considered that they would be captured. The sting of the bandage being ripped off was nothing compared to the pain of the man's finger invading her wound. She didn't hold back her screams of pain as she attempted to double over, held upright only by the scouts on either side of her.

"You can suck my di-" She started when she caught her breath, only to be cut off by a slap from the scout on her right side.

"Stay silent, prisoner." The overenthusiastic soldier commented. "Your betters are talking."

Veera felt the blood pool in her mouth. She hadn't felt the slap, but rather heard it. Her ear ringing from the force, she turned to face the guardsman who had smacked her, and smiled, the blood running from her upper lip producing an eery film over her teeth. He didn't have time to stop her before she turned and spat the blood towards the face of the leader.

Akari laughed a little at Zack's comment about Tessa needing a bath, but stopped quickly. "Titans can go by smell, you're correct on that front, so something that renders you invisible isn't very useful without it. But, that's where this comes into play" Akari stated. She reached into her pocket and pulled out a small bottle of what seemed to be perfume. The perfume itself seemed to have a brown colouration to it. "I could spray this on you to get the full effect of titan immunity, but I don't think I will. See, we don't have to completely mask our scent to titans, just cover it with something else. Spray some of this on you and it's going to make you smell like pig poop for a bit. Not the most pleasant of smells, but it's better than being eaten by a titan. Speaking of shits and people that shouldn't be trusted with this, has anyone seen Hunter today? He was going to help me test something I was working on, but I haven't seen him" Akari asked.

Drake was fighting off three people at once. As each one lunged forward with an attack, he would parry the strike or dodge and respond with his own. He hadn't been killing though, rather he had been knocking guards unconscious with the flat side of his blades. At least six humans were unconscious around him, but he was feeling it. After that stunt he'd pulled earlier as well as the lack of resting since the titan attack earlier, he was tired and breathing heavily. As Flame and Gale left, despite Flame's protesting, Drake began looking for Veera to see if she had gotten out too. She hadn't.

As Drake prepared for another attack, he took a quick glance at the numbers around them. Despite their numbers being thinned a little, they still had him surrounded, and now that Flame and Gale had left they had even more to focus on the two that remained. Knowing they were defeated, Drake put down his 3DMG as a sign of surrender. He instead stood there and listened to what the supposed leader had to say. He felt his blood boil by the way he spoke of the fae, and it took a tremendous amount of willpower to not leap forward and begin fighting back once again when he saw him shove his finger into Veera's wound. It was the scream that really pushed him though. The scream of pain, of sheer agony being released by someone he thought of as a friend.

In an instant, he began the assault once more. One of the guards standing by him never saw it coming. Quickly, he elbowed the guard in the side and grabbed the man's sword. He rushed forward as two guards attempted to stop him from getting to the leader, but a nimble dodge saw both of them miss their attacks and the scout leader continued running forward. The leader turned just a fraction of a second too late, his own weapon getting knocked out of his hands as he was disarmed and Drake continued the swing of the sword. It got within an inch of the leader's neck in what was clearly intended as a decapitation when suddenly the sword dropped to the ground, only a second before Drake's unconscious body followed suit, hit from behind by an attentive guard that would surely be getting a promotion after finally putting down the troublesome swordsman.

"Sorry Adelina I thought I would be back sooner. I know I should have been back days ago. I was out looking for something. Anything that was interesting all I found was a large forest that went on forever." There was the smell of left over lunch still in the café stopping her from talking anymore. "Adelina, you do not happen to have any left over food do you? I cooked on the go, but your food is so much better then what I could get out there." She the looked at the meat on the table. "I brought you a gift, Adelina." Then she realized the blood was still on the table. "Oh sorry about the mess. I will get to that shorty. It nothing compared to the way I look anyways." She was trying to make a joke about how dirty she looked. She could not even thing about her smell. The one that was coming off her. After five days or so she got use to the smell so she stopped smelling anything other then her cooked food days ago. She felt bad for Adelina, but outside there was no plumbing. What was she sopost to do? Out there you just had to deal with what you came across. "Try not to breath to much." After being gone so long she wonder what the people have been up to. "So how are you?" Was anyone hurt while she was gone? "Is anyone hurt?" Having not used her magical healing voice in some time she wondered if she would have to use it. She looked around the empty café. "Everyone is out I am guessing. Where the welcome home party? The cake and the streamers. This will never do." She then let out a laugh. It was nice to be joking around with someone after being gone so long. "Where is everyone?" She was hoping they did not go out and training without her. She was to be back to go out looking with some others, but seeing as she go back late she was sure they were gone by now. She was hoping to go out with them oh well maybe another time. "How is the king doing? I missed everyone it is nice to see you."

Gale could hear Flame's pleas loud and clear and truth be told, he wanted to go back and help them if not try to help them escape too. Unfortunately the numbers weren't in their favor with this fight so as much As much as he hated the idea of running away while his friends basically sacrifice themselves, that was all that they could do. The sinking feeling in his stomach that had surfaced back in the forest had returned, but only stronger as they landed on a building quite a ways away from where Veera and Drake were last seen. That was Gale had decided to set Flame down for the time being. This whole incident was bringing back memories, memories Gale had hoped that he would never have to think about ever again.

"Yeah I have some extra food. Give me a minute." Adelina said as she walked to the kitchen and found some extra lunch and brought it out. "It might be a little cold but it is still edible." Adelina said as she set it down on a clean table. "Perhaps this would make a good dinner, the Hunters haven't come back yet and I could really use getting started on it." Adelina said, "And I don't know where everyone is. I mean outside of meal times everyone goes to their own jobs and do their own things. This area is usually closed during this time." Adelina explained. "As far as I have heard no one is injured but I mean I am just the cook worker. Though someone did die... Issac, my kitchen helper..... Anyways I have to go start on dinner. Thanks for the kill." Adelina said as she lifted it up and brought it to the kitchen for preparation.

Flame sat kneeling on the building knowing it was too late now. "They have them... I failed. Four people died and two were captured on my watch. I can't do this. I can't be a leader. I failed them..." Flame stammered as she looked down at the ground. "They recognized me... but not by my ears... how... they talked of another I looked like. Do you think..... Do you think it wasn't a titan that killed my mom. Dad always said I looked like her.... I can't..." Flame looked like she was about to cry. Turning around she shot off her Manouver gear and got herself outside the walls of the city before transforming into a leopard. She looked back once to make sure that Gale was following and she wasn't going to lose him too before taking off towards the city, she had to see her father. She couldn't let Drake be taken and not lead an assult to get him back, and she needed to know the truth on her mother. Then there was Veera. She didn't really know the woman all too well but she had done her best to try to protect her, Flame needed to return the favour.

"Take both of them in the walls now. Before they cause more trouble. Help those injured get inside too if you can. We won't leave them out here as food for the Titan's, they have already destroyed enough." The leader commanded glaring at Veera who tried to spit on him, but he just stepped out of the way. He lead the group inside the second wall and from there went to a government controlled building and tied the two prisoners up in a dark room. "Now tell me, where does that Fae girl hide?" The man asked as he picked up a knife and held it to Veera's neck. hopefully a threat like this in a situation they had no hope of fighting back would convince them

"Um...I don't think I want to put this on right now...No offense..." Tessa backed away slightly from the bottle, making sure the spraying mechanism was pointed away from her in case Akari slipped. "Hunter was bugging Adelina, but I'm not sure where he took off to." She paused, ignoring Zack's face when the other man was mentioned. "Do you want me to go find him?" She asked, somewhat nervously. Need to stand up to him. She reminded herself. He's not that scary.

Zack smiled when Akari picked up on his joke, but frowned when Hunter was mentioned. "We don't need him here." He said abruptly, crossing his arms over his chest. Although....if he wasn't here, was he bothering Adelina again? No...No even Hunter knew when enough was enough, right? All the same, now that the thought had crossed through Zack's head, it wouldn't leave him alone. "Maybe we both should go look for him. He emphasized, frowning at Tessa as she avoided his gaze. Sure, she wanted to stand up to Hunter and prove herself a viable Scout, but she didn't need to protect Adelina. That was his job, as her....wait, what was he to her?

Veera could do nothing as she was dragged through the town towards the building. She managed to keep fear from setting in right up until the door slammed shut behind them. Drake was knocked out cold, leaving her alone to be interrogated. As the enemy scouts tied them up, she felt shivers run through her and shut her eyes, reopening them only when the cold steel of the dagger was pressed to her throat.

"You son of a bittch." She whispered, unable to manage more then that as her palms sweat and her stomach clenched. "You'll get nothing from me."
Drake why did you have to leave me alone with this? She bit her lip, heart beat pounding in her ears. It felt like that was the only sound in the entire room. "Ah, well. That's unfortunate for you." The leader finally replied as he flipped the knife and drew back, smashing the pommel into her wound. Veera sucked in her breath before screaming as the knife blade was duck into the already throbbing wound.

She didn't remember her legs giving out, but they must have as her arms protested the strain of supporting her entire body. There was a pause, and then a sensation of warmth running down her arm as the sensation of stinging grew into unimaginable pain. She refused to look up as the man cut into her arm. "Maybe when you're done using me as your art pad, you could get me some water. Kind of thirsty." She whispered before screaming as the blade plunged into her arm, burying itself inside her muscle. At this point, it wouldn't be far off to hope he hit an artery, or she bled out from her previous injury.

Adelina went and got her some food and brought it to her. She then said it might be cold. "I can go heat it up in a bit. Any food is good food sometimes." After what she had had out on her trip this would taste wonderful cold or not. It would be simple just start it up a fire and heat it up that was all there was to it. Adelina then went on about the hunters not coming back yet and thanked her for the food or something. "How long ago should the hunters have came back?" If it was only 30 minutes or so there was nothing to worry about. Maybe they were just running late, but if they should have been back hours ago then something maybe up. It could be anything from an angry mob to a titian. She hoped that they did not run into a titian. Adelina then said all she was a cook worker. "You are so much more then that. You can talk to animals, you care for the many things and I do not think there is nothing you would not do for someone." Adelina had so much more to offer. She could not see why Adelina did not see that. "Adelina you sell yourself short, do not do that. You are more then just a cook, you are a good friend." Adelina then went on about Issac dyeing. "I should have been here, I should have left sooner. I could have saved him." sadness in her voice. She then grabbed a rag from a counter to clean the blood from the table. She was to be back days ago and because she had stayed out someone had died. She then went to clean the table from the blood from her kill once that was done she put the rag back. She took one pan from the kitchen and put the cold food that Adelina gave her into it.. She walked to a location in the café where the was not anything burn able. She then started a fire in a pit. It should only take a few minutes to heat it up anyways. After that was done she put the fire out and put her food on the plate and ate it and it was good. It was far better then anything she had on the road. She walked into the kitchen and cleaned the pan and plate, putting them away. "Thank you for the food Adelina it was good."

Gale wasn't sure how to respond to Flame as she wondered just how did the people here recognize her by her face instead of her ears. Her guess was as good as his in this case for he didn't really know any other way. Shortly after Flame had used her maneuver gear to leave the city, Gale followed behind her. They needed to come up with some sort of plan of rescuing both Drake and Veera and what ever plan that was decided on, he was going to be a part of it. This time things were going to be different, he wasn't going to run away while his comrades were caught.

Before leaving his home, Chrono made sure that he hadn't forgotten anything. As for what he could forget, it was the picture of his parents that he had found. While he may have joined the Scouting Corps and generally had to take care of those responsibilities first, he never forgot to try to find any clues about his parents whenever he had the time. Though asking people if they've seen them wasn't the most efficient method of doing it, but it was all that he could do.

He took one last look at the photo that was in his hand before putting it away into his pocket. The picture was safely tucked away and Chrono left his home. As for what he would do, guess walking/around asking would have to do for the time being. Now, where was a good place to start. The teen tapped his finger to his chin as he pondered this.

The tinkerer shrugged her shoulders after Tessa and Zack had stopped speaking. "I don't see much of a point, he'll show up sooner or later. Probably bragging about how he killed something or other, like always. There's only one more thing that needs testing, and I was going to get him to do it so that if it fails I get to laugh at him falling onto his butt, but I'll make do. There are other ways of testing it, but not many I can do here" Akari explained. She looked over towards the king, wondering if he had any plans for training. She was an inventor, not a soldier, and while she could make up something for them to do with ease she felt it would be better if he lead rather than her.

Drake opened his eyes slowly, his head throbbing with pain as he did so. He sat up and took a quick look around, at first looking dazed and a little confused, but soon all the past events caught up with him and he remembered exactly what had happened and how he'd gotten there. Upon seeing what their captor was doing to Veera, he tried to stand up, but found himself brought back to the ground by the yank of a chain, as well as discovering restricted movement due to shackles around his hands and feet. "I don't suppose you have the key to these by any chance, do you?" the leader of the scouts asked, attempting to get the makeshift jailor's attention.
