There is a ranking system for the Organization XIII Mushrroms, if you can get a B, you'll get one item from them. There's also an A and S ranking.

I - Hit at least 70 times. S - 99
II - Get at least 80 points. S - 99
III - Pick up at least 450 dropped prizes. S - 500
IV - Defeat at least 85. S - this one is different it just has at least 85 for B and nothing for A or S
V - Reduce his HP to zero within 10 seconds. S - under 00'03"00
VI - Within 45 seconds defeat all 65. S - under 00'31"00
VII - Reduce HP to zero within 10 seconds. S - under 00'03"00
VIII - Attack in the air at least 85 times. S - 99
IX - Get at least 75 points. S - 99
X - Reduce HP to zero within 55 seconds. S - under 00'36"00
XI - Reduce the number above his head to zero within 19 seconds. S - under 00'15"00
XII - Defeat at least 40. S - 50

and to fight XIII you must satisfy the rest (meaning at least a B on each)

I think what getting A's or S's does is affect what weapons and synthesis items they drop.

For odd numbered ones, getting an S gives you a 100% chance of getting the Premium Mushroom. Whereas an A will give you only a 10% chance of getting the Premium and a 90% of getting Precious Mushroom +

For even numbers, an S gives you 100% chance of getting the Limited Mushroom, while an A gives you 10% of Limited and 90% for Platinum Mushroom +

So basically as you go down in rank it drops the highest weapon, switches the other one for less percentage and the high percentage for the next level weapon below it.

So S is 100% for highest, A is 90/10. B is 85/15. C is 75/25. D is 65/35 and E is just 55 for the lowest ranked one.

Ummm... yeah. 2 things: 1: crap i'm screwed. I'll never be able to get above a C rank. 2: There are so many mushroom heartless(5 Kinds!!!) That I feel 'high' off these 'shrooms'. Just a little attept at humor.
