where did sora get the keyblade from?

i think its ventus, and that's why roxas looks like ven, and can bear keyblade...

does anyone know OFFICIALLY?

 

Well if the Keyblade was originally Riku's, then that statement wouldn't make sense. Since his heart was strong, Sora got the keyblade.

 

uhhh.... where did riku come in?

 

Well Riku was the origianl "chosen one", but since he gave into the darkness, Sora was chosen.

 

If the Keyblade is a kinda heirloom that chooses the strongest heart, then sora would have gotten it from the keyblade bearer before him. Whoever it was is either
A) dead
B) a heartless and nobody
or
C)doesn't have a strong heart
but someone definatly came before Sora.

As the others said, it was originally Riku who was meant to wield the keyblade, that would of been a fun game, if only he didn't choose darkness.

I think the question is not "why" (because of Riku... darkness... submit... yadda yadda) but "who"...

And I think that either:

a.- The keyblade choose of his own...

b.- If there's actually somebody who deliberately choose Sora, still isn't in the canon and maybe (just maybe) BBS will put that straight...

 

ya, Sui_Caedere is right, instead of having someone choose sora(a.k.a.light) :( It would b logical if it was the keyblade that chose him:0

 

but how comes riku can still wield a keyblade if he wasnt chosen

 

Because Maleficent made him more powerful, so that he could take it from sora, but then sora got it back....

 

As most of the members said, the keyblade originally chose Riku. However, Riku decided to go to the darkness, thus making the keyblade choose someone else. Namely, Sora.

 

i thought only people of the light can wield the keyblade?

 

It was originally Riku who was meant to wield the keyblade, though he choose Darkness. The Keyblade, prbably sensed Sora had a kind Heart full of Light and choose him to carry on it's legacey. If someone else had met Riku when he had chosen Darkness, that person might be a Keyblade wielder instead of Sora. Perhaps it was chance, or maybe SDora was already choosen before that by someone/something else.
