The Curse of the Seikou

Spunk Ransom helped out a lot with the story and stuffs. :=D: Although the title is kinda...lame. <-<

Story

In the city Sy’ran, an enormously powerful group named the Vereor guarded a special power source, a young woman by the name of Ayama. Although this power source on its own was barely any danger, it had the potential to give regular humans abnormal abilities. These abilities being the thing that the receiver craved most in life. This secret was well kept until two thieves somehow managed to steal this power source. Upon using the power source’s own ability they were marked with a symbol of their transformation. The Seikou. After the two had gained their powers, the power source left their possession and soon others found that they too had the Seikou on their skin. These humans became known as the Isei, although they had gained power, they were marked for death, for the Vereor would not allow any others to gain such abnormal abilities. Armed with weapons and strength, possibly several times greater than the Isei, they began hunting them down one by one, saving their worst punishment for the two that stole their precious power source.

Terms in the RP

Isei ~ Those that were given a power by the power source named Amaya. Since they’re still human, they have free will and do what they wish with their ability, be it good or evil.

Seikou ~ A mark on the body only found on the Isei.

Vereor ~ The Vereor are stronger and faster than ordinary humans and carry a staff that temporarily neutralizes an Isei’s abilities when it makes contact.

Rules

1. Obviously, no godmodding or power playing.
2. Only one power per Isei.
3. You better have good grammar. Seriously.
4. Please stay active. If ya need a recap, someone will gladly give you one. Or else.
5. Avoid automatically hitting another character without giving them a chance to at least react in some way.
6. Three characters max. That’s all. If you let your character die, then you can replace him/her without it counting against you.
7. Don’t use *’s for actions. That’s simple, right?
8. Don’t make your character a complete know-it-all. Basically, don’t make your characters know about things that they shouldn’t understand.
9. Don’t make this RP go over PG-13 stuff. If you wanna do “more” then take it to PM with the RPer’s consent.
10. I can add more rules at any time. And I won’t bother adding one of those, “Put *this* in your post so I know you read the rules.” thing. If you didn’t read the rules, too bad.
11. Oh, and Vereor’s are stronger than the Isei, don’t kill one as if their nothing more than a wimp. :B|:
12. Last rule. If your character is an Isei, put where their Seikou mark is under the “Other” section. Also you can just add pretty much whatever else you want under “Other”.

Bio: Alan was never much of a thief. He was someone who preferred action and rushing into things without thinking. His own ability even reflects that since he rarely ever carried a weapon around with him even though he knew he would get in some kind of trouble. “Bonnie” had been his childhood friend. The two of them stole the power source from the Vereor and became the first two Isei.

Bio: Melissa has always been the kind of person to think things through before doing them. She always carried around some sort of weapon with her. Ready if something happened. She has always been prepared. She and "Clyde" have been friends since her childhood. The two of them stole the power source, thus becoming the first two, Isei.

Bio: At the age of 10 Seth's parents died to to an accident resulting in Seth being an orphan. With nowhere else to go Seth went around traveling around the different places stealing stuff to survive. His life changed when he soon came upon the Vereor's energy source and became an Isei.

Bio: Natalie's family owns a local tea house that most travelers stop by. She was never really that interested in the tea house but always worked there as a waitress. Though Natalie was growing bored of her predictable lifestyle and was looking for adventure. She then soon enough found the power source back behind the tea house and suddenly had the Seikou mark on her back and became a Isei.

Bio: Aria has lived a normal life with her parents. As an only child, her parents had enough money to be considered rich. Eventually she moved out and discovered the power source and turned her into an Isei.

Bio: Having a very clumsey nature Roan made his life fun although sometimes his clumsey ways caused chaos over fun. Always trying to turn frowns upside down in bad situations, usually not making much of an improvement. He never actually found the power source but slipped when walking passed someone carrying it and ultimately making contact with it making the person carrying it loose it and giving him powers.

Bio: Mona had always lived with her aunt and uncle in a distant country, and she had always longed for a life at sea. On her adventures, she ended up in Sy'ran, where she discovered the power source.

Bio: One of the youngest Vereor, she has made it her mission to hunt down all the Isei and make them suffer before they die. She hates them for reasons she keeps to herself, and can fight just as easily without her staff using knives.

Other: Is lightly on her arms from numerous fights, but the scars look like faint white marks. She doesn't like to talk about them, and tells a different story everytime.

IC: Alan stared down at the near empty sidewalk, watching as people began appearing on the streets, every once in awhile a car would pass by. The rising Sun reminded him that it was safe once more to freely roam the city...if he moved about in crowded areas where it would be hard for the Vereor to track him. He rested his hands on the railing of the fire escape stairs, wondering where Melissa was at that moment. Although he knew it was foolish to worry about someone who could take care of themselves, she was still his friend. Better get moving... He thought to himself, turning around and going through a window of his "borrowed" apartment. City life was fun to a certain extent and usually consisted of hiding, running, and the occasional fight...for his kind anyways.

OOC: Bad starting post. DX But I had to get this alive again. 8D

 

Alan lifted his chin, sniffing the morning air. He nearly coughed as a large truck passed by him leaving a cloud of smoke behind it. He stuffed his hands into his pockets and walked aimlessly around the city, thinking to himself about several things. He knew that the Vereor were hunting down their kind...but should Melissa and he even take responsibillity for what happened? It was their fault after all that they lost that thing and allowed others to gain abnormal abillities. "Whatever." He muttered under his breath as he adjusted his gloves. I wonder if those guys are evil...they're doing their job but the ones I've seen aren't exactly cruel... He shook his head and decided not to think too much about it, the Vereor wanted people like him dead so he shouldn't have to worry about right or wrong. It was all about surviving to see the next day.

 

He stopped walking, biting his lower hip as he thought of where to go. Alan knew his way around the city but without a destination, it was all pointless. My mind feels so blank right now... He groaned and walked near the edge of the sidewalk, hoping something would happen soon. Alan quickly glanced over his shoulder, almost getting the feeling he was being followed...then again, he always had that feeling.
