358/2 Days Question About The Multi-player Capability

So I know there is multi-player capability for Kingdom Hearts 358/2Days. My question is: Are you able to play multi-player through wifi or do you have to play against someone sitting in the same room? The reason I ask is because I am buying a DS Lite just for this game and I want to be able to play my friend in North Carolina if possible. Does anyone know for sure how the multi-player for Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days works?

 

Very good question, i dont know about the J version so we will have tgo wait and see unless the make wifi or take wifi out in the E version

if not get a reallllyy long ethernet cable

 

in the jap you only get ds wireless and i really doubt that they will implement a wi-fi option for the other versions.

maybe somebody could make a hack and add in the wifi to the rom... if i knew more about how ds wifi worked i would have a try at it.

 

Not possible to do this kind of stuff with hacks.
And Adhoc doesn't work either...

Though the DS doesn't work with it.

Wireless with people close to you that have the Ds and the game.

Damn! I always wanted to play 358/2 Days just for the multi-player option. But now, why should I play it? I know the story (which isn't big deal) and there's noone near me that has the game.

 

lol same here... im only getting it cuz i have an R4 and can hack my people and stuff...
that and saves are cross region compatable.

Okay so I am new to the ds. I have the DS Lite and I checked the 358/2 days site and it says: 2-4 players via Wireless DS Mutli-Card Play. What does that mean? Does it mean I have to be in the same room as someone to play it online or can I play it with someone in another state?

No, you cannot play it with someone in another state. You have to be in the same room to play and everyone in that rooms has to have the game.
