Well, he has over 270 electoral votes, therefore he has won.

He's projected to take the west coast. He hasn't done it yet.

Lets face it: these 4 years can't get any worse than Bush's. Even McCain's couldn't have gotten any worse than Bush, they both promoted change in various ways.

Like Shades said, he's only projected. He's not actually "President."

And he's not even African American. He was born in Hawaii, and his father is Kenyan and his mother is white. Therefore, he is not African American. So, he's not the first Black president. He's even told people he's not Black.

    That's better, yes.

But, I guess he is President now, because McCain just conceded. *shrug*

    ...?
    Kenyan:African + White:American =/= African American?

I'm pretty sure hes African American, despite the fact hes not "all black." Its a social term as well as a genetic one. If he identifies with being black (which he has) then he is.

And if that logic doesnt work check all the news stations and websites...they say African American...

So, you're saying one of the parents was Kenyan and the other was American, and this somehow doesn't make him African American?

    Please, go on.

There is no way for McCain to come back and win it, so therefor Obama is president. Besides McCain has already conceded.

Hm... frankly, I feel a little scared about this. Not that I have anything against him, just a feeling I have. I guess those feelings will pass and yeah... Great job Obama.

Oy... *face palms* I hope Obama knows what he is doing. *takes a drink* He better not call back the troops from Iraq and give up in defeat otherwise the soliders lives that were lost will be in vain. I'm not looking forward to 4 years of more government control.

Ahhhh, I'm just so ecstatic!!! History has been made, and this country isn't completely hopeless! I actually feel unified with the people of my country...I've never really had that feeling before. I love feeling proud of my country.

GO OBAMA! His speech was so inspiring! McCain was also a very good sport. He was not bitter or anything, and I respect him for that.
