This video is all i could find about this guy, Derek Paravicini, the "Living Ipod"

He's blind and disabled, but he can remember and play every song he's ever heard. In the video, he even changes up one of the songs, and it sounds pretty good.

What do you guys think of this? I think it's great that he can do something amazing even though he's disabled.

    EDIT:

Repliku found this on youtube, so i thought i'd include it.

    It's in five parts.

That's incredible. I can barely play chopsticks and the guy can transpose Beethoven as if Mozart was playing. If i could i'd give that guy Rep.

Please refrain from using that term, shadowjak. =/ It's not clinically in use in the way you used it. I would prefer it not be tossed around in such a fashion. This still is a human being we're talking about. Not a sideshow freak for you to gawk at.

And yes...Beethoven was deaf from a young age.

That is just amazing. Good topic to post and wow. Derek was so intriguing to me and a couple other friends that I went and looked up more on him and found a special about him on Youtube. There's also a younger boy named Rex in it that is similar. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1kwjDLHX92w

Thanks, repliku! Those videos really help people understand Derek better than the little minute long thing that i posted.

And such talent, it makes it even better since he's blind ^-^
But its sad, I feel bad for him too.

No problem. I wanted to learn more about him and found that whole special and it was too good to not post.

I think it's nice he found his niche in life even with all of the disabilities he possesses. It really makes one think about how with the problems such as what I have, why I can't keep fighting too to find a niche in this world because certainly they are not as surmountable. He has risen above such odds that it is inspiring.

Also, why do people still use the word '******'? It only has negative connotations to it. Growing up with a handicapped sister, that is rather offensive since I have never ever heard anyone use it nicely ever. I can even stand 'mentally ******ed' better than seeing the word '******'. It's about as nice as calling a black person the N word. =:/
