Yeah, it's AWESOME. It has the POWER of AWESOMENESS. Tis the KING of AWESOMENESS. Well, at least, book-wise.

I have to agree, it was one of the best books I've ever read. Though I hardly remember anything plot-related. Lawl, it's been so long since I've read it.

I've read it two or three times, as well as it's sequel Eldest.

Then I lost Eragon, and I was sad. But I found it recently, so I plan to read it again.

In my opinion, Edlest was better than Eragon, but eh. That might just be me.

I can't wait til the third book comes out next summer. ^^

I think it is a good book. There are some HUGE revelations in Eldest but unfortunately, the movie and game companies murdered it.

Eldest is just as good as Eragon. The ending caught my WAAAAY off though..

Don't read it, or I will kill you or something. xD

    IT'S GOOOD .

I thought it was a bit boring.

I kind of didn't really like the Author's writing style and the plot seemed kind of predictable.

I didn't even read Eldest becuase of this.

    OH I KNOW.

Even though the book was mediocre, I saw the movie, and it was a mediocre interpretation's of a mediocre book. That's like, 2 mediocres. I hated it.

But as I said before, I'm not going to read the sequels becuase I don't believe its worth it.

I shat bricks at the ending.

I read part of the first book, but I lost interest and stopped reading...it just didn't move fast enough for my taste...but then again, my attention span is very short. XD

I read the book and it kind of annoyed me. It was boring and seemed to rob from a lot of other fantasy and even a couple sci-fi books I've read and enjoyed. I really am surprised no one sued the author for some pretty near direct rips from other sources.

I see why some people like it but eh, just wasn't original enough even for me.

Eragon was an okay book. It was a little boring because there are around uh... 300 chapters or them walking through fields. >_>; Eldest too was a little boring, but an improvement from Eragon. I do agree with Repliku; it did seem to rob a lot of other stories, particularly Star Wars and Lord of the Rings.

The movie was so hilariously bad.

The book took awhile for me to get into. My mother got it for me since I've had an obsession with dragons. I tried once and the second attempt I made I read the book.

I liked it even though it seemed rather slow at points. Eldest was a lot better since I liked the character of Oromis.

The movie wasn't all that great, movies for books rarley are. But I got to bored in this book. So I quit reading.

Exact same thing with me, my mom got me both for my obsession with dragons too. Weird huh?

It's one letter away from Dragon, so that would probably be why it caught both of your mother's eyes.

As far as the book itself went, I agree with you in saying that it was okay.

Considering the kid wrote it when he was 14 i'll give me much respect, but I agree with O R A N G E, the book is boring and somewhat predictable. Eldest to me was too long all though the ending brought a lot of the elements together strongly. But the whole elf forest stuff.....I wanted to shoot myself it was too drawn out.
