I don't know why everyone's so...ga-ga over it. I mean, it was pretty good, but it wasn't...the best movie ever.

And I heard rumours of a HSM3...true? I know HSM2 is coming, but...

Anyway, do you like the movie?
    Favorite parts?
    Least favorite parts?

My fav. part is the "Stick To The Status Quo" or whatever scene.

Me least favorite, well, teh "Get Your Head In The Game" scene...

I just...didn't like how it turned out.

    OH GOD, NO!

This is possibly the worst movie ever to exist. Here's a summary for the lucky few who haven't had to deal with the excruciating experience of viewing this movie:

Pretty boy Troy Bolton is a basketball star and meets the new girl, who I forget the name of but will now become Science Geek That Sings (S.G.T.S). They both get in the play, or the 'High School Musical'.

Somehow, the two of them who have theoretically never sang before in their lives end up having beautiful voices. Popular brother and sister are jealous but end up being nice at the end of the movie.

Pretty boy and S.G.T.S. fall in love or something gay like that at some dance. S.G.T.S. is a science geek and Pretty Boy is on the basketball team. Everyone is shocked that they go into the musical and kind of try to pressure them out of it.

They sing and do really gay dances that you can almost always think of something dirty that looks exactly like it. Apparently, everyone in a everyday high school knows the same dance and the same song at the same exact time.

Now, after sitting through the horrible dialog and terrible acting, you don't even get to see the musical. Which is kind of a jip because you are pretty much saying "I-had-to-sit-through-this-crap-movie-and-now-I-don't-even-get-to-see-the-crap-musical."

I could rant on forever about this movie. I don't mean to sound harsh, and I probably couldn't make a movie better than this but all it is to me is horrible choreography, almost abusive songs, terrible teenage actors/actresses and boring and pointless storyline.

I like Stick to the Status Quo but overall it's pretty bad. The main character is HOT, though.

Wow, someone not afraid to b**** about the movie. Nice job.

Yeah, Stick To The Status Quo was about the best thing in the movie.

It's just so terrible. I hate it with the fiery passion of the sun.

And there's always the wonderous 'sing along version' with the songs subbed at the bottom so you can torture others around you by singing those terrible tunes it includes.

AS IF WE REALLY NEED IT! IT'S ALREADY PATHETIC ENOUGH THAT PEOPLE LIKE THE MOVIE, (if it can be considered a movie) WHY DO WE NEED THEM SINGING IT AND GETTING IT STUCK IN OUR HEADS?!

    ... *clears throat*

Yep, and to top it off, there's the production of it.

A group in our school went to see it not too long ago.

Oh god. Aren't they putting it on Broadway or something?

Broadway is supposed to be quality musicals. Not [insert foul words here].

    God save the children.

I saw it out of sheer curiousity to see what all the fuss is about. And guess what, I still don't. Acting is medicore at best, the songs are just random at times, and dancing doesn't leave much to be desired. The plot is thin and cliche to the max.

Edit: And Misty there was a stage version.

Yeah they just show you the steps accompanied with some chessy music. It's really bad. I use to joke with my friends by saying i would get them the DVD for their B-Day. They weren't too happy with the idea.

Misty, you can't ***** about it too much without looking silly. It wasn't intended for you; it was intended for little kids who are looking for some entertainment.
