I think dutch, Korean and Italian.

    Italian is quite hard...

People talk to me in Turkish but I don't understand a flipping word...
Deutish-land is quite hard to comprehend... And Swizz language is too hard to learn...

Some people even say portuguese is hard, but I disagree lol xD

Japanese did take me a while, still learning, but I'm getting better steadily

Japanese took a while for me to learn, however, I can speak rather fluently.

However, I find Swedish to be even harder with their pronunciation.
D: Gawd, I hate their pronunciation.

I'd have to say Latin and Chinese.
Latin because it's a 'dead' language, and Chinese because of the pronunciation. The same word can mean four different things based on the way it's pronounced.
And if you wanted to read a Chinese newspaper, you'd have to know at least 8,000 characters.

French isn't too bad, but there's some verb agreements and stuff that I don't get. xD

EDIT: You know that Chinese isn't just Mandarin, right? The language is split up into two dialects, Mandarin and Cantonese. >_>
Language of Norway would be Norwegian, too...
Also danny, try not to spam. :3

By comparing yours with that language.

French is pretty easy, and I don't really think Chinese is that hard. Sure, you gotta know what the words mean, (can be pretty tricky) but then it would be not so. I tried and its not all that hard.

It all depends on what's your native language. If you're an English speaker, Mandarin, Japanese, Russian etc will be very difficult, simply because they're all so different to English, and vice versa. The most difficult language I've ever studied is Japanese, mainly because the script is so complex and confusing.

Italian is (I find) a pretty easy language to learn. Same with French, because it shares a lot of vocabulary with English. And Germanic languages (German, Dutch, Scandinavian languages) are supposed to be easier for English speakers to learn, because English is a Germanic language too.

Dutch isn't easy at all for English speakers. Don't know why, but I read it somewhere...

Yeah...you'd have to know what at least EIGHT THOUSAND characters mean to read the news. >_>

Though it does come somewhat easy to me; it may be because my mom is from China (and she's teaching me), or because I've learned/learning several languages already.
My extensive exposure to Japanese culture probably helps too. ^^'

Toshi...just give it up, man. xD
I think it's based on what you know. Or something.
Whatever, I'm just saying my opinion here on languages. >.>

The only thing about French, Italian and Spanish that's tough are the verbs (IMO)... A lot of my friends just don't get them. Once you can figure them out, the rest is pretty easy.

There are translation sites, you can try to compare your language to french. (example)
Get it a little in your head, and try to speak some lines like: ''Hello, I am...''.

Guys, stop spamming. This isn't a thread asking for translations, it's about hard languages. =\

And can you PLEASE change "Mandarin" to "Chinese"?

when you say japanese do you mean Kanji, Romanji, Katakana, Hirigana what are we dealing with here?

As for hardest, Mandarin Chinese is reputed to be the most difficult because of what DPWolf said.
