    Hello, today there is another new code for Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories. It's the difficulty mod. The interesting part of this code is the Extreme Mode difficulty which seems to be a functioning difficulty game mode that was removed from the final game. I also believe that Extreme Mode is the English name for the Japanese version's Critical Mode (the one found in Kingdom Hearts 2: Final Mix+). Below are some screenshots of the code in action:

    Like the description that's found in-game says, Sora does indeed begin the game very powerfully. When you use the code and go to New Game, Sora begins the game with all his Sleights learned and with the ability to High Jump and Glide. From my own testing, I found that the game doesn't appear to be much more difficult, though I have only tested the code up until the first battle with Axel. I'm not sure if the game gets more difficult later on but I found that the game is actually easier when you begin with all of the Sleights learned already.

    Anyways, on with the codes!

    Difficulty Mod
    006096F1 000000??

    00= Beginner Mode
    01= Standard Mode
    02= Proud Mode
    03= Extreme Mode
    04= Enemies have super high HP (which randomly regenerates) and
    enemies don't seem to do any damage

    Note: when you go to New Game (Sora) with the Extreme Mode cheat enabled, for some reason you don't begin the game with a card required to proceed. Use this code to get that card.

    That looks pretty cool, I might go back into this game for these codes.

    With the 04 digit, the Shadow looks like overkill, can't imagine it with bosses.

    Do you need action replay for these codes and other KH codes?
    Dumb question...

    that's interesting, perhaps all the cards are available from the get-go as well as Sora's sleights.

    maybe, to be honest it seems more on the easy side from what i tested. but i only tested up until the first battle with Axel. the game seemed MUCH easier since you could blast enemies with Ragnarok from the start. and also from a comment above, it seems that all the cards are available from the start as well. i didn't play through the entire game on Extreme Mode so it may get much tougher (or not) for all i know.

    Another amazing find. It's nice to see the bits of code that are leftover in games.

    It makes me wonder if there was a specific reason it was removed...
