Question clipping masks help

    Ok, I know someone already asked this and when I read how to do it, I got lost.

    So can someone be clear on how do clipping masks on gimp plz?

    alright
    • get a brush/render
    • paste it in
    • in the layers dialog, hide it
    • next copy visible and paste to a new layer, or find an image on google
    • in the layers dialog go to the hidden brush/render layer, right click and go to alpha to selection
    • then go back to the copy visible/googled image layer, and go to selelct>invert, then edit>clear, then select>None
    now you have your clipping mask

    Ok, thanks I'm going to try it now, when I read how to do it when the other person asked it, it got confusing so
