    This is just wrong. Why would you let your kid die like this?

    The family has 3 other children and that Social Services in looking into the situation to see if they are being neglected as well.

    They prayed?...does diabetes even cure itself?..what's praying going to do?

    God rarely gives miracles these days =(...(Bush elected in twice!?you fools!)..

    all joking aside,the parents were pretty careless,I mean 75 pounds!?

    Depends on her size. 75lbs for an 11 year old isn't as uncommon as you'd think. (If she was tiny) I believe I weighed that much or around that when I was 11, I was a bit underweight but it wasn't unhealthy. Then again, this is one messed up case so I'd assume she was severely underweight... :"|

    Still, this is really creepy ._.
    Some people are so silly. It is such a pity that a young child had to lose her life over it ;~;

    Meh, that just sucks. What is it with all of the religious wackos lately? They obviously failed to read the part about 'God helps those who help themselves'. If people want to believe in the religion fine, but jeez, don't forget that part of it. =:/

    That poor girl could still be alive and doing fine had they not done this. How horrible. All she needed was insulin.

    Umm i like to think of it as evolution if this keeps up diabetes will be wiped out in a few hundred years! (i know that was mean)

    But the prayer thing... i am a christian... i just want to point out, thats not how prayers work.

    This is just plain wrong and sad.

    Those parents are ******ed. Blaming lack of faith, pssh. They'd better learn there lesson and get their lazy@$$3$ off th tv couch and help the rest of the kids...

    What a disgrace. There seriously should be a license to be a parent and if you have a kid without a license, you should be thrown in jail. This is terrible.

    I wouldnt go that far..just register as a parent,and if anything happens to them and they had no treatment whatsoever,throw the parents in jail.

    This is why you never place so much faith in religion. It kills people! o;

    Also, 75 lbs is about 34 kg, ANF. =)

    God's not going to send a miracle unless you meet him halfway...

    In other words if your not going to give the little girl insulin and just pray most of the time it's not going to work. Why? because they didn't do anything to try to help.

    Eww...my friend's name is Madeline. But aside that, if I was a parent, and my kid weighed 75 pounds, I'd make them eat more, or I'd take them to the doctor.

    Oh I heard of this.My brother told me and my mom.They said when she died, the parents said she was going to come back to "life".

    Ok I'm religious and yes I pray every night.I pray but when someone is ill you have to give them medical attention.I do believe that by praying people get better but that won't cure them.Yes I believe in god and everything.I seriously think these parents are stupid for only relaying on prayers to save their daughter.She NEEDED medical attention.
