I'm not sure whether staff have just switched off the ability to make new accounts or not, or whether it is something that lovely facker left behind.

But uhm, bmaucoin has been the newest member since the 30th of June.

It's now the 11th of July, I'm pretty sure that seems a little suspect.

Oh, no offense to bmaucoin, welcome to the site and all that jazz <3

Now there is a song that I love just about every cover of, some of you may have heard it, its called "Running up that hill". Its a great song in my opinion.

Anyway, today I found a new version of it, and it is so beautiful, so I thought I would come and show y'all

Hello guys and gals, I am here to ask a favour.

My creativity is in somewhat of a ditch at the moment, and I am lacking inspiration, so if you could be so kind as to give me 5 words, then I shall turn them into stories.

You can choose any 5 words you like, they can be anything, however, please don't just give me 5 names. Places are fine, but not names of people.

    Example:

    Snow. Tigers. Island. Sky. Robots

    Many thanks <3

    A derpyderpderp

It's been a while since I made a thread in this section, but I was inspired by Wolfie's thread of aceness to post one of my own. So this shall now be my official thread of Catch the Rain's Still Life.

Now as some of you who remember me may remember, I suck hardcore when it comes to still life, I suck even more when it comes to any form of editing. So here you go, have two of my biggest weaknesses combined into one delicious thread of bad photography.

Advice and comments are welcome (I'll beg, seriously, I'll do it), and I really could do with the feedback.

Regardless though, thanks for looking <3

Hello, gosh, this feel awfully weird. I'm not used to making threads anymore. Argh spazzy nerves.

Anyways, today at work I was asked not to wear my heels anymore, because apparently a customer commented that they make me intimidatingly tall, and it turns out that people aren't usually comfortable with approaching tall females for help/assistance. Personally I think this is rubbish, for one thing this is the first time it's ever been mentioned to me, and for another, well, I actually think I am kind of short. Oh, and said heels only added approximately 2 inches to my height, reason being, I tend to go ass over elbows in anything too high.

Now I am curious, and it has been a while since I've seen this asked, so if you would be so kind as to tell me your height, that would be wonderful. Also, if you believe yourself to be short or tall.

I am around 5'10 and I think I am quite short.

Hi, wow don't I feel like a noob making a thread here.

Ok, today when I've been sending VMs to people its telling me I'm hitting the character limit of 1000 characters. Is this a new thing or has it always been in place? Because I've sent much longer VMs before and not had an issue, so have we now had a limit put on it? If it IS a new thing, can the limit be increased please? Because 1000 characters is literally nothing.

I'm asking because its now happened three times today and I've never encountered it before.

    Thankies

I am trying to sort through my mass folder of half started pieces of writing, so expect a lot of random stories and fragments in the future. This is something I started a long time ago; it was originally meant to be a lot longer but I lost my train of thought with it, personally I am quite happy with it not being carried on; I really can't think of a way I'd want it to go now. So I'll let it live as something short.

Anyways, enjoy? Comment/crit if you wish, that would be nice <3

    Shades of Grey

The sheets have turned cold since he left her, crumpled and unmade; she hasn’t made the bed since she found him gone. If she hugs the pillows she can still smell the scent of his aftershave, the citrusy scent of his hair gel. She walks on ballerina legs, shaped and perfect but too white from lack of sun.

The warm arms that comforted her in nights past will hold her no more, and as she paces the floorboards her mind runs back through the last time she saw him. The last time she saw that charming smile, the last time she felt that soft kiss. It is all gone now.

She stares out of the dusty window, raises pale fingers to trace a heart through the grime, frames with their initials; hers and his, before slashing through the shape with long fingernails. Jagged edges marking cracks in the heart, broken and slashed.

Outside the world is grey, as grey as the ash that spills from the saucer on the bedside table and as grey as the mood that settled over her. Grey, grey, grey an endless monotone world where even the weak sunlight barely filters through the drizzle and the haze.

The coffee has turned stale, evaporating into the musky air, leaving behind brown rings in the mugs as the liquid slowly decreases. She circles one mug with her fingers; he drank from this mug that night before he left, she can’t bring herself to wash away the traces he left behind. His lips had touched that, she wanted to keep that, even if it was that damn hideous mug she always tried to hide at the back of the cupboard. Ugly and decorated with smiling dwarves; a remnant of happier times when she had an obsession with Snow White. Now it would forever grace the table, along with the crumbs and dishes of a last snack before bed.

Letters pile up by the front door, a paper mountain of unread bills and junk. Yellowing around the edges and smelling damp, she contemplates moving them, but she doesn’t want to; doesn’t want to touch anything in case she accidently disturbs and destroys some small thing he left behind.

She watches dust motes float around from room to room, dancing along to music that only they can hear. For a while she dances too, caught up in the false pretence of life. She stumbles, nearly catches her balance, but nearly isn’t enough and she pirouettes in slow motion, crashing through the air. Arms flying as her legs give out, she catches the table as her fingers grasp the edges, desperate for balance. She falls, the table falls, the coffee mugs slip and fall, sliding along the surface to smash on the floor. She lies amongst the broken debris of ceramics, the spilled coffee and the settling dust. She sobs for hours unmoving before falling into uneasy sleep.

She dreams of the day when the veiled shadows of death will return to take her too. The sheets have turned cold since he left her, as cold as her fozen world.

Because if I have anymore like last night, I think I'll have myself locked up

Be warned, some of you already know how immensely detailed my dreams are, so there is a bit of a text wall

    x_x

So it starts off in this really old city place, kind of like Zanarkand except not quite as abandoned, it was really dark and for some reason it was always going to be night there. Dalk, Advent, Wolfie, Xaale and myself were in an abandoned railway station that was in the middle of a wrecked funfair, we were wandering around in the dark and Xaale was convinced she was a chicken for real and was running around yelling BAWK BAWK BAWK when we stopped and I announced that a) I was pregnant, and b) the baby was coming NOW. So Dalk, Advent and Wolfie decided it would be a good idea to deliver my baby. Only, Dalk and Advent had no ****ing clue what they were doing so thought the best plan would be to hold me down and yank my baby out, so I was screaming at them both DON'T DO THAT D: but at the same time I was screaming at them to just get my baby out. Xaale was still wandering around thinking she was a chicken.

So eventually, Wolfie safely delivers my baby, which then Dalk proceeeds to go completely googly eyed over and wouldn't give it me back, so I never even got to see it except it was a boy and apparently had his daddy's eyes, which considering I didn't know who the father was, is pretty impressive.

Meanwhile, elsewhere in the city of KHV, Nova was going on a killing spree killing off members that she thought were competition to her in the pyp thread whilst continually singing this song. She tried to kill someone (I don't remember who) and Cariad completely lost it because she was the one having to deal with the dead bodies, so Cariad and Nova started beating the crap out of each other.

At the same time as this, The Fuk? Forsaken and Mr. Pumpkin are running off from Mike and Misty because they got caught dealing drugs to citizens of the RP area of the city. Xendran and Desi are part of some underground mafia that were stealing the identities of people.

Some of my other online friends who weren't from KHV were trying to invade the city and there was this long prcession of members who normally reside in discussion who were marching really slowly up the middle of the city from the better off areas (which was like the discssion section counterpart irl, bigger houses, nicer looking, whereas the RP section was all shacks and filthy).

The dream ended when it was decided that my baby's name would be decided by a poll held in the city x_x

There was a ton of other **** too, and so many members holy ****, but if I keep writing it all down, I'll be here all night

So there you have it, I hope you are happy >:[
