I just can't believe how much effort went into doing this battle. It just ties into the storyline so well. It seems less like an optional boss, and more like a story boss. Just think about it for a minute: The princesses before the battle introduce Sora to the concept of Nothingness as the third power in the KHverse, opposed to both light and dark. It was Sora's first encounter with the Organization - his first time meeting a Nobody, which would eventually lead to everything that happened in CoM and KH2. It was the first time his memories were sampled, which comes into play in Days. It set into motion... pretty much everything about Castle Oblivion, really, save Namine's birth there. Xemnas also reveals so many things in his little chat with Sora, which we didn't know for sure about until KH2: -that Sora's special, and that his present state is that of an incomplete being. -that he, Xemnas, had spent some time being known as "Ansem." -that Sora looks like his Nobody. And after the battle, he even makes remarks that take on a whole new meaning after playing Days. I just love how this fight ties into almost everything that we've done in the series. Does anyone else agree? The difficulty is also very hard, and it took me until I got the One-Winged Angel Keyblade to beat the guy. Even still, I made sure to reset so that I could refight him any time that I wanted.
Hello, I am signed up with the username Haeralis the Brave, but you may know me from other websites. I am also known as Thamauturge on Gamefaqs, Haeralis on Kingdom Hearts Insider, JudgeMagisterDelita on Youtube, and a few other places. Anyways, I am a big fan of the Kingdom Hearts series. To the point where I have beaten the following games: Kingdom Hearts 1, Kingdom Hearts 1 Final Mix, Kingdom Hearts 2, Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix Critical Mode, Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix Level 1 Run, Kingdom Hearts Re Chain of Memories, and Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix. My favorite game in the series is Kingdom Hearts 1 Final Mix. I think it's quite tragic that the rest of the series isn't as good as it is, and took away so many of the things that were great about the first title. After beating the infamous level 1 run in KHII FM, I really started to just loathe the english Kingdom Hearts II. It's so horribly incomplete, I can't help but pity anyone who doesn't play the infinitely superior Final Mix. Even though it's still flawed, it's miles better and turns the original 5/10 KHII into at least an 8/10. Other than the Kingdom Hearts series, I am a big fan of the Ivalice Alliance series of Final Fantasy games that includes titles such as Final Fantasy Tactics, Vagrant Story, and Final Fantasy XII. I love the lore in each of these games, and the music is killer. My two favorite video game composers are Hitoshi Sakimoto and Yoko Shimomura. My favorite game designer is Yasumi Matsuno.
