Ashir could only do melee attacks which weren't very powerful in his case. Sure, he had up points on strength, but no real training with fighting weaponless. Mage did not account for that. One heartless clawed at his back, his skin a bit too hard for the heartless to cut through like regular humans' skin. But Ashir did register the pain, punching the heartless in the face.
Ashir didn't register the hug, he was too busy listening to tiny clawing against the walls noises. "What the--" a swarm of heartless were all trying to get in and attack. He pushed Sora, Asuki, Xidanne and Xirane behind him, putting up fists. "I'm not letting you hurt them! he hissed to the numerous heartless, whom hissed back. "I am never letting anyone down ever again!" He started to attack the heartless head on. ooc: And in the heat of a climax, I'm way too tired to keep moving on @w@;; Go on ahead with your post, but thats it for tongiht, you and I need bed, even if it is summer
"You're my cousin, Sora. And I'm very much fine on my own." He huffed in air, he sounded like he was going to "cry" again. He felt very lost and alone.
"It's okay..." Ashir smiled bitterly. "I've known Death for a long time. I'm just glad I know she's still watching." he had a heavy air of madness about him. "There are a lot of people who've died around me. I caused about ten deaths myself. I'm a murderer."
Ashir facepalmed. "I forgot! She's been dead for a while. When CR showed up, I knew Mom was a goner." he huffed at his little mistake. "I wish I knew how to bring her back..."
ooc: *munches on midnight salad* Oddest snack for me yet bic: Ashir thought about it. "She's umm... Watching, waiting, watching waiting, yes? no? YES!" So much energy, you'd think he was having a David Tennant moment. Then he gasped in the moody realization. "She's dead. She can't mingle with the living. Strictly against rules. She's not in hell at least, been there, seen it, dragged into it."
"I don't know..." Ashir looked to the image again, then to Sora. "Did she say anything else, anything at all!? This is crucial! It doesn't matter how small it seems just tell me!" He seemed very desperate.
"Safe and sane?... Rachel doesn't know about it, for all I know she could be playing the violin in her grave! So it's either CR or Mom. But CR usually stays in her form with the top hat so..." He slightly gasped a bit. "Mom!?"
"So... Any guesses? The only women I know that would contact me is Rachel because of my dad-" Ashir shivered at some memories. "- And there's CR whom we haven't heard a peep of... Then there's mom, Aunt Blooms is still alive so it cant' be her. Other then that, I don't know any women that look remotely similar to that." he shrugged, unsure. "Did she say anything at least?"
Ashir was too busy looking at the footage, pausing when the cold dropped in. "There." He pointed to a swirling frigid silhouette of a winged and robed young woman.
Ashir huffed, nodding. "Alright." He turned to Sora and pointed to Asuki. "Your daughter seven years in the future, Asuki. By that time, you're living on the islands, one big happy family." The family part he slightly grimaced it as he went back to Xidanne and Xirane, asking about how to access the thermal footage of this room.
Ashir walked up to Asuki, dragging her to a corner, and stared firmly at her. "Do I tell him? Cierto or falso? C'mon, I need to know!" he hissed, urgent.
"Oh!" Ashir turned to Sora and Asuki. "Um..." He wanted to know if he should tell the truth or lie.
Ashir was too busy wondering who the ghost was to notice Sora freaking out about Asuki. "Maybe..." he sniffed the air, wondering if there was anything that lingered. Nothing. He would hae to ask Asuki, but turned to Xidanne and Xirane with curiousity. "Does this place have thermal sensing security cameras?"
"... Mom always wanted to see a ghost." Ashir murmured. He looked at Asuki, seeing her pain. "It's okay Asuki, we'll figure it out..." he smiled. Then frowned. "Do you have any idea who the ghost was?"
"I will be watching. Don't let him become his father." The ghost whispered again. The cold and dark feeling left, and Ashir awoke. "W-Why was it so cold?" he shivered for warmth.
The weight from Sora had moved to Asuki before, but did go back to Sora. And if he was very sensitive to touch, he could feel the slight brush of feathers. "Keep him sane and safe..." the ghost of a voice echoed through his ear, as well as Asuki's.
The cold feeling crept over to Asuki, a small weight on both shoulders, two hands. The echoing scent heightened around Asuki, and a small ghost of a sigh grazed over everyone's ears. Ashir tossed around a bit due to the presence of the cold.
It felt like a cold presence was in the room, a small weight sat on Sora's shoulder. It was if someone had their icey hand on his shoulder, but at the same time, it was warm. A small echo of a scent filled the noses of those who could realize it. Ashir moved a bit, grumbling. "Mom... Forgive me..." he moaned sadly.
Ashir's right hand twitched as he slept, another round of nightmares. "Rachel..." he mumbled, his breaths jagged and shallow, reaching the verge of sobs. "Asuki..." his left hand clenched, and he gritted his teeth. 'Mom... I'm so sorry...' he then quieted down to silent breaths of sobbing.
