That's actually something that doesn't bother me with the movie. I mean, this is a very militaristic society. The main goal is to kill the empathy of these kids so they can be warriors. I mean, that's sort of what they do in basic training. And that goes double for Ender since he wants to be the perfect soldier.
The only magical girl anime I've seen are Madoka Magica and Kill La Kill.
Congratulations. You have been randomly select to recieve one free iPod nano.

Ahh, young one. Low Quality Bait is one of the many beauties of the Internet. A simple way of using it, as seen above is to simply say that "it sucks", and it works on things that are especially popular like Attack on Titan. Now, you might ask "what if that's his opinion and he's not trying to bait people"? It may indeed be the poster's opinion, but what makes this bait is that it was meant to get a rise out of somebody, preferably, someone who is a big fan of the property. A big part of all of this is the intent of the comment. I'll go into High Quality Bait another time. What makes the post Low Quality is the little effort put into their bait. It is something anybody could have said, and was somewhat predictable. Because of that, most people won't even take a rise to it at all.
I'm not sure they can even pass a bill like this effecting the whole world. And it's something that can't pass in my eyes because of the impact it will have. I understand that it was piracy that brought anime and such to the western world. Without it, things wouldn't have evolved into what they are today. And while I make conscious decisions to avoid piracy and look for legal means of watching anime, I don't wholly condemn the practice. I like to believe that most people who pirate do it because there is no other legal means for them to obtain it that's easier. I'm sure that there are people who pirate simply because they believe they can, but those are few and far between. I mean, Game of Thrones is known for being one of the most pirated shows in recent history, but it still makes enough money to continue telling the story.
Original impression? Current impression? What's the furthers you traveled from home? Have you seen "Noah"? If you have, what are your thoughts? If you have not, are you interested?
Around these parts, I believe we call that Low Quality Bait.
See what you started?! Now she's going to go on about how she's saying screw you to your no, bang your daughter, be a permanent fixture in your life and wonder why you say no again. god dammit I hate this song
Look at it this way: I drank coke all my life. All the baby picture I have that's how a baby bottle, there's coke in there. I was also a very sick kid, born with a bad heart. I made it to just over 20 years with that heart. And I drank A LOT of coke.
It's all actually Twilight Town

http://scarrednobody.tumblr.com My blog consists of anime, movies, medical stuff, and merciless bashing of The Fault In Our Stars. And I sometimes make jokes.

Finally, someone who speaks English.
I know it's not your intention, but as a storyteller, I find this insulting. He's not talking about teaching lessons like toddler shows do; those are completely different things. One of the first thing I learned in screen writing was the importance of theme. Every good story, let it be in movies or television to whatever, has a central focus. It brings in two opposing forces, shows both sides, and asks the audience what they took from this. Most shows for kids, teen, YA shows in right now don't have any focus. It just good set piece to set piece, joke to joke. It's firm to like it, but it has no substance. However, I've been watching Girl Meets World with my younger siblings, and I'm pleasantly surprised by how they try to avoid the cheap joke and try to have strong emotional moments. Yeah, sometimes they have jokes that really don't work, but I feel that's more for the audience that wants mindless entertainment, simply because they want to those people watching so they have good ratings. They are trying to make something good that does teach lessons, and trying is the whole point.
Find then, there's programming with effort and programming that is just flat out lazy. It's okay to like or dislike both; I'm someone who definitely favors something that has effort put into it. The shows that are on there that pander to certain audiences, I find those as lazy because they refuse to take any risks and reach for low hanging fruit. If people who are working behind the scenes aren't going to put any effort into making something meaningful, then I'm not wasting my time watching it. Will the programming that goes for the low hanging fruit get stronger ratings; most likely. A lot of people see television as something to put on and be completely meaningless. While there is a loud outcry for people to give thought provoking things a chance and call out lazy creators on their BS, the mass audience doesn't care. It's the same reason why Edge of Tomorrow, a smart science fiction film, which got great feedback from critics, and is probably one of the best of the year is one of the biggest financial flops of the summer while Transformers 4, a film that doesn't try at all, and got terrible reviews, is probably the highest grossing film of the year.
