Ohh, there are many parts that stand out. Most of my favorites parts come from episode 10, which is where my favorite moment comes from. It's in one of the flashbacks where they're at the end of the battle with the giant witch, with Homura and Madoka are dying (or similar to dying). Madoka saves Homura, and her last wish for for Homura to kill her so she doesn't turn into a witch. When you see that shot fired, and that heart breaking scream, you know that she is completely broken. And I think that's also when she really becomes cold and she ditches her glasses in the next iteration. She is no longer blind to the world.
