Turn-based always makes me want to do number crunching especially when level ups give some amount of customization when it comes to stat growth. I guess since it's easier to make a turn-based game there's usually more leftover for a story and other things besides combat. Bravely Default is a very obvious example of one of the more recent great turn-based games. You could even influence the flow of combat! Want to have four turns in a row? Stock up on turns by defending or just use four turns up now and put yourself in "turn debt". Not many turn-based games give you that kind of flexibility. Still, some of the best RPGs out there are ARPGs. One of the earliest being Secret of Mana. So many feels. So many. My personal favorite "recent" ARPGs had combat that put many others to shame(looking at you Skyrim). Dragon's Dogma. Climbing on big monsters instead of hacking away at their ankles? Yes. Chopping heads off a hydra? Yes. Climbing on a flying dragon to bring it crashing down? YES. ARPGs just put you so much closer to the action. It just feels more...real being a part of it than by taking turns. Especially when turn-based gets ridiculous and a boss throws a world-ending nuke at the party only to be dodged by the generic "step back" dodge animation. Pfft. That's amusing but it breaks immersion. Plus, how many bad guys out there would willingly take turns smacking the hero? Yeah, that's a silly question but I feel it's worth asking. Anyways, ARPGs win for me. Hands down. ...I refuse to play Pokemon ever again until Gamefreak fixes the core gameplay. I need to steal other people's Pokemon. Stop giving me the whole "trainer blocked your Pokeball" bull, dammit.
Rock Band 4 will be at E3 this year. Kotaku I think I have Rock Band 2...or 3. But, while it was fun, playing guitar was just never satisfying(probably because it's nothing like playing a real guitar). Still, exciting stuff for those who really enjoyed the series. Those guitars still seem to be rocking(all the pun) that Fender design.
Terry had left almost immediately after numbers were passed about with little of his attention focused on the rest of the introductions. They were an interesting group of people, sure, but performances always left him wanting to head back to his comfort zone. It was a bit of a long walk before he reached his apartment. Well it wasn't all his apartment as he shared the place with two other roommates. Sometimes three. It was a good thing there were others to share payments with too, the place was too big and well-situated for him to pay for it on his own. The two that normally stayed there were a brother and sister, both about ten years older than him, and had well paying jobs of their own. Thankfully, their longtime primary hobby was in music. The brother playing guitar and his sister on bass. The third roommate was in and out of town a lot but when he was around, he completed the mix with an electronic drum kit. Terry slumped back on the couch and tugged his tie loose. He rested his feet on the guitar case hiding under the coffee table as he scrolled through the new contacts listed in his phone. That blue-haired girl, Lexi, that he helped out against the brassists had actually been from--no, it wasn't her. He stared at the other names trying to recall who was from Origo like him. There was at least two...or more. His memory was fuzzy. He shrugged it off and tossed the phone on the table and pulled the guitar case out from underneath, unlocking it to reveal his prized possession. Yet another eight string guitar. However this one had far more thought placed into its design as it was custom made for him and the price tag attached to it really showed it off. The woods used to construct the guitar were dark and even aggressive in appearance while being accented by its golden hardware. The guitar was of a longer scale length than the one he brought with him to performance. 27 inches on the smaller scale length and reaching nearly 29 inches on the longer side encroaching on bass territory in terms of size. He was satisfied with playing it without the need to hook it up to an amp due to how loud it was acoustically. The sheer clarity of every note sounded out just like a piano. The tone was a bit on the higher side of the spectrum and extremely defined but it was exactly what he aimed for. His left hand alternated between chords while his right tapped on the fretboard. Who needs another guitarist when you can be both rhythm and melody? Still, practicing did little to calm his nerves. Eventually as his exhaustion grew and his mistakes began to accumulate he knew it was time to turn in for the night.
Wondering why there hasn't been a response to this yet...I'll bite. A human going to a place with less gravity would be able to lift things of greater mass but if we're talking about a being from said planet, no they would not be stronger. Actually they'd be weaker due to their bodies having adapted to a low gravity environment. It happens with anyone who goes to space for extended periods of time. Humans lose a lot of bone mass and come back all bloated and nasty. So yes, you'd technically be stronger for a while but stay there for too long and you'd be as weak as an 80 year old with brittle bones.
Cisgender is a redundant category if you have "Male" and "Female" already there along with the Transgender options. It should be understood that Male/Female are cisgender(unless people want to disagree that it's not the norm). Seems like quite a few could be combined. Aren't non-binary and genderqueer pretty much the same thing? I don't like the word cisgender. Sounds weird. Cis sounds like it's just going to lead into "cyst". Dammit I'm not a cystgender. Seriously though, it might be technically correct to call myself cisgender male because I was born male and identify that way, but it's just too wordy and just sounds wrong. As for the rest of the genders that fall outside...it just seems like people might fight amongst themselves as to what they even mean and what's really interchangeable. "Dammit I'm Two Spirit not Third Gender you backwards-thinking monster!" Personally, I just refer to everyone by their sex when I know it(rare on the internet) because I don't care for how people identify themselves as. It's not that I'm not against people identifying themselves as other genders, I just don't care about their dozens of labels. Though I'll be seriously amused if people start fighting about who should be called "Two Spirit". I had to look it up, and while it makes sense, it just sounds like something only the most hippy of hippies would call themselves.
New trailer. Yum.
1:04:16 – Final Fantasy Type-0 HD gameplay 1:37:18 – Final Fantasy XV (Xbox One version) gameplay 1:41:21 – Final Fantasy XV dungeon trailer 2:04:18 – Final Fantasy XV “World of Wonder” wildlife trailer Thanks to Gematsu for giving timestamps. Also, I want Tabata's shirt. So cool. The demo has a level cap of 99. Also, there's thoughts going about in the development team on whether or not there will be a feature to change how much blood there will be or DLC to increase the game's rating(a second M game in Final Fantasy?). Also, trailers for those who want to skip past interviews. The demo will be about 5 gigs.
I'll adjust your mom's clock. Ohhhh sick burn. ...It's DST this soon? *checks calendar* It's not the 1st. *checks google* Yup. Definitely not. It's on the 8th.
Spoiler: Open at your own risk
I like this. Let's roll with it. So Aizen must out-troll Yhwach(man, I wish his name was still being translated as Juha). Butterfly versus ...a German...not...butterfly?
That's exactly why I loved Aizen. He was so OP...just because. WHEN WERE YOU UNDER THE IMPRESSION I WASN'T USING IT? WHEN WERE YOU UNDER THE IMPRESSION AIZEN WOULDN'T COME BACK? WHEN WERE YOU- Honestly, Bleach has been getting boring lately with nothing happening. It's as if the pre-fight talks from DBZ were magnified 100 fold. Recent chapter finally made things more interesting.
Just came in here to say...yes they can. Happens all the time. But it's silly to have them in simple fractions.
So the game is only 5 hours long. Probably 6 if you take your time. Source
I use a Tesoro SAINT G3NL. Aluminum body, brown switches, and just overall really freaking awesome. Comes in both a standard silver metal color and black. It has a few illumination settings, a handful of extra function keys, a built-in microphone and headphone port and an extra usb port. Also it has some really nice sturdy rubber stands so you can have the keyboard flat, slightly elevated, or slightly more elevated(what I use). It's not the quietest keyboard but if you're wanting brown I'm pretty sure you don't care about the noise.
You'd only have to save if you live in Japan. Arcades are dead everywhere else. Dammit Japan, the 80's were 30 years ago. It's so strange knowing that arcades still make money there. As cool as it looks, I'm not sure how RPG elements would work on the Arcade. Without being able to take up time setting up your character's moves and equipment...Dissidia would lose a lot of its flavor. If it doesn't have those elements, then if it gets ported to consoles then its lifespan would solely depend on the competitive crowd and there'd be close to 0 replayability. And what about a story mode anyways? Can't imagine there'd be anything but less of a focus on that now. Shiny new graphics, new characters, and 3v3 battles are all great but if everything else from the previous games are cut then that novelty will wear off fast. That being said...dammit I want Type-0 characters in it.
The Prince from Prince of Persia as Beck? ...Oddly fitting. Really hope Mighty No. 0, if/when it comes out and if No. 0 needs a VA, has Lucas Gilbertson as his VA. Would be so perfect.
Ishimoto put up new songs since Libre posted. But here's the ones everyone needs to hear. Quiet Bloodbath used to be Peaceful Fighting...but with how much the song is changed I'm agreeing with the name change. I mean...damn. It's amazing. Ukata is a totally new song. Not in the original game afaik. And it's definitely not in the original game's OST. I like it! These songs needed to be posted. And for comparison: (Aka, Quiet Bloodbath)
Apparently a Rising 2 game was not teased according to Kojima. Never played a Metal Gear game(aside from a demo stuffed alongside a Zone of the Enders game) but I found this so amusing. Rising 2 confirmed to be a movie. Dammit just make ZoE3 already.
Holy f***. Apostles of the Crystal(changed to Servant for some reason) is way more intense now. And I knew Machina's theme would be one of the first released! Added ambient guitar parts and major improvement to the drums. I thought the original soundtrack was pretty metal...but then Ishimoto turned it up to 11 for the HD version. Everything sounds so much...huger. These tracks better be in the collector's edition CD! In fact, all of them should be. But they won't. ;_;
Posting here because Type-0 was mentioned. No other reason.
