hm i've never seen them as high heel feet ever from what i can remember off the top of my head, the zeta line is the only one with high heel feet like that. and they lend themselves much better to a transformed state than something like wing gundam which looks likes it's stretching its toes

put yourself in the mindset of 2008 when the only jokers who had been on screen looked like bleached dapper gentlemen (I can think of maybe 1 that wasn't this and it was in a cartoon nobody watched). nolan's joker was the first on screen to deviate from that, and as with anything (including this new joker), different scares people and gives something to criticize to those eager to hate.

in which i gush over Char's Counterattack this is not going to be articulate. my brains like half dead rn I watched cca today for the second time in something like 5 years. The first time I watched it I hated it. Having watched it a second time, I think it's the best Gundam thing out there. This is something I've been experiencing a lot lately. I'll go back to things I watched long ago and find so many things that I didn't pick up on before. I guess this is to be expected, but it really is amazing how dramatically different your opinions can be when your primary interest is story and character and stuff, compared to your younger self who didn't even know what that was. The big thing about the film that's hard to get over is Quess Paraya. She and Hathaway were the main reason I didn't like it the first time I watched it. Quess is such a good character. She's without a doubt the most unlikable character I've ever seen, but that's the point. I still don't like Amuro very much. He's basically there to spout the typical Japanese anime idealistic platitudes that don't mean anything and detract from the actually interesting ideas coming from people like Char (who is now one of my favorite characters). the animation is gorgeous. so so gorgeous. even if you don't care about Gundam, watch it for the animation is nothing else.

harley quinn looks terrible harley quinn looks/is terrible anywhere outside of Paul Dini's creations they're all very underwhelming with little immediately discernible differences -- i can see this being one of those movies where general audiences complain about not knowing who they're looking at like in transformers. I don't want to say I'm "dreading" this movie but it's the closest I've ever been. will smith needs to get rid of that confused expression. i'm not a deadshot expert but confused is not what I think of when I think of the character. this is better. but it will probably only be in the film for all of two seconds so will smith can get more face time
