Here you go, my faithful readers! Chapter eleven: Breaking Point "It's all my fault! Not anybody else's! If I hadn't shown that orb to her, she wouldn't be controlled by the Darkness!" "It's not your fault, Tori. She could've been forced-" Sora intreuppted, trying to grab Tori's wrist. "-I Don't care! I was stupid for doing that! Stupid!" "She was kidnapped! Don't you know that?!" Sora stood, his face pained. "It wasn't her choice! In fact, I bet she was going to apologize to you! But, you're in here beating yourself up about something I bet would never even happen again!" He stood in front of Tori, his arms crossed. Tori's eyes narrowed. "Well, you're her stupid, gullible boyfriend! Shouldn't you be thinking of a way to get us out of here?!" He looked around quickly. "Oh, wait. You aren't thinking about ways to save her, you're thinking about arguing with me. Aren't you?!" "Stop it! Just Stop it!" Mia yelled, her hands over her ears. "Stop! You're both worrying about who Nathalia isn't going to forgive and who she is. Well, if I know one thing, it's that she wouldn't forgive either of you." Her eyes watered a bit, but she kept going. "It's not any of your faults. It just isn't. So don't fight over her, save her! She could be losing her heart, and you two are bickering like crazy!" There was a long silence as Sora and Tori looked at the crying Mia. "Just....save my sister....before she gets hurt...." Donald qwacked from his and Goofy's cell. "Yeah, Sora! If I were in there I'd be thinking of a plan-!" "Sush!" Sora shot back, his hand on Mia's head. "You care a lot about your sister, don't you?" "Yeah! She took care of me, when mom was in the hospital. She made sure I had a bed, food and shelter over me. Nathalia's.....like...like my second mom. And I can't lose her! I don't want to lose another person in my family!" Sora nodded, turning toward Tori. "Well, whip out your giant oversized key and unlock that cell door." He commanded, his face looking a little tired. Sora turned and summoned his keyblade. "If this works you won't hear another word from me." Tori joked, standing next to him. "Well, I'd love for that to happen!" Sora countered, watching as his keyblade turned a bright light. In a few short seconds, a beam of light shot out to the lock on the cell door and unlocked it, making it swing open. Tori stared, open mouthed, at the door as Mia skipped out, her hair going all over the place. "Come on!" She yelled, stopping at Donald and Goofy's cell. "Ha! Don't get to talk now, huh bigshot?" Sora teased, unlocking his partners door. "Yeah, never underestimate the keyblade!" ******* Adrianna leaned back in her dark chair, smiling wickedly. "Nathalia? Can you send out the pet?" She asked, chuckling darkly. "It's chew toys are escaping." Dark Nathalia nodded, her mouth turning into a sinster grin. Cupping her hands to her mouth, she whistled, long and high. Then, a small tremor shook the castle. Suddenly, it got bigger, until a large Heartless appeared at the balacony to Adrianna's room. It had a dog-like body, with sharp, silver talons for claws, a fire-breathing snout, and bright orange eyes. It roared, letting Dark Nathalia pet its huge head. Leaning down to whisper in its ear, Dark Nathalia said, "Take care of So..." She stopped in mid sentence, shivering. Her skin turned back to its original color, as her eyes did earlier. "Take care of Adrianna when I tell you to." The Heartless nodded, disappearing into a puff of smoke. Little did Adrianna know, her Princess of Darkness was slowly taking over her. ****** Riku sighed, his hair falling over his eyes. "Tell me why we're doing this." As the Gummi Ship flew toward Disney Castle, Tidus grinned. "Cause I wanna see what Sora's new girlfriend looks like." He leaned in and whispered, "If she's hot, and she breaks up with him, I'm gonna get the rebound!" "Ouch!" Tidus held the red bump on his head. Selphie smiled mischievously, holding up the magazine she was reading. "Don't get perverted!" "I wasn't! I was just saying....!" He voice got small as Selphie chased him around the ship. Wakka sighed, grinning a little. "I'll go make sure she doesn't rip his throat out." That left Riku and Kairi alone, neither saying anything. Finally, it was Kairi who broke the silence saying, "So where do you think they are?" "Don't know. They could be anywhere in this universe. But, once we ask King Mickey, he'll be able to point us in the right direction. Right?" "I guess." Kairi looked down at her hands, thinking. "Say....Riku? Do you think he makes her happy?" "Are you still wondering about how he's treating her?" He asked, a small smirk on his face. "I bet he treats her just the same as he used to with you." "......He better be. Or, I'll have to tell that Lazy Bum to take her out to dinner." She joked, a smile replacing her small frown. "You mean, take us ALL out to dinner! If he's taking her out, I wanna see him slip up." Riku grinned, his eyes closing. A couplde of seconds later, Riku looked back into the Gummi. "Where are those three?" He asked, getting up out of the pilot chair. "I dunno. Wanna see where they went?" Kairi ran to the back, looking over her shoulder and calling, "I'll race you!" "....No fair! You got a head start!" He followed after, laughing just a little. 'Kairi hasn't changed at all. Well I guess...me neither...I wonder...' "Riku, you slowpoke! I found them!" Kairi was just up ahead, waving a bit. When Riku caught up, he looked inside the room. Tidus was sprawled on the floor, Selphie's foot on his head. She was yelling at him, probably calling him a pervert or a player, like he was used to. Wakka was on the bed, laughing hard. Kairi giggled softly, trying not to be heard. "Come on, they aren't gonna do anything else. Let's go." Suddenly, her hand brushed up against his, making them both blush. "Sorry." She apologized, her cheeks turning a little red. "You don't have to be." Riku turned so that his back was toward her. "Listen...Kairi, remember when you lost your heart and Sora and I had different ways of getting it back?" "Yes. Why would you ask?" "...The reason I turned toward the Darkness was because I was jealous. Jealous of not only Sora, but his relationship with you. You two always seemed to be closer than I was with you. And you payed more attention to him. That made me feel a little angry and resentful. I know I shouldn't have, but I couldn't help but feel like that." "....Riku..." Kairi put her hand on his shoulder. "I- I didn't know you felt that way about me..." Riku turned back a fraction of a degree. "I still do. And I know you probably don't." Kairi smiled tenderly. "I've always kinda liked you a little better you know. But, when Sora and I broke up, I started to fall for you." Riku blushed even more, making his cheeks turn a deep red. "I guess that's why love doesn't really last. Sometimes, you meet someone, thinking they're the one....and then, you find someone else..." She went on, tilting her head a bit. "But, I think...after Sora....You may be that someone else Riku." Suddenly, Riku turned and wrapped his arms around her. Kairi was taken back by this gesture, but slowly wrapped her arms around him too. "Riku and Kairi sittin in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G!" Two voices sang, making the two jump back from each other in shock. Selphie and Tidus were at the door frame, laying down side by side on the floor, looking up at them. "Oh Riku, I've fallen for you!" Selphie teased, imitating a voice close to Kairi's. "Oh, Can you get up Kairi?" Tidus joked, his voice turning deep. He cracked up at his own joke-then looked at the others when he realized he was the only one laughing. "What?" He asked, his eyes innocent and wide. Selphie face palmed herself in humiliation, sighing. "Don't ever. Do that. Joke again." "Awww, but you know how weird those commericals are!" He whimpered as she pulled him back to the front by his ear. "Those two ought to be together themselves, ya?" Wakka told himself, walking out the door with a sly grin. Kairi laughed as she walked away. "Wait just a second, you." Riku called, walking up to her. "So, I have a question. Are....we...y'know?" "Yeah. And you know what?" Kairi turned, a bold smile on her face. "I'd like to meet you on Saturday, if you aren't busy." "Why?" Riku scratched his head in confusion. "Oh, it's our first date. Isn't it?" And with that, the Princess of Heart walked off to the control room. Haugh! Long chapter, but its worth it. *Cracks knuckles proudly* Yeah, I'm liking The Riku and Kairi Couple right now.
*Covers mouth* Mmph! I can't tell you anything! Don't tempt me!
