Actually, being overweight can lead to diseases... But, still, you're right. All this propaganda about becoming better and better, and better, and thinner, and thinner, and thinner has to stop. Being underweight can harm you just as much as being overweight can... And besides, some times it's just not in your genes to be thin. I know - my aunt has slow metabolism, and no matter how much she works out and eats right, she can't sem to drop a pound. So yeah. Start your petition or whatever.
