    There's a minimum character limiter on here for a reason. Replying with a useless 'OK' isn't going to help anyone, nor does it add anything worthwhile to the thread, hence it's just another spam post. A little common sense goes a long way, you know.

    And yes, I haven't seen much code related talk at all in the last few pages of this thread. Though, to be honest, I'm not quite sure what 'Coding' really pertains to these days. I trust that some of the older members, and of course the other coders here know what's relevant to discussion here, though, so I'll leave it for you to decide.

    Active works like the normal room mod from KH1/2. Activate it, walk through a door. Frankly, I couldn't be bothered to find jokers [and now I can't, har har], so someone else will have to hack those. Passive works a little differently; when you're saving with the Passive version on, the Room that the Save Data records you in is changed. So if it's set to Destiny Islands, and you save, when you reload that save, you'll be in Destiny Islands. A bit tricky to use properly, but useful in certain situations.

    I think I tried that before, there was a problem with it IIRC.
    I'm pretty sure it's part of the opening FMV, and as said previously, FMV's just revert you back to the main menu.

    Well, the thing is, triggering an FMV during gameplay via the room mod just makes it go back to the main menu when you skip it or it finishes. Are there any cutscenes, beside the last one with riku and sora, which actually use that map?

    It does nothing to his eyes. You sure you're not just seeing things?

    I've figured it out - It's definately not a problem with the map itself, It's the way I load the fight. I tried doing the exact same thing, but kept the room the same, and it still crashed. It must be missing some data, since I'm basically just using theatre mode + room flag mod. There's clearly not enough data there for the battle to load, i.e It doesn't know what abilities and stats sora's supposed to have etc.

    ...The only way I can think to do it is to load a saved game up, and somehow get the map string mod working while playing.

    Oh, and I tried the movie mode code, didn't make a difference.

    Just a quick something to show everyone who still comes here/ remotely cares that I haven't forgotten about KHII.

    You may have seen a couple of pictures of this before, but I thought I may as well just make a short video to capture what I want to be able to hack. If there's one thing I want to do before I give up with this game, It's explore this map ingame. After watching the first few seconds of the BBS secret ending a while back, it seems as though, for some reason, the dark margin is definitely a more important place than I'd thought.

    I wonder what's stopping us playing in there...

    What exactly are you trying to do? It looks like you've tried to convert this:
    102B6AE8 000000WW
    102B6AF0 000000RR
    102B6AF4 000000FF

    plus some other stuff into a code

    WW, RR and FF are digit markers that need to be replaced with actual digits, where WW = World, RR = Room and FF = Flag.
    Flags aren't documented as there are multiple flags for every room, and a list would be pretty long, not to mention boring to compile. However, A list of world and room digits are available on the first page of this thread under the "Room Mod" section, and you can just try different flags until you get the one you want.

    EDIT: I've figured it out, You're trying to "Convert" a code from another region to PAL?
    It won't work. You're either going to need to port it, ask someone to rehack it, or find out what each line of code does and find the PAL equivalent.

    Tried, failed. I wasn't really sure what I was doing - I've never really been much of a breakthrough hacker. All I managed to do was switch Xemnas' lightsaber effect with another of his own effects. Thing is, the one I replaced it with is only supposed to play once and dissapear, and that's exactly what it did, so you could only see it at the beginning of battle for half a second. Also, a lot of replacements just crash, so I'm not sure if it's even possible without crashing.
    I do need some new codes to make though.
