prob because they will use microtransactions instead lolol.
What do you guys think about this news? Is the zombie apocalypse coming early? Should I start preparing survival supplies?
I mean, playing Garrus could be okay, I wouldn't "mind" if they did that (you know how much I love Garrus), but at the same time I think they should just move forward with the story instead of taking a side-road. On the flip side - Kai Leng??????? Really??????? He was one of the weakest characters in the entire game (even though they did set him up in Mass Effect Evolution), I don't think I could play an entire game as Kai Leng much less take it seriously. The problem with these ideas is that they are going back to the graphic novels - the Kai Leng idea, the Garrus, Aria, and Illusive Man ideas are all comics that are "okay". I have read them and to base an entire game on something like that just doesn't strike me as interesting as let's say, a sequel would.
look at my post count:

Half Life 3 confirmed.
About 150 people were laid off from LucasArts after Disney decided to shut down the company down. LucasArts will now focus on licensing games rather than making them. Disney says that their current games could be sold out to a different publisher, though that is probably an unlikely occurrence. Their studio already put a freeze on making games last month so many people working for the company knew it was only a matter of time before they put the final nail in the coffin.
It's a shame too, because I was really looking forward to Star Wars: 1313. Definitely the grittier direction that would have fit Star Wars perfectly.
You can read more about it here or here.
Square Enix Europe files trademark in the United States for something called Lara Croft: Reflections. There isn't much information on this yet, but due to the fact that all Tomb Raider DLC will be multiplayer focused (with no plans to make single player DLC at this time), I have a feeling it might be a mobile game or something along the lines of Uncharted or Assassin's Creed with their Vita versions.
So many of you already know that the Saint's Row: The Third expansion pack "Enter The Dominatrix" was cancelled and plans were made to have it turned into a full blown sequel. Now we have news that (much to my delight) the next Saint's Row game will be released August 20, 2013 for North America, August 23, 2013 for the rest of the world. This August release is for CURRENT GEN CONSOLES and PC.
Teaser Trailer below:

Personally I am excited for the next installment of Saint's Row. I was actually talking about this with a friend the other day and it's great that I didn't have to wait long before some news rolled in. Kinda "eh" about it still being set in Steelport as I was hoping for a new location but you never know. The thing about Enter The Dominatrix is that the Saints are put in a virtual reality version of Steelport from what I understand so things will be a lot more ridiculous this time around (considering how they are adding SUPERPOWERS). Saint's Row 2 was probably my favorite in terms of balanced gameplay/craziness/story, but I loved Saint's Row: The Third for its graphical improvements and smoothness, etc. Are you guys excited for it/which is your favorite Saint's Row? I figured I'd get sort of a discussion going (LOL). Also do you think this timing is good? Considering how GTA V is now pushed back to September 17, 2013 and Saint's Row is a more ridiculous version of GTA.
I figured I would make this thread considering how news is always popping up about new Mass Effect games and EA likes to spit out games faster than a bat flying out of hell so I'm sure we'll hear a lot about it regardless.
*Mass Effect 4 is a working title and logo above is unofficial* RELEASE: TBA T R I L O G Y - B A C K G R O U N D: Ever since the beginning of the Mass Effect Trilogy that began with Mass Effect's release in 2007 and ended with Mass Effect 3 this past March, fans knew it would be just that...a trilogy with Commander Shepard taking lead as the main protagonist. Obviously response to Mass Effect 3 has been less than exemplary especially due to its controversial ending, which led many fans (aka what the gaming journalistic media called a "vocal minority") to garner support for a change in how they saw their Shepard's story come to a close (hoping for the 16 different endings that were advertised prior to launch). The Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut was released June 26, 2012 for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC worldwide and in North America and July 4, 2012 for PS3 in Europe. With little change, some fans were content, others displeased or plain old pissed off. Due to the fact that no ending of Mass Effect 3 - Destroy, Control, Synthesis, or Refuse is considered canon people saw it as BioWare cornering themselves story-wise for any future games with the same logo. Casey Hudson, the series' director, stated that the universe is so vast that there are many opportunities and directions that future plots can take. A N N O U N C E M E N T - T I M E L I N E:
2007-2012: Mass Effect Trilogy featuring Commander Shepard as main protagonist
September 18, 2012: Official BioWare blog post detailing BioWare founders Ray Muzyka's and Greg Zeschuk's retirement from the company. Also there is official word about Casey Hudson's involvement in the future of Mass Effect at this time in another blog post stating:
October 19, 2012: News that the next Mass Effect (working title) will NOT feature Commander Shepard or a "Shepard 2" character with a similar personality/goals.
November 12, 2012: Official BioWare blog post by Yanick Roy, studio director at BioWare Montreal states that Frostbite* will be the new engine of the future Mass Effect game and that it is already in development.
November 19, 2012: Mass Effect game director Casey Hudson tweets and asks fans for feedback on whether the next Mass Effect game should be a prequel or a sequel then thanks fans for their thoughts. Click here to take a poll on IGN and see results from more than 30,000 fans.
Unsurprisingly, thoughts for a sequel greatly outweigh prequel fans 20,000+ to around 8,000 give or take.
December 12, 2012: According to an interview with Gamer Syndrome the next installment should not be expected until late 2014 to mid-2015. **Source proven as false**
March 23, 2013: Mentioned at PAX East, Casey Hudson states that they are in the developing stages of the next Mass Effect game. Not really any new information, but good to know they are working on it.
*Note: For those who are unaware, the Frostbite engine was developed by DICE, the creators of the Battlefield series. The untitled Mass Effect game will be third person-shooter/roleplaying with multiplayer and use Frostbite 3.0, the same engine that was debuted in the Battlefield 4 trailer/gameplay in March 2013. To put it in perspective, Mass Effect 3 used Unreal Engine 3.
i've been sf busy trying to get apps in for a program i'm doing spring semester of college since they are due oct. 1st but other than that i've been working out a lot trying to be fabulous max for fall u know. i've reached my first goal weight thingy for exercising everyday for a month so far for 3+ hours and as a reward i told myself i'd by a game.
SO KHV WHAT SHOULD I BUY? i've been thinking borderlands since i've never played that but are there some other good game options i should consider?
Executive Producer Casey Hudson and his team are coming off an amazing eight-year run with the Mass Effect trilogy. But they’re not done yet.
Cool more ME stuff, although I pretty much knew about the Omega DLC because it was in the files from Leviathan. Aria might be a potential/temp squad mate to help her retake Omega from Cerberus but idk they haven't released many details besides this teaser image:
Looks like a collector ship but it could be something else. Though I'm leaning towards collectors since it has the same shape.
Discuss, my children.
They are so desperate it's laughable. At least Valve has enough sense to say "I'd rather have it disintegrate than merge".
okay you have no idea how scary it is to be part japanese and going to japan and seeing things like this. SPARE ME. I think once I read the "watashi wa have a small question to ask" I died a little inside.
Sooooo this is being made, as everyone already knows. Buuuuuut Assassin's Creed THE MOVIE -cue explosions- will be having none other than Michael Fassbender produce and star as Desmond Miles. I mean, movie adaptations of games usually fall flat on their face (lololol Prince of Persia) but at least if this one does it can with Michael Fassbender, right? He's cute. RIGHT?! Apparently he was Ubisoft's first choice.

Personally I like Michael Fassbender, but I'm curious to see who will be playing the Assassin since Desmond is mostly sitting in the Animus the entire time. Unless Michael will be playing both, buuuut I'm not sure all we know now is that he is attached to the upcoming film. What do you lovely people think??? At least Ubisoft Motion Pictures is doing all the work, not some other movie studio.
*jk moved it to Movies/Media lol ignore this.
i decided to test out my brother's tablet for giggles. these are two OCs, i kinda just drew them without anyone specific in mind. they both are intentionally cartooney so the "realistic" proportions shouldn't really apply here..i think lol. anywho, just thought i'd show you all my doodles :3
