A fashionably late podcast, just for you!

This week the KH-Vids Podcast reaches a milestone with our one hundredth episode! @Misty, @libregkd, and @Calxiyn along with staff guest @Plums, host our former podcast maestro @Peace and War to reminisce on the history of the KH-Vids Podcast -- to look at where we've been and where we are going!

We begin by covering a small update Tetsuya Nomura gave on the development of Kingdom Hearts III in an interview with OPM UK about the upcoming Final Fantasy VII Remake. We also respond to his comments regarding Square's plans (or lack thereof?) to bring the Kingdom Hearts HD Remixes to the PlayStation 4.

Moving along, we go through a brief history of the beginnings of the KH-Vids Podcast, stretching all the way back to 2010, when @Sabby, @Mike, and @Korra recorded our very first episode. @Peace and War then shares stories of his time at the helm of the KH-Vids Podcast, followed by your current line-up of hosts sharing some insight about the changes we have made to the podcast since we took over. We list some of our favorite and least favorite things about running the Podcast, and each name the best episode we feel we've been apart of!

As always, we answer user-submitted questions! @Graxe suggests alien abduction while @Scarred Nobody tries (and fails) to punch holes in @Misty 's love for Star Wars. We also take a Table Topics on the polite way to juggle two conflicting invitations.

This week we want to hear from you -- the listeners! We want to know what your favorite episodes have been and what you would like to hear (or see!) us do more of here at the KH-Vids Podcast. Finally, we would like to extend an enormous thank you to all our fans, new and old, for supporting the podcast as you do, even if it's by just a simple listen every week. Thank you for being there and helping us reach one hundred episodes -- here's to one hundred more!

First thing: Django Unchained is a great great film.

@Misty, I'm a facetious *******. You know this about me. My cousin had me watch the original trilogy two weekends ago when I stayed at his place. While I do like the films, my main problem comes from the fanbase. That's where I get my main issues.

And the make out comment came from my cousin, who enjoys Star Wars a lot more than I do.

And again, I just asked because I like to be a facetious little prick. XD

But R2xC3P0 are a better OTP than Han and his Leia-Sempai

Second thing: Until Dawn would be like Heavy Rain if David Cage actually admitted he was being creepy and made a good game.

      Shots fired.

HAN AND LEIA ARE PRECIOUS DON'T YOU TRY THROWING DIRT AT THEIR BEAUTY

      Leia: I love you.
Han: It's not like I like you or anything, b-b-b-baka.

That's right Han is the greatest Tsundere of all. Scruffy looking nerf herder as he is.

I've not seen it, like I think I said. I'm not much of a Tarantino fan. I do really love Kill Bill Vol 1 though.
It's all good! I appreciate the questions as they give me an opportunity to talk about Star Wars, one that I don't have to invent for myself. They are ridiculous movies sometimes and I love them for it.
The "I love you" / "I know" exchange is adorable and I will not have any shenanigans regarding it

haha I really wished I was on here the podcast this episode but the time difference made it really difficult to join. First off, I was with Gundams not Transformers.. just saying. There's a difference.

      History
Yeah, so back in 2010 is when I was really motivated to make the podcast happen, I had lots of ideas to throw around. The problem was that it was difficult to organize because everyone had different schedules. So it was a challenge and the lack of Kingdom Hearts news made it difficult. I finally realized I couldn't really do it alone, so I had to delegate some stuff. So our first few episodes were all experimenting with audio volumes, putting it together and trying to fix the sound. I remember that the first podcast took me 3 hours to edit and I did it right after we recorded. Everyone was really interested with the idea. so that made me happy. However, because of the lack of KH news I knew that we would have to add more ideas to make as episodes. So Staff Questions, Chill podcasts and summer mini podcasts happened. Again some of these took a bit longer to get used to and had a year to really mix with it.

University was happening and I going through a difficult time so I wasn't able to commit to my duties as a host anymore so I knew I had to pass it off to good hands so that's when I harassed Peace and War to take it over. I can't tell if he really enjoyed it or was being a really good friend and didn't want to disappoint me. (he totally did BTW .. jk)

      Best/Worst
I really enjoyed our staff podcasts because we had a lot of fun talking to each other and had a lot of laughs. I also was super duper happy when we were able to get some VA interviews because I was just throwing emails around and people eventually replied to me. I was like "oh crap, you ACTUALLY want to talk to us? okay awesome!" So we were able to get Vincent Corazza (Zexion) and Phil Snyder (Jiminy Cricket, taken over after the late Eddie Carroll). I enjoyed all the times I would drag Misty to into a podcast and it's just us talking about our work haha (her at the Theatre and me at Eb Games)

I HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE audio editing and scheduling! I didn't have as strong as a backbone as I would like but i tried to accommodate conflicting schedules. That gave me a lot of stress because I didn't want to disappoint people.

What I like about the podcast now
I don't like that Im not on it lol kidding. It's still hard for me to join these days and also Im told SUPER last minute haha. I don't like that Misty swears even though she yells at everyone to not swear xD

Im happy that this podcast hasn't died off. Really, i was actually afraid that it wasn't going to be taken care of. When i first left it with Peace and War it felt like I was leaving my child with the distant Uncle who i would never see only during family functions. It was hard to leave the podcast, sometimes i regret it and wanted to take it back but that isn't fair to myself and to the others who have it now. I do say that Im happy about how it's changed and where it is going.

I want to say thanks to the staff for keeping committed to this podcast. Even though there have been rough patches between me and a few of you guys, you took care of something that I started and i can't express my thanks for that.

So hopefully I can try to join more podcasts because I do miss it and the people on it (yes Misty, I miss you probably the most)

Sabby of course deserves an enormous thank you and credit for getting the podcast off the ground -- we wouldn't be here without her!
      Sorry I'm not a nerd
Oh man this is definitely one of the worst things about doing the podcast. I've probably changed how we record at least five times. Our current method works pretty well and produces some pretty quality sound for a podcast done over the internet (as opposed to one done in a proper studio). It takes hours to edit each episode still, but because we're doing multi-track recording now, it's a lot easier to level everyone and edit out unnecessary sound etc.
This is 100% my fault and is probably the #1 thing I want to improve upon.
Every time we begin an episode I tell myself that it will be the episode I don't swear on, but we all know how quickly that falls apart.
      bby I know

      Awww :3
Um you TOTALLY ARE A NERD, Misty. You and your Star Wars and Mass effect!
Im glad you guys found something that works because it's hard to find a good flow. Editing still sucks balls. Also nice mention of KHU haha
