What do you guys think of the ridiculous difficulty spike at the end of the game? Was it appropriate?

I mean, sure it might be all fine and dandy for those playing on Beginner or Standard. But It's completely insane on Proud Mode, not to mention if you're doing a low level run >.>

One hit kill freaking lasers my @ss, Nomura. B|

OH. AND NOT TO MENTION THE DROPPING. IN THE FINAL BOSSES.

It took me about 3 hours to clear Travers Town on PROUD mode. I got to the boss with both Sora and Riku and died 5 times a piece....So i rage quitted and started on standard. Still super hard game though.

I think the difficulty depends on the answer you gave that matched the Slephie, Tidus, and Wakka's questions from KH1.

Even leading up to that spike it gets harsh. I mean the battle level starts accelerating in the last few worlds but those worlds seemed shorter to me if anything. I barely made it to the final bosses before grinding but ended up needing to grind anyway. I mean I finished one boss of Riku's in bonus time and then got killed by the next while messing around for the drop. Full to nothing in less then 10 seconds.

Sora's Spellican battle (The fist battle, in Traverse Town, which had 3 - or 2, I may be mistaken - battles in a row) was pretty hard for me.

But TWTNW... that was hard. Especially those Aura Lions. I hated those.

NOT A SPOILER, JUST SOMETHING THAT MAY NOT BE RELEVANT >>>
I even found a Battle Spot (where you link with another Spirit) and there was a Blue Aura lion that came out, which was incredibly hard to beat. Even when I did beat it, it respawned a few seconds later! And the worst part was, it said I'd get a prize if I beat it in 20 seconds! It took me about 5-10 minutes just to beat the first one!

    Also,
    Young Xehanort
battle was quite hard, but I loved it! What's the point in having an easy battle?

    Unfortunately though, I found the
    Nightmare Ventus Armour
very easy. I only died once, and that was only because I wasn't sure what to do in that final attack moment (I thought I had to block, but I didn't)

I was around level 25 or so on proud when I made it to the final world and I hadn't really been caring about Dream Eaters so I had some pretty terrible commands and abilities. All I had going for me was the fact that I had gotten Divewing. Unfortunately I had to grind and am still stuck at the very end.
