Heyo! I made spaghetti. XD I'm gonna post the recipe, and then @DigitalAtlas has promised to post HIS spaghetti recipe too, so if he doesn't, bug him. ;D And then since we're both posting our spaghetti recipes, how about you guys all try and make your special spaghetti recipes and post them - because everyone knows that spaghetti is made super differently everywhere you get it, and mum's recipe is always the best. XD And tell you what, if you guys post your spaghetti recipes, I'll try my best to make them all myself during the rest of this year. And heck, maybe I'll pick a "best spaghetti" winner or something idk I'm making this up as I go. XD The point is, make spaghetti and post the results in this thread! :D

Now, onto my spaghetti recipe. XD It's super simple. Firstly, put water on to boil bc that takes more time than anything else. XD

You take half a Hillshire Farms summer style sausage, and slice it, and then cut the slices into fourths and put them in a saucepan. I also had some onion left over from my last recipe, so I threw a little of that in as well.

Pour a can of spaghetti sauce into it, and liberally season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, a little coriander, a little cayenne, basil, and oregano, and then mix it up and cook on low-medium heat for like five minutes, to get it hot.

Cook up your noodles and strain them, and I also melt butter in them to keep them from sticking.

And then just pour the sauce over a helping of noodles, and there you have it. Super easy spaghetti. XD

(My husband also made easy garlic bread by buttering some opened hamburger buns and sprinkling garlic powder and salt on them, baking for like five minutes at like 250 degrees) XD

Hey all! I've got another super quick, super easy, super cheap recipe for you all! It's called... Well, it's called "Noodly Beef" because like I said, everyone in my fam is super creative, EXCEPT for when it comes to naming recipes. XD

First, cook up a pound of ground beef, liberally seasoned with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and coriander.

While this is cooking, set a pot of water on to boil. Then, once the beef is all cooked, drain the excess grease, dump a can of cream of mushroom soup into it, and return to heat, adding more seasoning to taste. I also threw in some diced onion, because I had it, and it was a really nice addition.

Once the noodles are cooked, strain the water out, and mix in the meat sauce.

And there you have it! Quick, easy, and cheap, and it's really tasty too XD

My meal today!! (pics with and without sauce)

Chicken Thighs with Carrots and New Potatoes (covered in Nando's Lemon & Herb sauce)

This was actually fairly simple to make, and even someone who is as bad at cooking as me can make.

    - If like me you freeze the chicken thighs, remember to take them out to defrost the day before
    - I cut open the skin to get to the chicken below and sprinkle on mixed herbs, salt and pepper, then re-cover the chicken with the skin
    - Put in oven for 30 minutes at about 200 degrees Celsius
    - Peel and cut up carrots
    - Cut up a potato
    - Boil carrots & potatoes together in pan for about 25 minutes (feel free to put the carrots in a bit later depending on how hard you like your carrots)
    - When everything is done, just dish it up and pour sauce or gravy over it (I used Nando's lemon & herb sauce). Also it's quite nice if you put butter on the new potatoes.

Looks delicious, especially coming from someone who loves his potatoes. ;)

So I finally cooked something worth posting (and I even documented it).

I used to have a subscription with a company called SimplyCook. The idea is that you pay a monthly fee and they send you packs of herbs/seasoning and the recipes to go with them. I cancelled my subscription ages ago because I kept receiving these packs and I never made the meals to go with them and they started piling up. Well, they're starting to reach the end of their use by dates so I'm trying to use them. So without further ado...

    Lebanese Lamb with Aubergene Pilaf

    I needed -
    Lamb steaks
    1 aubergine
    1 small onion
    100g basmati rice
    1 tomato
    olive oil
    Honey

    SimplyCook supplied me with -
    Baharat rub
    Lebanese pilaf mix
    Chicken stock

    Cube the aubergine
    Chop the tomato
    Thinly slice the onion
    Rinse the rice

Take the Baharat rub, two tbsp of oil and one tsp of honey, mix it together then layer it on the lamb steaks and set it aside.

Get a tray and spread the aubergine cubes onto it, drizzle two tbsp of oil on it and season it with salt and pepper. Stick it in the oven for about 20 mins.

Heat up one tbsp of oil in a frying pan (one that has a lid) then start frying the onion for a minute or so until it starts to soften and change colour. Separately, add the chicken stock to boiling water and let it sit for a couple of minutes. Add the rice in with the onion, then the pilaf mix, stir for a minute then add the chicken stock. Bring it to boil then let it simmer with the lid on.

Time to get another frying pan, add one tbsp of oil to it then slap that lamb down for two minutes on each side, or more if you don't like it rare to medium rare.

Add the tomatoes to the rice. I also added a splash of boiling water at this point as it was a bit dry. Then get the aubergines from the oven, they should be all soft by this point, and add those in too.

Time to put it all together, et voila!

For the record, it tasted rly rly nice.

I should give an omelette recipe I do sometimes. But it's really just throwing every cheese in the fridge into it, alongside some bacon lol.

    I'm picky.

Lol, 'every cheese plus bacon' doesn't sound TOO picky to me. XD Now, if you were like "I only make my omelets with egg whites, spinach, mushrooms, the finest cheddar, and crumbled italian sausage," I'd say you were picky. XD

If that's what picky is, then I guess I'm not.
