i think it's hilarious how terrain moves are exactly field spells

 

lol i was just playing the game and someone used grassy terrain and i saw that both our hp went up a bit, which i thought was a bit odd and unlike most any other move i've seen (i'm not familiar with terrains), so I looked up the.. effect.. and thought wtf am i playing yugioh now or something. it's crazy how similar they are

 

I never see these in most competitive cases, and I doubt I will until Pokemon get abilities that do these effects on entry (like weather.)

but from what i can tell, terrains are basically garbage competitively. not that they're bad moves per se, they're just.. pointless. they don't really set up for anything and while you're using them you could be using something effective. that said, there's probably some genius 8 year old japanese kid whose figured out some way to use them and wrecks everybody with like a ledian or some ****

friend and i were having a discussion about music and as it was ending I casually asked him what he thought of what's happening with Ferguson and he didn't know what I was talking about.

I'm just worried I won't have enough time to do anything meaningful. I mean, I could make some sort of a sig/avatar theme or write a short drabble. But...I don't know if I'll have the time between work and my other creative ventures and family stuff.

Also, I'm in a bit of a low funk right now.
