Ran a quick errand just now for my mom, and a Ryder truck at an intersection blatantly ran the red light, so they got a nice earful of horn.

No one ever cares that you honk your horn at them. Ever.

I dunno. I beeped at someone a while ago that was backing up into me on our street and they stopped.

Slightly different scenario. Someone that runs a red light is clearly not in the mood to slow down, so they're not gonna suddenly realise the error of their ways and stop, whereas someone that's reversing their car in a narrow street is gonna be a bit more careful more often than not.

Let's see. What else. Honked at a guy the other day when my mom and I were going to my aunt's because he came into my lane.

Other things I typically honk / beep at include:
    • Sitting at a green light
    • Cutting me off, especially if they're going my direction
    • Going out of turn at a stop sign
    • Not letting me merge onto the freeway, which, so far, has been pretty rare

Jesus Amaury, do you live in a purgatory realm of aggressive drivers?

Not really, no. It just sounds like that.

On average, I probably encounter bad drivers just once a week. Sometimes more than once a week, but for the most part, no.

The horn was actually made just for emergencies, not for you to use as an auditory flip off.

Someone needs to calm down when he's driving. The horn is not ur fren.

I think I've only used my horn once? For those of you who know me, my job requires me to go in anywhere from 3am to 5am. Basically a deer was being a derp and would not get off the road, he was cold stiff. Gave him a little beep and he waddled right off.

I have to be pretty pissed off to use my horn -- most of the time the horn doesn't work anyway. I get road rage like everyone else, but I try to remain as chill as possible, because there's just no point. Michael gets scary road rage though. I hate it when he drives. It honestly terrifies me some days.

The police have no problem with several YouTube users going around and recording bad drivers in their state. In fact, most of those people have made it on the news.

Except the people that are recording bad drivers are also being incredibly bad drivers because, oh look, they are recording video on their phones while driving!

They have their phones / cameras on a stand or stuck to the window some other way, so your argument is invalid.

They still have to operate the phone while driving in order to put it on the video camera and set it up on the dashboard and then eventually stop the video.

Wrong again. The cameras automatically restart clips every five minutes, and the previous clip is deleted. If the drivers want to save it, like if it's a bad driver or something interesting, they hit a button that saves it.

I'm sure it's generally the same scenario for everyone. That was for the guy in Portland.

What does that have to do with anything? Maybe you could think about relevance before clicking post?

I still don't see what people recording other people has to do with you misusing your horn because you're mad
