For the New 3DS. Need to make this decision quick. Never played any from any series. Any posts will made within a few minutes will decide it.

Girlfriend and I are at a standoff so KHV becomes the decider

    Xenoblade Chronicles all the way.

I still need to beat mine. I'm about halfway through it, and haven't touched it since because new games kept coming out along with school starting. Don't compare to the Wii though, because you will be a little sad from some of the quality being loss, like unable to tell what a picture in Dunban's room looks like

    Monster Hunter 4.

Xenoblade Chronicles is better on the Wii.

Completely subjective, and I'd rather play a game in its better iteration if possible.

It's not like there's anything bad about playing Xenoblade Chronicles on 3DS. The graphics are only slightly more pixelated. It's like if you were playing an MMO and turning the graphics from High to Medium.

I didn't say it was bad, but it is inferior. There isn't a better version of Monster Hunter 4, in comparison.

It's not a huge contrast of quality between the versions and the games, just so that's understood.

I was kind of torn between the two but was leaning towards Monster Hunter since I haven't played any and wanted to give the gameplay a try (was there one on the PS2? I feel like I rented one for the PS2 as a kid) but Xenoblade is more story driven and I'm more of a story kind of player. She wanted Xenoblade to watch me play it because she recently saw the X trailer and it wowed her. Plus, I wanted to see what the New 3DS was capable of.
Also, they didn't have Majoras Mask.

I'll probably get Monster Hunter myself after the term is over

having lower graphics doesn't make a game inferior. There's plenty of games now that are inferior to games made 10 years ago, and quality now is much better then before

I'm not talking about different games: I'm talking about one game that has two versions. One is, to me, objectively inferior. Again, it's not a big difference, but it is a visible one to me.

Doesn't sound objective to me. They both run exactly as they need to on the hardware that's available to them. One is able to play on a big screen while one is able to play on the go. They both have good controls and graphics. Seems more like it's a personal point instead.

I highly recommend monster hunter. Just to slightly alter the current conversation lol. It's a real thinking man's game with tactics and strategy. Though it can be infuriating at times. But it's a good gamer that can look past the flaws in the games they enjoy ^.+.^

A Wii is objectively stronger than a 3DS. Meaning games on both systems should look and/or at least run better on the Wii.

I think you're taking my comparison of quality too far: I'm literally saying that the difference is small, and if you're unable to play it on the Wii, playing on the New 3DS is just fine.
