"A plan? I confess, Steel, to most you may be a bit of a know-it-all and annoyance, but," Base nodded towards Steel with appreciation, "Your simply, deeply focused. I value you for that." Base looked to Eon next. "Now that we know Maurice is fine, then we can focus all our attention and resources on protecting those we need to. This Gaston will likely have strength in numbers...you mentioned a mob. We are less than a dozen, and although we are each strong, we stand no chance of staving off an attack and protecting Beast and the Belle at once. We need numbers on our side but..." Base rubbed his chin in thought, looking back over his shoulder and at the castle by happenstance. A lightbulb went on in his mind.

"Wait a minute! I know!" Base's face lit up. "We've seen a magical side of this world, Karina." Admitedly, Base knew her solely by name and reputation. He tried to be as confident and congenial as possible to least obstruct a clear view of who he was. "That's what has been going on. And this magic may prove useful to us."

But then Luna's words caught his ears. "We are all on the same side for now."

 

Eon nodded towards Steel. "So you knew there was a mob too. That is definitely going to be an issue. Um, before we go further, I'm Eon by the way." He smiled towards Base and the others whom he had not met before. It was only common curtosy. If they were going to be working together then they needed to at least know each other's names.

That of course was going to be stopped quickly with the topic of Luna and Karina's conflict getting deeper. Eon walked over to Luna and held his arms out to guard Karina. "Now is not the time! Don't be an idiot. We have more important things to worry about than stupid grudges!"

 

Beuce glared at Mim as she bended the rules in her favor. Psh. Man if he knew you could make the rules that broken he would have done MUCH better than that. Like the"okay but we get all three of the evil apprentices and all our keyblade wielding allies and clones of them and the elemental guardians and yen sid in his prime and ALL of the order our entire party has a grow and full deck status and this rule can't be revoked by any means." rule. I mean they could just pendulum summon all that crap right? Invent pendulum summoning in the middle of a fight? No? aw. Well i guess there was no sense crying about it now. Beuce struck a stance that would make one swear he was in street fighter four, then ran at at Mim. He leaped over her rather skillfully and laid a field of mine square around her, as she was now on the ground. He expected stratos to follow up, placing his mine square so the overlapped and they could push her into two at once.

 

Steel watched silently as the group had various problems with "Luna." How they failed to notice her black hair and red eyes was beyond him, but he found it sad that no one noticed it wasn't her. "Alright then, "Luna." He grabbed her arm and pulled her over to a pillar. He sensed Luna's power returning. He turned to the others. "Give us a second." He stated. The two vanished behind the pillar. He turned his attention to her. "We're staying back here until you snap out of it." He whispered calmly.

 

Kross reached the group last and things already started heating up between Karina and the girl he met on the Land of Departure. He gave a sheepish smile to her but as the argument grew, he noticed some subtle changes to Luna, namely her hair and her eyes. He tensed, this wasn't looking good. It wasn't until Steel stepped in that he could breathe a sigh of relief. He turned to Base, nodding once."I couldn't agree more!" He said."We haven't met, sorry. Name's Kross" He held out a hand for Base."Don't worry about formalities, I never really...particularly cared for them."

 

With the go ahead signal from Beuce, Stratos now started his full blown sprint towards the madame. And what he did next was simply the exact same thing that Beuce had done. Running in, he clapped his hands together, and then right where Beuce had cast his mine square, Stratos slammed both his palms on the ground to transmute the dirt in the earth into explosive Mine Circles...that's how Mine Square worked right? Regardless, if everything worked out perfectly then the only problem they would run into was if she summoned a Star Eater.

 

Base saw Steel try to discreetly force Luna behind a pillar.
"What part of 'We're on the same side does no one understa-'?" Base started to ask indignantly, but the glimpse of red in Luna's eyes finally caught his notice. He had no time to act on this before another individual was introducing himself and offering his hand. He was taken aback by both sudden events, but appreciated the more easily digested information. He did not know of Kross well. Hardly anyone spoke of him much when Base was around, and Base being the recluse he was, was unfamiliar with most of the party he was fighting with. That had to change, and fast.

"Sebastian Noble, my friend. Please, call me Base. Everyone else does." Base nodded towards Kross and shook his head. "Really? Formalities can be pretty fun sometimes." Base gave a light chuckle as they made their way back into the castle. "Tell me, Kross, have you ever met a talking Candelabra? Because it's his help we'll be needing in keeping Gaston at bay."

 

Ananta smiled, noticing her magic had dealt a decent amount of damage. Her teammates were doing well, they each did their part and now Mim could most certainly step around on one of those traps. Unfortunately, she wasn't ready for Mim to use such a bright light. Ananta tried to cover her eyes in time, but she still saw bright spots in her vision when she reopened her eyes. Instead of trying to attack Mim, she decided to go into protection mode. "Wind, protect me!" she said, lifting her stick up into the air with one hand. A gust of wind kicked up and a shield appeared around Ananta.

Ananta used AERO!

 

So far this fight was going well. Mim was now grounded for the time being and wouldn't be able to flew above them at all. Kel was getting ready to make his attack before Mim attempted to blind them all with a flash of light. Acting on reflexes, he used his arms to block the light as best he could, but just like what had happened with her first attack, there were still plenty of dots hindering his vision. "Don't think this is enough to stop me." Hindered vision and all, Kel went to attack the witch.

 

When Kaida turned around from getting food, the man holding the samples finally seemed to answer Cat and Glen, "Oh, this festival happens every year. If you want to hear the story behind it, the flower shop merchant tells it best." Kaida took a bite out of her food and after swallowing it she finally said, "Alright then let's go and ask!"

Kaida skipped around merrily and nearly dropped her food looking for the flower shop. She waited to see if the other three had caught up before she went up to the merchant and spoke, "Hello there. We're from out of town and we heard around that you tell the origin story the best. Can you tell us?"

Glen walked behind Kaida as she skipped over to the merchant. He wondered what had gotten her upbeat so quickly, did she really like flowers or something? In any case, it didn't particularly matter to him, so he chose to ignore it for the moment. He stood there patiently, with his arms by his side as he casually leaned against the stall. He didn't want to make a scene by asking too many questions the wrong way, so his best move would be letting Cat and Kaida talk to the merchants. After all, people seemed to get along better with those two than they did himself and Etrius.​

 

Base heaved his spare frame up against one of the mighty castle doors and managed his way inside. "Lumiere? Cogsworth? Mrs. Potts? We need your help! Invaders! Encroachers! But don't worry, we have the mirror." Base shouted out loud to the halls as he walked inside the wide entrance way. Base called back to his friend.

"If you were to lay seige to a castle, would you expect resistance D'daear?"

 

Mira smirked a bit. "I was wondering who would notice.." Mira sighed as she looked down. "Now my fun's ruined! Well damn, now whatever shall I do?" She gave off a sarcastic tone as she spoke. Mira closed her eyes as she crossed her arms. Mira found herself in front of Luna once more. " See! I told ya so!!" Luna stuck her tongue out at Mira as she pouted. "Oh shut it!" Mira looked away as she pouted. "Though, that grumpy girl still thought I was still you. Now she's gonna kick YOUR ass!......You're welcome!" Mira stepped toward Luna."This is getting boring now! Maybe I'll wait 'til later if things get interesting or not. So you can have your weak little body back." The chains around Luna had vanished. Luna stared at Mira as she questioned her. "Why give me back control when you still have time?" Mira started to walk away from Luna. "I just do things cause I want to. What about you Luna? Why keep secrets from people? Are you afraid of hurting someone or are you afraid of hurting yourself? Look at Krowley-.....I mean Hikaru, he told a big secret and he's gonna explain. But you just hide yourself away from others, wallowing away in despair behind a joyful facade." Luna did not speak one word as Mira faded away into the darkness. "This is the despair that led me to you, Luna and it will be your own downfall. No one to pick up your pieces or even worry for you. You have no one left......admit it now.....your home is gone, your family is gone, even your fiance is gone. You have nothing and no one left." With that, Mira faded into the darkness and Luna opened her eyes and saw Steel in front of her. Her hair and eye color returned to normal as she collapsed to her knees. "This time I actually remembered what happened......" Luna looked toward the ground as she didn't want to speak anymore.

 

Kross grinned and firmly shook the man's hand, the man who called himself simply 'Base'. It was a simple name to remember, plus it reminded him of instruments, which was an interesting little twist. It wasn't long until the two were on their way back to the castle with the others, and it was Base who spoke first, asking a question that made Kross's bright brown eyes sparkle and widen with wonder."A talking candle? Why..why no I haven't!"He answered."This candle guy, he'll help us keep that Gaston guy away from the castle? He must be pretty strong then." He trailed off before stopping at the entrance. He heard Base cry out to let the gates open and for them to pass. He looked to Base and nodded twice. He then saw the mirror Belle held glow green, showing what was going on, once he saw Aux, his eyes widened, feeling himself stiffen up. He pointed shakingly to the mirror with the man's reflection."Ah..ah..I remember him!" He said."That was the man who was in the Great Forest..I know that bulky body anywhere!"He said, remembering when Aux escaped through a time portal and flung Kross into the future,or winter, and corrupted that young deer, turning it into a heartless. He couldn't forget."That man almost killed me more than once.."He murmured.

 

Beuce began frantically waving his arms and panicking as she began to flash them. "OH GOD PLEASE NO SPARE M- oh it's just light. I thought...oh." He said, apparently not really caring about the fact he could barely see. Nevertheless, dots filled his vision and attacking would be somewhat of a moot point as the chances of hitting her were down the crapper. So instead...Why not call in a little help? He raised his fist to the sky as an orb of light appeared around it, apparently channeling some kind of magic. With an uppercut-like motion, he threw the orb into the sky. "Come on out, Dumbo!" When it descended once more, it was now much larger and an oblong shape. From it burst a small baby elephant with enormous ears. It landed right next to Beuce as he patted it on the back of the head. "Hey, long time no see. We're in a bit of a jam here. Think you could help us out and knock wrinkletits onto those mines?" He asked the elephant. Having understood him, Dumbo took flight and circled around mim. He fired a barrage of 10 water pellets, each one knocking her onto a different mine. "Yea-heah! Get her!" Called Beuce from the ground.

 

Having successfully laid his mines down, turned out that the witch didn't actually move at all. Well that was disappointing. Stratos wasn't entirely sure what to do next in this sort of situation, seeing as he was then totally blinded by some sort of bright flash attack, but with her most likely not going to step on any of the mines herself, Stratos decided to see if he could just shove the old lady onto his own mines. With his pathetic strength he ran up and started to try and combo her into the mines, praying the RNG was on his side.

 

So much went on that it was a little hard to keep up. Before he knew it, they were all heading back to the castle. D'daear noticed Base had met someone knew; having overheard him call himself Kross. On top of that, how could he NOT notice Steel take Luna somewhere away from prying eyes. What was going on with those two? "Hmmm..." was all the novice managed to utter before having followed the large group to the castle. They soon arrived, with Base having forced the castle doors open. He began to call into the echo inducing halls of the castle. "Lumiere? Cogsworth? Mrs. Potts? We need your help! Invaders! Encroachers! But don't worry, we have the mirror." Base said. D'daear quickly put his attention to Base as he inquired.

"Uumm...depends on the will of the people fighting to protect the said castle that was being laid siege too." he began to say, crossing his left arm under his right elbow while placing his right index and thumb on his chin, basically displaying a thinking gesture. "But...I guess as a default answer...Yeah, I would expect resistance."
