Video Game: Kingdom Hearts SOS: The Road To Light

"Yes Ma'am." Steel Said as the fairy godmother left them. "To protect the light is what the darkness inside of me exist for, that is all I desire." He thought to himself as he walked past the courtyard, and followed the carriage towards the palace. He didn't care what happened next; nothing would prevent this story from going by the book.

 

"You're right Raisor. It seems that the Rat is about to go down. Let's finish this quickly before anymore of us fall." He attacked at Ratigan towards the gears one more time.

 

Raisor hit Ratigan right after Eon, aiming him towards the gears one more time, hoping to knock him down for good.

 

Luna started to make her way toward the carriage. She looked inside her satchel and saw the box and the set of crowns she had in there. I promise you Mother and Father, that I won't let the princesses of heart be taken for evil purposes. Akira, where are you? I really need your help right now!! Luna started to run toward the carriage.

 

Flora was immensely tired. It was a wonder how she managed to get up and act like nothing was wrong. "Good job," she said to the other two. Flora wanted to keel over and nap, but they were almost heading back.

When Karina spoke up, Flora answered. "I think we should head back." 'About time too,' she thought.'

 

As Luna caught up with him, Steel realized that there had recently been a lack of character development due to the fact that everyone was posting without directly responding to each others actions. He didn't know Luna too well, and Kel and Etrius didn't seem to be catching up anytime soon, so he decided to start a brief conversation sequence so that these two characters could actually say they were friends; this previously would have been false because of the fact that they had barely said a sentence to each other. But When all was said and done, he just wanted to fill the space.

"What Do you intend to do with those crowns?" He asked.

 

Luna closed her satchel."That's none of your business!" Luna scowled at Steel and continued to run towards the carriage. She kept running and running towards the carriage.

 

Steel Chuckled at Luna's response. "I said it in my character description; it's not easy to keep secrets from me, but I do keep them rather well." He thought it could have gone better, but it didn't really matter; they had an objective to follow and the entertainment of the role players mattered little in the long run. He was saving them too after all....

 

The last blow was surely Eon's. They finally could defeat Ratigan. Spinning into the air, Eon thrashed his Keyblade into Ratigan, dealing what he believed, to be the final blow.

 

"Yeah." Flora said with a confident smile. She leapt backwards then gave the Leyblade a twirl and pointed it towards the Keyhole. A blue laser shot towards the Keyhole and into it, causing a loud 'CLICK!' To be heard.

She put the Keyblade in resting position, then turned to the others. "Mission complete?" She asked Sheepishly.

 

Base wandered around in a dark room. It was gritty, from the limited amount of it he could see and smelled the odor of burning fuel on his nostrils. He felt his way around the room, meeting obstruction after obstruction in his way, feeling a creeping sensation of cold trickle up the back of his neck as though an imperceptible monsters was tracing a claw up his spine from his clavicle over and over.

"So, tell me, Sebastian Noble, brother, how do you feel you're making out?" Called out a voice from the darkness. Base jumped; it seemed to be coming from all directions all at once, and what's more, it sounded very much familiar. He was still unsure though, as much as he was unsure of his direct surroundings.

"Who are you?" Base called back, finding at last on the tips of his fingers a strings of tiny metal beads dangling in mid-air that felt much like a light switch pull. Light permeated the darkness from a single dingy 40 Watt light bulb. Base looked on in fear as what he could see was a room with a black mesh metal flooring and grooved aluminum walls that were coated either in blood or great deals of rust; Base hoped it was rust only. There was really only one simple round wooden table in the middle of the small square room

"Hello, Base." This voice was different; a young girl's voice, one more around his age and riddled with authority.

"Benny? Who's the other guy?" Base was surprised to hear the voice of his friend.

"Base, right now you're subconscious is connected to the book in your bag, and is being animated through the Quest Complex's computers. You're body? Well, we aren't able to track you at all; it's always up to you to tell us where you are."

"Funny story. Yen Sid sent me off to a different world after I left Pleasure Island. I met two new people there, who are also Keyblade weilders; Shapur, who is a warrior like you wouldn't believe! He crippled one enormous beast with nearly every hit; and Krowley, who wears a suit and welll, he's pretty powerful too, but very quiet. Later on, we came across someone new like me: Beuce-"

"Beuce?" Benny giggled. "Beuce and Base?"

"Yeah, I thought the same thing." Base enjoyed the opportunity to laugh freely for once; despite his surroundings. "Say, where exactly am I?"

"Like I said, you are in a computer animated room. Your subconscious is locked to this world, so there are a lot of places you'll find you can pop up, even when you're not here. As for the program, well, we called you here this time. We used a program that happened to be availa-"

"Who was the guy who called me "brother"?" Base interrupted as the question could no longer be contained.

"Hmm?"

"Before you came on, there was another voice. Someone asked me how I was and called me their brother; I never had a sibling back on Theate."

"Nobody said anything, Base. We were trying to figure out the light animations for that room. It looks like the program was made recently. I'm surprised you're not shocked you're in a computer program right now."

"Takes a lot to get to me nowadays." Base took a seat in one of the chairs. On the table, he found a note, and read it, thinking it was likely from those at the controls.

I'll see you in Pleasure Island on your next visit. Be sure to visit them more often; Benny and the others really seem to miss you.

'Sonata? Who's Sonata?' Base thought to himself as he stuffed the note in the pocket he knew he didn't really have at that particular stretch in time and space. "Hey, Benny, you miss me?"

"Huh? Oh yeah! Lots! You really need to visit more."

"Maybe I'll crack open the book the next time I find my feet on solid ground. Should check that I'm not needed for anything though. These people I'm with... they seem to be on some kind of mission; I think they know about or of Yen Sid. I think that came up at some point... ugh... I can't remember."

"Try not to think about it too much; just visit soon, in the flesh. Everyone really misses you. It was Yen Sid who told us we could contact you this way, and it was Ronnie who just said a couple of hours ago: "Hey, can we call Base now?" And here you are. Lucky you were asleep."

"I'm not sure I am asleep... just... between states."

"What does that mean?"

"If you just saw what I did, you'd answer "I don't really know" just like I'm saying right now in reply." Base thought back. "I saw a bright light after Beuce locked the world we were in."

"Like you did here?"

"Yeah, a lot like that. It was like the world wanted it to be done, and his Keyblade reacted to it. Then the light swallowed me and the others."

"Anything after that?"

"Yeah, I woke up here."

"Well, be sure to fill us in on how the story fills out when you find time to come back here, because these calls don't work in reverse, and we can only get to you when you aren't awake. Okay?"

Base smiled. "Sure thing, Benny."

OOC: Just some filler between states to allude to more upcoming elements of Based Forward and cluing everyone into Base's recent past. Also, I'm aware EXP Writer has no effect for me yet.

 

Kel just remained silent as the fairy godmother explained what it was that they're next objective was. It was pretty straight forward for the most part, aside from the whole special light that Cinderella might be was confusing though. He wouldn't worry about it too much right now though. Right now he needed to escort the carriage, which once again Steel and Luna had gone up ahead. Kel merely sighed before running after them.

 

As Steel continued to walk, he saw unversed raise from the ground. He Grimaced; The hideous smell was returning. He saw that his speed was once again needed. He ran towards the carriage, catching up with Luna in mere moments. "Conversation time is officially over; let's get to work." He summoned his key blade and took up his usual fencing position. His first move was to charge forward and stab a Flood unversed. Then he assaulted some others with deft strikes. "Can't you distasteful maggots go hang out in a city dump or something?" He then stood tall with the hilt of his sword at his heart and the blade going up straight. "Stop." He whispered. A large field of time energy came to effect around the carriage; this caused all the unversed around it to slow down as usual, but more appeared as the carriage kept going. "You go on ahead, I'll take care of these Spoiled appetizers real quick."

 

Walking along the road, alone and dirty, is a girl with minty hair. To her side is the large key of light. Her only weapon to fight the skulking monsters she's encountered so far. Behind her, she can hear a carriage. Not unusual, she's heard and seen a few tonight and they've all been heading towards the same castle in the distance. Stopping in her tracks to get out of the way of the carriage, she looks back at it. This isn't an ordinary carriage! It's surrounded by the same monsters she's seen so far and it seems that there are others trying to defeat them. Eyes widening in surprise, she ran back, wanting to finally be with other people. She approaches the carriage just as more of the monsters appear. Holding her key in her left hand, she gets into a defensive position as the carriage passes by.

One of the monsters lunged at her and she steps to the side. It barely misses as she brings her key down on it, destroying it rather easily. Behind her, another attacks, hitting her in the shoulder and bouncing off. The impact hurt moreso than the strike it made. She soon began to assist the people here, destroying 4 of the monsters in the process.

 

As he was thrashing countless disturbingly odorous unversed, ( and wishing he had air freshener) Steel saw the new comer run up and begin to fight the unversed. "...And now I've lost the keyhole. Dang it! I'll never get enough exp!" He jumped up and needle-dived through 5 unversed before performing a rotating slash through 4 more. (they were floods) "Oh well." he sighed and ran after the carriage.
