Dale was down. Well, that was a surprise. The only reason Therity was probably standing is because she hadn't exactly been taunting Calxiyn much. Actually, nah. It's because she's just that strong. Therity landed a pretty epic blow, and that encouraged her a little after the awful rolls she'd been victimized by. If she, Gaius, and Charlotte could take her down in this last two attacks while the others healed up, then they'd be set. Therity smirked a little as she rushed at Calxiyn in what was to be one of the final blows of the battle.

Therity used Blitz.​

 

Suddenly, Brietta wasn't a pegasus anymore. That was good. And also Ren was starting to sound a little bit like he was on some drugs so nothing new really. Things were going okay. At least they were, until that ugly ass Wenlock guy decided to show his face again and knock them out of the sky. Well, it's a good thing they got this fancy little wand over here. Scarlett stood with her arms crossed in front of her chest, just waiting for the smug look on Wenlock's face to be wiped off by that wand that they had spent so much time creating. And then nothing happened. Annika tried again. Nothing. Umm wait isn't this the part where the wand is supposed to solve all our problems? Apparently not, because Wenlock was bouta turn all of them to stone. Scarlett yanked out her bow and had an arrow nocked within seconds when Annika fell to her knees. "Annika, no!" What was she doing? That was a big mistake. It only took a second for Scarlett to align her bow up to Wenlock's face and she was about to let the arrow fly when he did something completely unexpected. The extremely ugly man pushed past Annika and started towards Scarlett.

"What?" Scarlett's grip on the bow relaxed slightly as her face scrunched up in confusion, her arms lowering so that she could see Wenlock's face clearly. He wasn't joking. What the hell was wrong with this guy? He must really have issues getting girls if he is suddenly interested in me. And then Thomas started speaking. To be honest, Scarlett was expecting him to completely sell her out and hand her over to him. Thankfully, he didn't. When he spoke, Scarlett cracked a small half smile as he pretty much described her on point. She quickly wiped away the emotion though and replaced it with sass when she turned back to Wenlock. "You must be a hell of a lot more stupid than I thought you were if you think that there is even a chance that I'd go anywhere with someone as ugly as you." Her bow was still in position to fire and Scarlett decided that if he took more than two steps closer to her or tried to touch her in any way, she'd let the arrow fly. Your move, Wenlock.

After being healed from the recent attack Cal had dealt him, Veilen was back on his feet and feeling better than he had been during this fight. Likely due to Dale healing him, who had just been taken down. Cal must've released some pent up aggression within that attack. "Try as hard as you'd like to take us down, but you won't succeed. For we are a team and a team has each others back." A green glow had appeared in Veilen's hand as he finished speaking as he aimed the cure spell towards Gaius.

Zwei hadn't really said or done anything for quite some time. Still it was odd that Brietta had turned from a Pegasus into a regular girl. Meh, wasn't the oddest thing seen today. Thee group then proceeded to saddle up and fly towards a rocky mountain passed where they caught sight of Wenlock's griffon's. His first action was to shoot down Brietta which infuriated Annika to the point where she tried to use the wand to destroy him. Now call me crazy, but I don't think a wand of light is supposed to be used that way. Well if it was, it didn't work, at all. Annika then surrendered and to, well everyone's surprise Wenlock said he wanted to marry Scarlett instead. "You sure that we can just give up Scarlett, long he releases everyone from their stone prison." Zwei said, half joking and half actually considering it. Everyone else probably wouldn't go for it though, so he took out his throwing knife and got ready for the fight that was likely to happen.

Zephyr really was hoping that this door would have something not related to Everlue at all, especially after that last door that they'd opened. Aoki opened the door after the process of unlocking it and the library had been found. This was like a home field advantage for him for he's spent quite a bit of time in libraries as a kid. Though none of them were as big as this one. It was definitely going to take some time trying to find one book in here. A plan of action would be a good way to start. So after taking foot into the library, Zephyr started to looked around as to get a better feel for the situation. Judging from how big the library was, it might be a god idea for them to split up to cover more ground. "You wanna split up to see if we can find the book faster?" He suggested.

 

Dale had gone down, but it didn't matter. They would keep their teammates strong. "Sapphire eclipse has no rivals, Calxiyn. Only liabilities" He extended his hand toward Dale, sending a healing light to wash over him, healing his injuries, if only a little bit. Reaching down, he grabbed Dale's arm and helped him to his feet. "You may knock us down as many times as you wish, but you cannot defeat us! Like the sun, We will always rise again!" ​

 

After having used her body to shield Ra from the dark energy that was flowing from Cal, she noticed that the girl had gone and seemingly let loose the attacks that she had been using to single out targets this entire time twice upon Dale. Watching him fall to ground, Charlotte knew where her duty to defend would take her next. Cloaking herself in a shielding light, she proclaimed to Cal, "We each are one of a whole, a whole much larger than any of us on our own. Your power is all you have with you, and when you fall beneath the strength of our bonds, your power will abandon you." With that, Charlotte flung herself at Cal using barrier surge, afterwards going to block Dale's, currently unconscious, body.

Rho had continued to stand there, quite bemused by everything that was going on here. It had seemed that Everlue and Zephryine weren't exactly hitting it off, and the latter seemed to take offense at just about literally anything the former had said. It was an understandable reaction, but not one befitting her position, and her continued ever apparent anger was probably not going to do them any favors. Seeing her very telegraphed death stare, Rho simply patted her on the shoulder and with a calm look on his face shook his head as if to tell her her behavior was still unbecoming.

As the duo had entered the room, it revealed itself to be a pretty sprawling library room. Well, that was pretty convenient. This was a pretty promising place if ever there was one to find a book, and so they had to get to searching. She wasn't entirely sure if they were sorted in any specific order, but, they'd have probably have an easy enough time finding it here. As Zephyr suggested splitting up, Aoki nodded her head and said, "sounds good. Let's get to searching!" There wasn't really any danger to splitting up here, as the room wasn't big enough for them not to signal to each other if things got hairy for the other. So with that, Aoki went to searching.

With the wand now finally formed, Brietta freed from her nonsensical curse, and Hasu yelling at a rainbow in the sky, things were looking up for the group. Speaking of looking up, she could see something really ugly and deformed in the sk- oh it was Wenlock. Well that made sense then. Wait. It was Wenlock. Fuck. After that, Annika tried to use her wand of light extremely aggressively to basically murderstomp Wenlock with it...and it turned out to dud out. It was at that point that Wenlock then seemed to switch his gaze not from marrying Annika, but to Scarlett instead. Lucia couldn't help but chuckle a little at this turn of events at the proclamation, and then thinking of Wenlock and Scarlett in wedding attire together only made her start to laugh a little harder than she was. She pointed to Thomas and said to Wenlock, "the dude's totally spot on. I mean, if you don't want to marry Annika because of this one little transgression with her trying to kill you, that'd probably be your entire marriage right there." As everyone else had start to ready themselves for combat, Lucia said, "but seriously we're going to have to kick your ass." She then put on a more serious face and said, "after all, we're here to save our friend and clients who got turned to stone and protect everyone from ever having to deal with you ever again. And that right there," she pointed to the wand of light saying, "is complete proof of how far we're willing to go to save everyone. So after all, it's the perfect thing to protect us from whatever harm you throw our way." With that, she drew out her knives and got ready to tango with this Wenlock dude.

 

All of a sudden, Wenlock was before them, at first cowering at the sight of the Wand, and immediately triumphant when he realised that it wasn't working. The fool actually thought that he had much longer to live. No matter, it would soon be made known to him what his fate was.
Ren paced towards him casually, his hands in his pockets, with a mildly interested look on his face. “Well, Wenlock, looks like this is it. You should have made a run for it when Ferris told you we were after the Wand.” Ren began to pace around Wenlock slowly, maintaining his calm demeanour. “You didn't seriously think that you could defeat us all on your own, did you? You're not that powerful. If you were, then we would have heard your name before. But no ones outside this small kingdom has heard of Wenlock before, have they? You're an insignificant man who, even if you were successful here, would have absolutely no impact on the world. In fact, the only reason we haven't come to kill you sooner is that we were keeping you as a last resort. If we couldn't find the Wand of Light or some other means of reanimating all those people you turned to stone, then we were going to force you to do it. But now, you have no further use.”

Ren was slowly getting closer to Wenlock as he paced around him, his eyes boring into him emotionlessly, leaving no room for doubt in the other man's mind that he meant nothing to Ren at all. And yet, a part of him actually wanted to help the man. An evil person was often just one that needed the right person, a second chance. Wenlock, however... Ren didn't see any hope for him. The man was just too twisted. So, to Ren it seemed that his only real option was to continue his verbal attack, to torture Wenlock in his mind. He would show no mercy.
“And here you are, having moved on from your vile longings for one woman, to another. I wonder why that is? Let me guess, you want someone to love you. And yet nobody ever will. You're a twisted, sick man longing to be accepted by someone, and the only way that could possibly happen is for you to kidnap them and force them to fake a demonstration of some affection. Perhaps you have the futile hope that some perverted form of Stockholm syndrome will set in and make the woman actually like you.” Ren was standing directly behind Wenlock now, talking quietly into his ear. “Even then, you would know deep down that it was fake, worthless. You know that will never happen. Nobody will ever love you.”

Yeah yeah, platitudes and all that sort of stuff. Oh no rotting in hell. Such terror. Regardless, in order to circumvent all the one shotting and the next AOE, Charlotte used barrier surge on cal and body blocked for Dale. Exciting stuff I know. Really on the edge of your seat.

 

Well crap. Therity was directly hit with a strong attack and it brought her down. So apparently she wasn't that strong after all. Actually, she knew she was strong, but with that mask amplifying Cal's power, Calxiyn was just stronger than her at the moment. Yeah, that was it. Therity waited on the verge of consciousness to be healed because their team mates always healed each other. ​

 

Mizuki used Blitz. She jumped 5 times, each time doing 3 damage. She did 15 damage, but with Strength and Weapon she did 40 damage.
Sara used Blitz. She jumped 3 times, each time doing 3 damage. She did 9 damage, but with Strength and Weapon she did 30 damage.
Alessia used Blitz. She jumped 5 times, each time doing 5 damage. She did 25 damage, but with Strength and Weapon she did 55
Jack used Cure on himself. It healed 27 of his HP.
Clara used Encouragement. Alessia's Defense rose by 2.
Silva used Cure on Thea and Protected Thea. It healed 9 of her HP.

All together, the Mouse King took 125 damage. It reduced 2 damage.

Mouse King used Grow. It make this Strength go up by 5. It would last 2 turns.
Mouse King used Rockfall on Sara. It did 6 damage, but with Strength, Magic and Weapon it did 38.

The Mouse King had now taken down Sara. He seemed just a bit misogynistic, seemingly only targeting the girls for whatever reason.
