This guy was really starting to bug Veilen. The whole 'Why weren't they notified' thing was likely Dale's fault, which he hadn't said anything on the matter, and when both Gaius and himself gave reasons, not the best of reason, but reasons nonetheless, as to why they didn't get the message and they go and call them crybabies. Seriously, what the hell? "Who're you calling a Crybab-wait emblems?" What emblems were he talking about? There was the tattoo he had on his right shoulder, but he doubt that that was what he was talking about.

Since what they were referring to wasn't on his shoulder and he assumed that he wasn't anywhere below the waist, Veilen started to look around the chest area to see if he could find it. It didn't take long for when he looked down, he noticed out of the corner of his eye what appeared to be part of a crescent moon sticking out of the open part of his vest. He then grabbed the zipper and moved it down far enough that he could fold part the part of his vest where the moon was at. Upon folding the part of his vest far enough back, he could clearly see the blue crescent moon on his chest. "Is this what you guys were talking about!?" He called out to the gate. It had to be, he didn't have that many symbols on his body in the first place.

 

Galuna Island


Ander's pov:
So the person wanted to see there guild Emblems. What a strange request. He did not remember getting his. They must do have done it in there sleep.
He looked up at the 20 foot high gate. Well asking to see there Emblems was beyond point lest for the simple fact that there was no way the man asking to see the emblems could possibly see it from that high up.
"I don't see how you could possible see the guild emblems even if we showed them to you. Unless..." He gave a small smile.
" you come out here to see them." This was there chance to get the man to open the gate.

 

Ra looked up at the massive gate before them. Atop it was a man shouting down at them to show their guild marks to prove their status as wizards. This told him two things. One, that they had retained their sense of being from the curse, and two, they were trying to keep something out. This could be simple paranoia, or there could be something on the Island they felt they needed to defend against. He couldn't say for sure which one it was yet. Nevertheless, this was their destination and they needed entry. Reaching up, Ra grabbed the fabric portion of his outfit and pulled it down. On his collarbone rested a bright golden Sapphire Eclipse emblem. Having shown them what they wanted to see, Ra pulled up the fabric, covering his skin once more.

"Now then, let us pass."

Orpheus lay against the wall, his skin burning, pain coursing through his body. His consciousness was fading rapidly. Was this the end? Hm. Maybe so. Just as soon as he had accepted his fate, the pain subsided. He could feel his skin being stitched back together through magic. Opening his eyes, he saw a hooded man standing above him, healing him. Though his face was hidden, Orpheus knew the man well. It was Alastor. His guild mate. The man told him that he would not die here. That he would have the opportunity to create as many corpses as he so desired. Rising to his feet, Orpheus smiled. "So we are to destroy them, are we? We'll need to regain our strength first...Thea still lives, though i believe her to be captured. Yana perished a fair while ago." Orpheus didn't seem displeased by the fact that one of the most elite mages in their guild was dead. In fact, it seemed to delight him. They hadn't lost her power at all. He'd gained it under his command. "Come, Alastor. We have an ally to regain."

Calxiyn woke up, lying on the floor. "Oh no oh no Dale is going to kill my for sleeping on the job!" She could feel her hands tied, and it felt like they were covered in ice. She couldn't summon her Keyblade with her hands tied like this. She opened her eyes. She was in a dark, dim lit cave, and behind her, she saw mountain of ice. She wondered if the others were here too, but she wasn't quite used to the darkness yet. “Where… where am I?...”



"You're in my company now. Tell me, who are you? Why are you here on this island? Few people cross to Galuna Island."

The man looked down at her, chained to an iron ring set into a stalagmite in the floor of the chamber. He folded his arms as he addressed her, brushing a lock of golden hair out of his emerald eyes, revealing a harsh scar running from his forehead above his right eye down his nose and completing finally below his left. His features, while slightly shadowed in the dim lighting were familiar to her. His gaze was a cold one- Analytic and emotionless. His mouth was set in a line, neither happy nor sad, jovial nor displeased. The only impression was the overbearing sense of superiority that radiated from him, emphasised by the finer clothes he wore, brown slashed with gold along the lines of the shirt. The rest of his clothing followed that pattern, right down to his boots.

"Clara!" Alessia yelled, seeing her friend being shrunk. What was even more surprising to her, was the Nutcracker. It's speaking? How? Did Evanora buy her a magical nutcracker? Why did she do that? It didn't matter right now. Clara was in danger. I'll make up breaking the Nutcrack- Wait... Still... I'll save you! "I'm coming Clara I'll defend you!" Alessia rushed headlong into the fray.
"Let's see what my new trick can do!" She cried, charging into battle, a shield of golden energy appearing around her. She narrowed her eyes at the weaker looking mouse that faced her. "You first!" She looked around as she attacked. Everyone was beset by the same number of creatures as she. Her eyes widened. Oh no! Silvia!
"I'll be there as soon as I can Silvia! Hang on!" Silvia wasn't a very good fighter, she knew that. She had to help her, and by doing so she'd help protect Clara.

Gaius had ceased his yelling as the others started showing their guild emblems. If they had given in, there wasn't much point in trying to argue it. Although, Ander did bring up a good point. How was the man going to see their guild emblems from up there? This was a problem. A problem that could be solved! Rushing over, Gaius grabbed Veilen and lifted him up. "Can you see it now?" he called out, but received no response. Setting Veilen down, he turned to look at Ra. "I need help to throw him. If we throw him high enough, they're bound to see the guild emblem!" Gaius explained. Together, he and Ra grabbed Veilen and hurled him up into the air as high as they were able.

At the mention of Thea and Yana, Alastor tensed up and for a moment he stopped healing. Yana dead, he half expected. He always knew the girl's destructive tendencies would get the better of her, but Thea being alive was a shock. He had assumed her dead, and now he found out that not only was she alive, but she was captured? He resumed the healing, trying to remain as visually unsettled as he could muster. Once the healing was done, he stepped back. If Thea was indeed captured, he knew exactly who would've captured her. Sapphire Eclipse had her.

"If that guild has her, taking her back would not be simple. You have seen their power firsthand, and you have also seen Thea's. We need Thea if we are to accomplish our goal, but I doubt they would give up a captive so easily. A guild is the thing keeping her captive, it will take a stronger guild than that to get her back and crush them once and for all" Alastor said, his voice showcasing no emotion. "We must gather allies, Orpheus. We will see who will join our cause, and who will not. Those who accept will fight for us, those who deny will be killed and using your particular talents will serve us. We will cut a bloody swath through all that stand in our path, killing any and all that oppose us for all time" the magician stated, a grim tone to his voice.

If he was going to start a guild, he could not bear the emblem of another. Gritting his teeth, he lifted up the sleeve of his left arm and put his right hand above the guild symbol that was there. His hand began glowing a dark red as it began radiating intense heat. He placed the hand using fire magic over the top of it and began his work. The heat was intense, but Alastor remained strong, gritting his teeth through the pain. Halfway through the process, he could no longer remain quiet, and with tears from the pain welling up he began yelling out, swearing profusely until at last the guild emblem was no longer on his skin. It had taken extraordinary control just to burn away the top layer of the skin so that his arm would still be able to be used. It hurt a lot, but there was no indication he had ever been part of Magus Ascension.

His job done, he turned to Orpheus. "I may have failed to kill Sapphire Eclipse when I was assigned, but now that I know their strengths and weaknesses, they don't stand a chance. When Ezekiel sent that boy to deliver a message, he challenged the guild, and ultimately it proved to be his downfall. We lost the battle, and they believe they have won, but I promise you this, Orpheus: It will be us that are the victors of this war" Alastor said, his face deadly serious.​

While Veilen had been standing there with part of his vest folded down, revealing his guild mark, Ander had brought up a good point. How were they suppose to see it from all the way up there. They'd been pretty much yelling at each other so that explained why they could hear each other, but seeing was a different matter. Especially something as small as the guild mark on his chest. Now this did pose a real problem. A problem that Gaius had managed to come up with a solution for.

At first he was confused as to why he'd suddenly gotten taller, but when he looked and saw that Gaius had lifted him up in order for it to be easier for them to see his guild mark. Unfortunately it didn't work. What it did to was give Veilen an idea on how they could spot his guild mark and it seemed that he wouldn't need to even say it. Gaius and Ra had both approached him, leaving Veilen with enough time to say "FIRE!" as he was hurled into the air. He'd ended up being thrown just above whoever was on the gate so he directed to his guild mark again and shouted. "This is our guild mark! We all have it so open the gates!" Now if that didn't work, he would have to resort to going back up there and opening the gate himself. Speaking of which, how was he going to get down. "...Aw CRUD!!" He cried out as his descent back down to the ground begun. Man would aero be a handy spell to have right now.

Caleb also followed the objective. Walking, no talking though he's too antisocial at the moment. He walked to the place with the thing at that time. Yeah, you know the one i'm talking about.

 

After immediately getting up on one of the horses, Lucia had heard what Thomas said to her and looked at the horse she was riding; her voice going deadpan she said, "I think I made the wrong choice." Simply neighing in response, the horse had continued its flight while all the questions and answers were being shot out and asked. She was trying to comprehend most of this, as best she could given the fact that the situation had dynamically changed...twice, in a short period of time, though after Brietta's comment was made about Caleb's appearance, she looked at him. She couldn't help but agree. Eyeliner just didn't look good on him. Eventually they had all managed to come to a castle...in the clouds...with lots of other flying horses. Well that was certainly unexpected. As they were walking along she looked to the pink horse, Brietta as it would be and said, "so uh...don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of the fact that you saved us all, but uh...why? I mean, clearly you don't like this Wenlock dude, but uh, is it just a simple matter of cock blocking him or what? Also, do you actually have a plan to keep her safe other than like...flying away for the moment. Because we'd kind of like to kick his ass in, and revert everyone back to not being stone, ya know?" As they continued walking, she then pointed at Annika and said, "also, she has like a huge habit of running away from magical people, flying horses I'm sure would fit into this category too, so like, if you want to protect her and all, you're gonna have to find some way for her to not bolt out of here the second she gets a chance." With that, she continued walking alongside everyone else.

As everyone was showcasing their guild emblems to this foul mouthed gatekeeper, Charlotte was about to, however something interesting happened. Gaius and Ra had both teamed up to throw Veilen as high as he could go in order to show the gatekeeper his emblem. Charlotte sighed at this development and walked over to catch Veilen as he fell down back to the ground. Reaching out her hand, she was about to grab him by his jacket, though some unforeseen circumstances had prevented her from doing so. His jacket was the only sort of article of clothing that the boy had worn. In addition to hardly covering any of his body, it was also rather tight fitted onto the boy, and so her fingers merely slid off of his body as she attempted to grab him. Her serious expression not changing a bit as Veilen hit the ground. She only slightly turned her head towards him and said, "be sure to wear looser clothing next time." It was then that she turned back towards Gaius and Ra and said, "and you two! Where do you get off throwing your guildmates like that?" She let out another sigh as she said, "honestly. If you were going to hoist your comrade into the air, at least do it properly." She then grabbed Veilen by the shirt and held him so that he was parallel to the ground. "When throwing someone it is important to do it arcing motion. This way they already have an initial moment when leaving your grasp rather than starting from zero." She then swung Veilen backward, as if she were starting a pendulum motion and said, "do it like so." She then swung Veilen opposite of the direction she had done so earlier as she released her grasp on him, flinging him straight into the air with all of her strength.

Now this was an exhilarating fight. Mizuki, having stepped back a bit from her opponents to catch a breather and adjust her footing, was tensing up her body for another strike. That one on the left, it looked weak. She would deal it one last blow, and then turn her attention to the other mouse. It might get a hit in on her, but it wouldn't be anything too serious.
Suddenly, out of nowhere, that blonde girl flashed past, charging towards the weak mouse Mizuki was targeting. Enraged, Mizuki dashed after her, catching up within a few steps, and smashing her elbow furiously into the side of the blonde girls head.
“THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?!” Mizuki roared. “GET BACK TO WHERE YOU BELONG.”
The looming shadow of one of the mouse soldiers rose above them. Damn. While Mizuki had been dealing with this blonde bitch, the mice had taken advantage of the opportunity and closed in on them. Gritting her teeth, her fury fueled by both the other girls stupidity and the mouse soldiers cunning, Mizuki drove her sword into the belly of the mouse standing over them, sliding it in right up to the hilt. It was almost certainly dead.

"They're here! They're really here!" The gate started to rumble and open. Beyond the door, was the entire village, covered head to toe in cloth.


"I am Moka the village Chief." The man with the crescent moon staff said. "On behalf of the village I welcome you."

“Why should I tell you anything?” Calxiyn barked, though you could tell she was very weary and cold, shivering immensely. It was so cold, the chains made of ice felt like they were freezing her.


"Because I've a short temper and I'm an impatient man. I have business here that I do not wish to be interrupted. My work has gone on far too long to be interfered with by an interloper. So I'll ask again." The man knelt down, his face not far from her's. "Who are you, and why are you here?"

“Bite me.” She spat at him. Maybe the tiredness gave her some nerve.

Dale groaned audibly at the sound of the other's antics when dealing with the gate guards, but they were already mouthing off and he had no room to speak. He just facepalmed and let them get on with it. He didn't even bother revealing where his guild mark was, he just waited for them all to finish with all their nonsense. This included the nonsense about throwing Veilen into the air. While he admired Charlotte's proficiency for physics, it wasn't exactly what they needed right now. Diplomacy and sensibility would work just as fine, although he got the impression that they'd get bored and do something even more ridiculous to relieve their 'boredom'. They seemed to respond positively to this bullshit however, and blinking a couple of times in surprise, he stepped forward to lead them through with an authoritative stride. I have no idea how you guys managed to get that to work, but you did. Well done I suppose, even though by all rights in any sane world it shouldn't have worked in any way whatsoever. That said, who said this was a sane world? I think I got born in the wrong reality.
"We thank you for the kind greetings Moka." Dale replied formally. They need to know there's at least one person who isn't an idiot here. I may as well establish myself as such. "Apologies for the delay, however we are here now."



"You should have gone down that time!" She exclaimed. Apparently, her sword didn't contribute to that attack. Groaning, she turned to face the mouse again. She had to finish this thing off and then she'd try her next trick on the big guy. She wrapped herself in the golden barrier and charged again, hopefully finishing the weaker mouse off.

“You don’t seem like a hero to me. You wouldn’t chain me up if you were. I’m not telling you anything, I have the information you want, and that is the only thing keeping me alive, I imagine. So why don’t you get lost.” She glared. A piece of golden hair fell in through of her face, and she shook her head to move it so she could see better.




The man smirked, and indeed chuckled at her words, getting to his feet.

"I never claimed to be a hero young lady. I'm not a bad person either. I don't want to kill you, it doesn't help me. I simply don't want you to interfere. My work here has gone on for so long. I'll have my vengeance on that which has wronged me, I don't wish to see that ended. Besides, the thing I'm stopping is a threat to us all." He folded his arms and sighed. "Look, this is simply a precaution. I have no quarrel with you and I don't wish to have my temper riled. Please, be reasonable." His voice didn't sound as detached, it sounded like a reasonable person speaking now.

"There is no reason for us to have a disagreement here."

Veilen was thrown up to the gate. Then he was thrown up again. were would he land? Maybe he would land on whatever was casing the curse and end it and they could go home. The chance of that happening was slim but he could always hope. Telling the man that there was not point in showing there guild emblems had worked. What? The gate opened and Moka had introduced himself. It was time to get to why they were here. Just standing around was not doing anything.
"What can you tell us about the curse on the island?" He silently wondered if this was the man that would not let them into the gate.
"Also any other information you can tell us will be helpful."

Amanda's pov: Ren had a point why didn't they go to this witch, she was not liking the way the pegasus were handling this. "I agree with ren maybe the witch has something we can use. Also why can't we go back, kick his butt and brake the wand in half, you said it wasn't easy. It seems like it would be fairly easy to do. We can just distract him or something." she said shyly. "Also what's your name" she asked her own Pegasus shyly as she rode it. If it had none she would think of one later. There was also the fact that the pegasus seemed not to have a plan at all.

Unfortunately I'm not level 5 yet and I can't duel wield. This is a problem. Turning to face her new opponent, Alessia decided then to use an ability that would actually work with her weapon unlike her last one apparently and sliced at the offending mouse using her new move, Blitz.
