I thought they were still gonna sell them as separate games, but now I'm definitely getting it for the Vita.

Chances of a January/February release for NA/EU? *guffaw*

 

They are still selling them separately for the Vita, it's just that they made a dual pack for those who wanted both. But that is probably not going to come to the West. It wouldn't be too surprising if especially the Americas got a different boxart too.

If KH1.5 is anything to go by, this will probably be a spring/summer release.

I know but I think originally they had only said that you would get both for PS3, then announced the Vita pack later.

I don't see why it wouldn't - it would be unfair if they released X/X-2 for PS3 and not the Vita in the West, no? There would probably be a shitstorm if people had to buy both separately at full retail price just because they want them portable.

Same here. I get that they are trying to make it all orchestral and stuff, but it really does slow down the pace now that I hear it compared to the original. Good for a cinematic but maybe not for the gameplay itself...

I feel like for some of these remastered tracks, it's gonna be a hit or miss thing. I'd love to hear the Calm Lands' theme all vamped-up...

Auron looks like the biggest imrpovement. The low poly models don't look any different to me.

The improvement is noticeable, especially since my roomie just replayed the original and I have it fresh in my mind. I really want them to do more than just touch up the faces though, 'cause some of the lip/jaw movements were severely awk. I dunno how much that is to ask of them, but since they've made similar changes to KH1.5 it can't be that hard.

 

Changing animation is a lot of work but... FFX needs it.
Personally, I'm hoping that's why it took so long to get out
