No, not a film that is set in a classical setting, or a film from the 1950s.
What I mean is what is your favourite film which is a "classic", a film that will go on to be unforgettable, always mentioned among great works, despite the time it was made. A film of such originality that no other human being can remake it.

    My favourite animated classics:
    -Lion King
    -Monsters Inc.
    -Wallace & Gromit series
    -Aladdin
    -Prince Of Egypt
    -Sinbad
    -Atlantis
-Almost everything by Disney, Pixar, and most productions made by DreamWorks

    Favourite live classics:
    -Anything by Tim Burton
    -Anything by Spielberg
    -Bruce Lee Films etc. etc.

Er... Prince of Egypt was a biblical tale. The story has been told through film several times (i.e. "The Ten Commandments"). Unless you mean with the same character development, songs, etc.

Schindler's List is the first that comes to mind for me. I can't imagine someone recreating it.

I couldn't imagine a concept like Schindler's List being creatable.

And also, as for Prince Of Egypt, I would think it is more based off of the biblical tale(and by based, I would admit EXTREMELY based), but what I admire the most about that film is the animation style and character development.

The Outsiders (based of the novel by S.E. Hinton). I see it as a classic partially because it stayed scary close to the original source material, espeically after they released it as "The Outisders: The Complete Novel". This movie is where a lot of big actors like Patrick Swayze and Tom Cruise either got their start or got really rememberal roles. It's also just the story of prejudice and the death of innocence that just brings it all together.

The Lion King - 'nuff said

    The Parent Trap
. No, not the Lohan remake, but the one staring Hayley Mills. I watched this movie a lot when I was a kid and I still get a few laughs from it 'til this day. Probably the part I mostly remeber is when they do the Speghetti dinner and sing "Let's Get Together".

There's probably more that I consider classic, but I just can't think of any right now. (irony)

Basically all classic Disney films, I won't list them all as I'll be here forever, but my favourite it Lion King- reminds me of my childhood. Other classic films that I love probably include Kill Bill- I've going to assume this can be counted as a classic, I just love the sword fighting and the entire plot just fascinates me. All the Back to the future films as well, I haven't watched them in a while but they do always manage to make me smile.

I'm sure there are loads more that I could list.

    - Any of the older Disney films
    - Any of the older Time Burton films (Nightmare before Christmas, Edward Scissorhands, etc.)
    - Star Wars original trilogy
    - Balto (First movie was mind-blowingly good, sadly the two sequels were vomit-inducingly-bad)
    - Pokemon: The First Movie.
