Oh, gosh. Spirited Away was my first Ghibli film, and I just immediately fell in love with it. I had grown up with the Disney classics and traditional animation, but Miyazaki's films brought something entirely new to the table that I was smitten with instantly. Out of all of the films, Spirited Away is my favorite, with Howl's Moving Castle in a very close second. :)

I love House of Mouse! Who remembers the episode where Pete got onstage in a ballerina outfit and sang a song his Gram-Gram used to sing to him? xD I agree with the idea of showing reruns, but no new episodes. I'd also like to see all the original Mickey cartoons come back. "Mickey and the Seal" is one of my favorites.

    1. Bells of Notre Dame -Hunchback of Notre Dame
    2. Kiss the Girl - The Little Mermaid
    3. Belle - Beauty and the Beast
    4. Heffalumps and Woozles - The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
    5. Hellfire - Hunchback of Notre Dame

I think that I'm a little biased towards Hunchback, though, since my favorite composer was the lyricist for the songs in that movie. xD

In CoM R/R, Repliku's feeling empty, always like a shadow to Riku, and his death scene, was very sad for me. Especially the line, "A faithful replica 'til the very end...that's okay."

I love Lea! She inspires me so much! ^_^ She was amazing in Spring Awakening, and I cannot even begin to count how many times people have compared to her character, Rachel, on Glee. xD

Xion's death was so sad! If it hadn't been for the music in the background, the scene wouldn't have been nearly as effective. I'm really big on theatre and acting, and I know that it takes a lot to make a scene work. As always, KH did a wonderful job of that. :'(

True. CoM was really intense, in the way that Larxene and Marluxia both messed with Sora's mind to the point of cruelty. And BBS...wow. Just, the entire storyline. And compared to the original movie, Clayton's death scene was tame. Watching his death in the movie is still haunting, even now.

Yeah. I mean, don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed the princess movies too, being the die-hard Disney fan I am. I loved Hunchback, it's one of my favorites! :D And Emperor's New Groove was simply hilarious!

It seems like a lot of the Disney movies without the Disney princesses in them tend to get forgotten over time. Or, maybe just brushed to the side in favor of Prince Charming and Cinderella or whatever. So, I'd like to discuss some of the other Disney movies.

My favorite non-princess Disney film would probably have to be either Pinnochio or Oliver and Company. :3 Disney sure knows how to make precious childhood memories.

Oh yeah, both of those were pretty intense, too. BBS was a fairly dark game in itself, I think, but that's what made it so enjoyable for me. Terra was an altogether dark character, Vanitas too. -shudders, remembering that crazy laugh-

Hmm...for me, it's a tie between Scar and Maleficent. And also, James Woods as Hades is too funny. :3

Oh, man, I can think of way more than six...xD But, to narrow it down to my favorites...

    6. "If you can dream it...you can do it." -Walt Disney (I dunno if he counts, since technically, he's not from a MOVIE, but...he's the one who started it all, so yeah.)

    5. "Do not be fooled by its commonplace appearance. Like many things, it is not what is outside, but what is inside that counts." -The Peddler from Aladdin

    4. No one can have a higher opinion of you than I have, and I think you're a slimy, contemptible sewer rat!" -The Great Mouse Detective

    3. "Ladies don't start fights, but they can finish them!" -Marie from The Aristocats

    2. From Oliver and Company:

Georgette: Save me, Alonzo, save me!
Tito: Get off my back, woman, I'm driving!

    1. "The past can hurt. But the way I see it, you can either run from it or learn from it." -Rafiki from The Lion King

I agree. It's clear that even after his friends have forgiven him, he has a really tough time forgiving himself. His struggle with his own darkness is very sad, but makes for some wonderful cutscenes. David Gallagher (English voice actor for Riku, for those who don't know) does a really good job of portraying that pain, IMO.

I'm just curious to see what you guys think are some of the darkest/saddest/most intense moments in the series. For me, I think much of Riku's storyline in the first game is pretty dark, as it should be. CoM is fairly dark, as well, in my opinion. Anyway, post your thoughts here! ^_^

I really hate pretty much all the Heartless in the Atlantica level, because they just took patience that I don't have. I don't have a problem with Invisibles, but Angel Stars got on my nerves because Donald would always cast magic on them and make them regain HP right before I was about to kill them. -_-
