How do I watch a forum?

Watching a forum is almost identical to watching a thread. Head over to the section you would like to watch and click Watch Forum.

How can I contact the KH-Vids staff?

If you have general questions about how to use the site, try looking in this guide or posting in our Site Assistance section. Alternatively, you could message someone on our staff team, either by personal conversation or by leaving a post on their profile. Most if not all of us have additional contact details listed in our profiles (messengers and email).

Are there any rules regarding my signature?

Normal members are allowed one image in their signature. Premium members are allowed two.
You may not place videos within your signature, though you may link them.
Your signature should not exceed 500px by 500px total (includes images and text).
Only one .GIF (moving picture) is allowed per signature. The .GIF may not exceed 700kb.

A staff member reserves the right to edit or remove items from your signature without prior warning should they feel it is inappropriate or otherwise against our rules. Repeated disregard for this will result in punishment.

How can I customize my usertitle?

Custom usertitles are limited only to staff and Premium members. When you belong to one of those two groups, you can edit your Personal Details, which has an option for usertitle customization.

What is a usertitle?

A usertitle is a small phrase displayed under your username on each of your posts. They often signify rank, though they can also be customizable.

What is a Super Moderator? How are they different from Sectional Moderators?

A Super Moderator is like a Sectional Moderator, but with more power. They have control of every section of the forum, they can ban members, and more. Staff members typically begin as Sectional Moderators and are later promoted to Super Moderators.

Why are some usernames colored? What do they mean?

A colored username signifies the user’s usergroup (see Usergroup section of the FAQ for more information).

Blue and bold usernames = Administrators (Username looks like this)
Purple usernames = Super Moderators (Username looks like this)
Red usernames = Sectional Moderators (Username looks like this)
Green usernames = Reporters (Username looks like this)
Orange usernames = Coders (Username looks like this)
Pink usernames = Premium Members (Username looks like this)
Light gray usernames = Banned users (Username looks like this)

How can I join the staff?

Staff applications are open at all times to Premium members; for non-Premiums, we will occasionally post in our news forums with them when we need people. If you feel you have something unique to offer the site in the meantime, contact a staff member.

How do I know where to put my threads?

Each section has a short description accompanying it; that and the title should give you some indication of what should be placed in there. If you are still unsure, check the stickies or contact a staff member.

Even if you place a thread in the wrong section, one of our staff members will happily move it for you.

What is the Top Five? How can I participate?

The Top Five is a video contest held weekly by the KH-Vids staff. Videos submitted to our Video Portal are reviewed by a member of the staff team; they select their favorites for that week, and feature them on our homepage! You can learn more about the Top Five by talking to our staff member Stardust.

To participate in the Top Five, add the keyword ‘top 5’ to your video when you’re uploading and it will be automatically submitted!

How do I get an avatar?

You can select an avatar by clicking your name’s dropdown and clicking the avatar image. Avatars and icons can be found all over the web; please note that you should check with the creator’s policies for use, and give credit where credit is due!

Alternatively, you can visit our Graphics Shop and request a custom avatar from one of our many talented designers.

Please note that GIFs do not always work as avatars, due to an issue with image processing on our server. We are trying to resolve the problem, but static images work best!

How do I get into the post editor?

At the bottom of each of your posts, there is a link that says ‘Edit’.

If you’ve only spelled something wrong, or it’s some sort of quick edit, you may not need to follow the next step—just make your changes and submit it! Otherwise, press this button:

And you’ll be brought to a new page…

Under this new screen, you can make advanced edits to your posts/threads.

That’s fine! KH-Vids offers a number of privacy options for you. You can edit your settings on this page, and limit certain information to three options: All Visitors, Members Only, or People You Follow Only. If you have sensitive content on your profile, we recommend locking it down!

I uploaded a video to the Portal but it hasn’t appeared. What gives?

Each video uploaded must be manually approved by a staff member. It should appear within a few hours—if it’s been longer than that, feel free to message a staff member. We’re usually pretty quick about it!

How do I download videos off the site?

Scroll to the top of the page and hover over the Media tab on the navigation bar. A pop-out menu will appear, with Cutscene Archive as one of the sublinks. Each Kingdom Hearts box will be listed into its own individual box—find the one you’d like to download from, and choose from the listed options!

After that, you will be brought to a page that lists the various cutscenes available from the game. Click the Download now… link or image; from there, the download will either launch, or the link will take you to Mediafire.

How do I put an image into my signature?

Click the dropdown with your name and select Signature. A space will appear for you to edit your signature.

Here you can add the BBCode for an image—it’s pretty simple. Get a direct link to the image, and wrap img tabs around it, like so:
